- While it is a temporarily "dodged bullet" that Shell Oil will not drill for oil in the Polar Bear Seas this year. It is extremely clear that Shell cannot be trusted to operate safely in the seas of the Arctic Ocean. It is also clear that the unpredictability of the Arctic environment, from sea ice to storms, makes the Arctic one of the most challenging places to work in the world.
- The writing is on the wall, Petro-chem's long term dodging of the "collateral" costs/liabilities to our biosphere are undeniable, and the back-lash tsunami/avalanche of payback to any party associated with this toxicity- from introducing carcinogenics into the H2O systems, to seeding the food chain with throw-away used products (i.e. the trash-dump Pacific gyre-synthetic plankton) bio-concentration, to adverse acidification and irradiation of the Oceans+landmass (Fukushima/Chernobyl and 3-Mile-Island).
- It never ceases to amaze me...how the combined wattage of privileged education, nutrition and "platform" can fail to manifest itself that catalyst to leveraged wisdom- Exemplified.
- Please work to ensure that the Arctic stays healthy and intact for future generations by opposing future efforts to drill in the Polar Bear Seas.
