  1. Madurai also known as the Meenakshi Amman Temple it's 150 feet tall and it's dedicated to shiva and his wife. There isn't just one tower though there are 12 towers in total and all painted very brightly and repainted and blessed every 12 years. The Temple is named after princess Meenakshi in hindu mythology. The Stucco sculptures represent hingu deities and attendant figures. The madurai temple is very complex and has many outdoor halls and columns that are used for public rituals with a large water tank of ritual baths.

  3. Lion Capital statue was a great piece of artwork that symbolized many things. They used lions because some Buddas are called lions. The four lions are standing on a wheel representing the wheel of law and Ashoka's (A great ruler) law. There were four lions to represent the for quarters of the world. The lions mouths being open also meant something, it was their way of giving the Buddah's message.
