うちは、両親とも、あたしの水泳にすごく熱心でねー。
小さい頃から練習にもたくさん行かされてたんだ。
Both of my parents were really eager about my swimming.
They made me go to a lot of practices since I was a kid.

まだ小さかったから、きつい練習が嫌になったりもしてさ。
遊びに行きたいって、駄々こねたりもして、
たくさん困らせたんだ。
And since I was really young back then, I started to hate going to those tough practices.
I really bugged them a lot by wanting to play instead and throwing tantrums.

そんなときに、お父さんが
連れてきてくれたんのが、水族館！・・・・・・そこではね、
スイスイ泳ぐ魚を見て、みんなが目を輝かせてた。
Then one time, my dad took me to an aquarium park! There, I was watching those fishes swim smoothly with my eyes shining.

泳ぐことで、みんなを笑顔にできるんだって、
そう思った！だから、あたしも
自由自在に泳げるようになりたいって・・・・・・。
I realized that swimming can bring smiles to people! Which is why, I myself wanted also be able to swim freely...

そんな思いでがあるから、水族館も水泳も好きだった。
・・・・・・でも、今は、水族館にも水泳にも、
別の思いでが・・・・・・ねぇ、何だかわかる？
