[14:57] The rat waves the cat down, obviously spotting someone well worth her while passing.

She's not at all waiting around, barely even making a sound as she explodes in all red, jumping right out with a mere red mist where she stood before..- It might seem she was still by Aries! - But no... Surely Yuri knew better than to move along here, their partner was surely ignored.

And so, showing right up at the youngster's side, a tough, metal tail curls around to slap them right off the path itself.

Then she'd squeak up. "'CHA DOIN' 'ERE NOBLE LOVER?!" Not a lot's changed with the rat.

[15:05] What should have been a time to make sense out of a messy slew of emotions turned to be a terrifying moment for the young Knight. His heart picks up at the sight of that woman - at the sound of her voice. Before he knows it Yuri has one hand reached up behind his back to grasp on his weapon while the other holds itself protectively before Jianyu.

He's terrified. That much can be seen in his eyes, in the way his legs tremble under him, yet, he stands still. He stands between the rat and the Shengese, despite the latter not being the target of aggression.

"Y-You back off. Your.." arrogant ".. commander said that we could be here - that this was the path we could take."

A pause as he redoubled in bravery with a drawn breath. Those forces from the ether beyond would be needed here. This was the woman who'd left a mark on him that would carry shame throughout the rest of his life. This familiar feeling of being watched over by those who are long gone surfaces as a strong, kind hand gives him a metaphorical push from behind.

Yuri pulls from that.

It may not have a been a Demon, and the occult was not present with Misha's heart but a regular show of strength wouldn't be enough to show her that he serious. That his words weren't just to be ignored.

Yuri summoned forth the might of the past, shrouding himself in blue as he tugged at the spirit realm itself.

"Leave us alone."

[15:09] Aries strolls up slowly standing a few steps behind Misha, as if to avoid making any real commitment to the situation - yet.

Nevertheless, he flexes his muscles, and does his best to look intimidating, emitting a low feline growl as his jaguar mask snarls to match.

[15:11] Some things can send people into a blind fury. Faced with that which they despise can pull the strings of rationality and reason.

The perfect candidate was a rather simmered down Rat who frequented this area. Patrolling? Maybe. A sense of 'peace' allowed for something like this, walking freely.

She explodes with rage and even called Yuri a noble, laughable. This boy? A noble?

Jianyu stands still as her rage directs to the young man in question and said young man went for his sword, drawing it and fighting off the stammer in his voice.

Yuri could fight his own battles.

"Swings taken in the dark best be watched. You've done so many times and it landed you collared like a dog. But, do as you must."

"Now, now." Even as Yuri wedged himself between them and Misha, their head poked out from behind his side.

"It would be a mistake. I've mixed feelings towards you but you'll settle them right now should you do what you shouldn't." They give her a taste of venom.

[15:19] It's really not unusual that the rat not be told of these things, she'd been put in the dark one too many times and it even lead her to lash out on Nysea more than once.. It's the reason she was collared, the reason she stuck to THESE roads. No further.

Words are truly wasted on the rat as she's instantly on to hook around a proper left hooked haymaker at the kid again, children being easy pickings..- Maybe she was weak after all!

"S'long as y'kissin'em nobles feet, yer good'as dead 'ere."

Yeah, no. She could never trust a word from anyone, unless it came from the uncle, everyone out here was fair game.

Yuri was still a target, he'd still be turned to mush through this. Though a key to note was, Jianyu was fully avoided and spared from any blows, ignored even.

[15:26] It wouldn't matter what he said. This was the kind of person that didn't listen to words, reasons, or even orders. Emerald eyes narrowed upon Misha as he brought forth the oversized blade from behind his back, bringing it down to stop the haymaker as it came.

A clash. A crack. She was strong, definitely. He was unsure if it was his blade that was weaknening behind the blow or merely the sound of her own bones shattering and reforming themselves in order to inflict more damage than necessary. She was unhinged. Wild. Crazy.

The blue shroud that surrounded him grew more violent like the storm she carried upon her fists. That bond, that link with those from the other realm was solidified and pulled upon, forced to enter his body. Ethereal wisps swirled around his person. Mana circuits overloaded. A twinkle of sky blue shone within the emerald of his gaze.

A certain gem within his pocket began glowing with intensity, reacting to the very energies he was pulling from.

"If death is all you understand, then I'll speak your language..!"

He pressed forth, intent on cleaving down the woman.

Even if the chances were slim.

[15:32] Having been making their way through the streets, as they normally did...Hard to notice, and taking in the sights. It seemed they ran into a certain situation going on, one that caused him to stop as they heard 'Noble-lover' said out loud.

Interest was piqued and the man took the time to step off the well-trodden flagged path, instead bringing himself towards one of the nearby trees, in which he laid his back upon.

Nothing was said by the man, but the sound of a flask opening up could definitely be heard from where he was located. It seemed that seeing things going on was becoming a pass time for Boa, alongside drinking during them.

And in this case? By the wafting smell of booze that came off of him, he was definitely drinking during it all.

[15:32] Is it like they're even here? Their words went ignored and there was nothing worst than being outright ignored.

A nerve had been struck.

What use is a person if they don't listen?

She went for Yuri and they didn't stop the blow. If she wanted to target children then she'd get targeted in turn. Whether win or lose, she'd feel this setting venom.

Jianyu took several steps back and drew their bow.

"How can they make any use of someone who can't follow orders? It's no wonder you're collared and reduced to roaming these streets a hundred times over."

It's not for Yuri's defense that their bow rose.

[15:36] People seemed to understand the rodent more and more each day, these two showing prime examples by not going off on long.. Boring speeches the ultimately sent the feral creature into an even further frenzy.

Red spores followed through, bones outwardly exploding and sure enough.. Them same, rotten tentacles flailing out from behind Mish, an all too familiar sight to Yuri there, poor thing.

…

But their partner stepped up, painting an even bigger target on themselves for that matter. She'd surely turn on them once the first child was put down.

"S'two now..-" A squeaked snarl was added on at the end, for good measure.

[15:38] Aries stops his pointless flexing for a moment as he sees Jianyu begin to draw their bow. He immediately decides to take action - they couldn't have been much younger than himself, and for them to gang up on Misha, who was a fairly esteemed individual in his eyes, was not something he could accept.

"Hey!", he growls out loudly, a feline clawed hand extending to stop Jianyu as Aries launches himself forward to stop them from attacking Misha. The area quickly begins to chill as he summons his magic, with Aries determined to give it his all as he always does.

"If you're going to fight, do it one at a time!", he roars, apparently more disturbed by Jianyu's lack of etiquette than anything else.

[15:56] The rat was.. Jittery. Not herself at all.. If it was a little bit tougher of an opponent? Mish may have surely perished.. But her lucky day meant she got to fight a youngster, a child.

All the same to her though, you loved a Nysean noble, you weren't worth keeping around.

So regardless of Yuri's partner aiming her down there, she'd keep up the constant assault on the poor knight. Haymakers and tail thwacks, kicks and bloodied coils.. Just a mix of the usual. All helped in a lovely way by her skin melting clouds of red smog.. Yuri knew what to avoid, he knew exactly what the rat had ready.

She'd take a decent beating herself there too, beams pushing on through her and even the having that heavy blade thwack right down her mid-section.. Only to be recovered once more, every little injury there just cracking back into place or sealing over.. Yuri found themselves growing weaker as it all went on..

To a point where they're just as pale as the rat herself, not so weak to stop fighting.. But enough to understand the fight was Misha's.. A Final, trademark tail whip is directed to their ribcage again, sending them back down the path they came - Perfectly aimed for the North bridge there.

"I ain't 'ave orders t'NOT KILL NYSEA SCUM." Should she have? They'd have been respected. Only from Walter.

Maybe Walter was messing with Yuri... huh.

She'd not give chase.. But she'd certainly not let them pass through this way.

[16:02] He still wasn't good enough to take her down, to make her bleed in a manner that she couldn't use for her own benefit. Scorching beams of energy that pushed down her very core were far from enough to get rid of her, to pull her away from him. She stuck to him like the plague, and he sickened by it.

Even with fury within his gaze it wasn't enough. Even as his energies ate away at the spells she produced he couldn't get over that edge. She was a mountain he couldn't climb.

A push. A shove.

A whip-crack from the rat's tail sent him flying backwards, dust trailing behind his person as he was pulled away from Jianyu, for now. His teeth came to a grit and a blast of energy was sent her way in defiance. Large. Blinding. Menacing. It shook the cobblestone, but ultimately wouldn't even reach her.

He needed to push further.

[16:09] Loyalty meant a few things, one included placing yourself between people, as Yuri did. He took on a threat not fit for him or anyone, really.

But Aries put himself between Jianyu and Misha.

"Kitty cats should eat mice, not play with them." Demeaning speech from a teenager. They cared not for a man who defended someone who had hostility with someone they're with.

Yuri, silly Knight Yuri.

In a flash did they appear at his side. Instead of a snapping the bowstring, they linger, a foul mist coming into the air around the two.

Winds threaten to blow it away, though. The Felinae brought forth winds, cold and frigid but it was nothing in comparison to the mountain and Theria.

How it fuels them, frustrates them.

It came upon their flesh, nipping at their skin but they continue on. Disappearing in blinks around the forest as Yuri fended off the crazed rat.

Her companion, in her stead, will suffer for getting in their way. Jianyu took these blows, the snow and the ice before gaining distance.

Perfection, their achery. Mastered in their youth until each shot met its target.

Does he feel the lethargy in his body from entering that foul mist? "Defy me again and suffer a fate mercy. Consider this a mercy, dear kitty. It's a promise. If I see you again,"

Digits pull at the bowstring, aim taken. "You would best count your blessings." It snaps, sending forth an arrow comprised of Jianyu's own venom, one like no other.

It'd be a day he'll remember, the loss of his mind.

He's struck in the very center of his skull but the shot wasn't fetal. Death is a luxury ill-suited for Aries.

No, he's been bitten by a snake and it's felt quickly, effecting his perception and sense of self, prodding at the thought process, the vision. As of now, he sweats and feels heavy but over time will he be whisked away in what could truly be described as a permanent high.

"And if he's hurt because of you--"

[16:24] Aries action was misguided, without any real commitment. The rushing of a fool at a far greater opponent. His ice magic wasn't potent enough to freeze much besides water, and even if he did go to great lengths to train it, he hadn't given himself enough time to let that training show fruit.

The result was instantly visible - even as the sand swirled around Jianyu's feet in an attempt to bind them in place, the biting cold of Aries' magic appeared to be little more than an annoyance to the shengese teenager.

His untrained fists hit nothing but air as Jianyu gains distance, Aries himself beginning to feel the effects of Jianyu's poisonous mist, his body slowing down and beginning to ache. "Ggghhh...", he grumbles out loud, an odd sense of futility coming from this fight, unlike the adrenaline-high he had against the demon.

As Jianyu spoke of mercy, Aries feels it fully - that he is at this opponent's mercy. Despite the powerlessness of the situation, there is one thing he manages to not feel yet - regret. It had just been another excuse to battle for him.

The arrow strikes him, the venom invading his brain quickly. Increased groans of discomfort come from Aries now, "Guuhhh...", as he lays crumpled on the ground. He claws at the dirt as he squints up at Jianyu, himself feeling disconcerted with what he's seeing - as if everything is off, a slightly warped version of how he was used to everything being.

Then it hits him - self-doubt, his emotions invoking his thoughts as he begins to question the morality of the situation. Whether or not he was right to block Jianyu - a line of thought which, as far as he was concerned, was something that shouldn't have ever mattered to him. Groaning once more, he picks himself up, and begins trudging through the woods, determined to find his way 'home' - where-ever that might happen to be.

[16:27] He collapsed on the ground and they turned away, not watching to see if he'd flee or attempt to strike them once more. In this state, he was practically harmless.

Jianyu sighed lightly. Did Yuri make haste elsewhere? Likely. He couldn't beat Misha and they likely couldn't either. While they would love to draw their bowstring in her direction, they went instead to find Yuri.

[16:30] The rat never really caught wind of that.. If she had it her way? She'd rather the tiger just not get involved.. Nor Jianyu.

So when turning back for the man she'd been chatting with..- She'd spot the child rushing through for their friend . . And . ..

They're free to do that, Mish wasn't going to bother. - Unless they wanted to pass through.. Mish intended to send them right back up to the North bridge.

The rodent soon reached into her jacket pocket, slipping out a small cigarette to ruin her little lungs to. Puff puff.

[16:35] Yuri had been beaten again. Forced back and riddled with worries until they saw Jinayu exiting the canopy. A sigh of relief came from him, only for him to near the other and ask the first and most important question on his mind.

"Are you alright? Are you hurt- I... I'm sorry. You got in this mess because of me."

Because he was a Knight.

[16:39] To the bridge now and cut from where they wanted to go. Access to the eastern half would be difficult with the Rat running about.

Jianyu sighed lightly as they stopped and took a break whilst making glances around for the large sword wielding Knight.

Thankfully he was okay... He seemed okay at least.

"Shut up." They close the distance between the two and wrapped their arms around the Knight for a more light embrace. Their head rests against him. "I don't care about that." Does he know who they are? They sit at a helm of talk shit get hit.

[16:41] Trailing behind the fleeing Yuri and Jianyu, the sound of light drinking alongside heavy footfalls went alongside them. It was fairly obvious that a man was following them, but, it became even more obvious as they passed the bridge and Boa re-appeared to the sights of others.

"...So that's why they don't want the lot of ye' walkin' past that bridge, got Misha on the prowl there, eh'." Boldly the man spoke, taking another sip while looking upon Yuri and Jianyu both.

They had watched the entirety of the situation, though...After they watched arms wrapping around another, the man had a feeling his presence should've been shown earlier.

"...Now I feel as if I'm interruptin' somethin' I shouldn't be."

[16:48] The embrace isn't something that he had expected. The forward momentum caught him off-guard but he quickly returned the hold, squeezing tight. Tighter than a normal embrace demanded. While he was shorter than his counterpart it wasn't a gap large enough for them to be unable to rest right against him. A few moments of realization dawned upon him before he leaned right back in, accepting those... budding, odd feelings.

".. Thanks." He said quietly. His eyes briefly shifted towards Boa after the man realized his presence may not have been needed any longer, even if the quiet assistance had been halfway-expected should either fall. A quiet look that pleaded him to.. leave.

Only for his eyes to fall shut, head leaning into the Shengese and a long, drawn-out breath carrying relief, and a tinge of happiness.

[17:03] It's tighter than they expected but not completely refused. Jianyu sighed once more, letting him stay like this since he seemed to need it.

But, Boa made himself visible- When did he get here? They hardly noticed him but didn't move from this hug.

"What? He just needs a hug or he'd cry and feel bad." Were they wrong? He would feel bad and him feeling bad was annoying and should be avoided at all costs.

"So... don't feel bad or you'll get smacked." Yuri knew they would do it.

Eventually, he's released but he likely wouldn't let go...
