Alexithymiaa: -Brad pulled up in front of the restaurant, grumbling from the very moment he pulled a jacket on over his t-shirt in his sort of faux fancy look that made it seem like he made any effort at all. Parking the car, he climbed out and walked around to Kelsey's side, pulling open her door and offering her a hand. "Let's just get this over with..."-
Covet: Kelsey took Brad's hand and climbed out of the car, in a dress that damn near matched the car along with her heels. She tugged her dress down because it was pretty short, all in the effort to help make Brad's night at least a little better even though Ava was going to be there. "C'mon, just focus on me, won't that make it a little better?" She asked him with a smile.
AlexithymiaaAlexithymiaa : "A little..." He said in a small voice, locking the doors and turning to head into the restaurant with her. "She's on the list of reasons I picked a school across the country." Stepping into the restaurant, he walked up to the hostess to give her his name, turning to Kelsey as she checked their reservation. "Just don't feed into any of her shit."-
Covet: Walking in with him, she wrapped herself on his arm, looking like propper arm candy. " I know this, just think about how little you see her now, compared to when you still lived in New York. It's just one night." She told him giving his arm a squeeze. "Feed into any of what crap?" Kelsey asked.
Alexithymiaa: "HER crap." He stressed, starting to walk again when the hostess began leading them to their table. He saw Ava already seated at the table, hushing his voice so only Kelsey would hear him. "The shit she says knowing she'll get a certain response just so she can undermine me." As they walked up to the table, he stuck a fake smile on his face. "Hey Ava." // Ava looked up from her glass of red wine she was already sipping on, matching Brad's fake smile with her own. "Bradley! I should have expected my dear baby brother to be late." She said with a laugh, getting up and going over to kiss his cheek before leaning into to kiss Kelsey's. "Hi Kelsey. Well don't you look gorgeous?"-
Covet: Kelsey leaned into him, and gave his arm a squeeze then leaned in to give him a kiss, so that she could whisper to him. "I'll give your leg squeeze if needed." She said then pulled back as they walked up on Ava, "It wasn't his fault it was mine, I had rehersal stuff going on for our upcoming shoot, and I needed a shower and to get dressed up a bit so I didn't feel like I was still a hot mess from all of that." She told Ava, sounding wayyyy more generous, even though most of that was complete BS, because Brad was probably totally dragging ass. " Thank you, you're looking good too." She said giving back a polite compliment.

Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, you look good too for someone who's like... what, thirty now?" He asked as he pulled Kelsey's chair out for her before taking his own seat. // "Twenty nine." Ava said a little sharply at him, taking her seat again. "Well, no worries. It's not like I had anywhere else to be anyway." She leaned down to the floor to dig into her purse, pulling out a neatly wrapped box and sliding it across the table. "Happy birthday, Bradley.-

Covet: Kelsey let him have that one, because she did give the first dig after all. She sat there comfortably in her seat as she pulled out a gift for Brad. She smiled at Ava then looked at the gift, "Aww, That's so thoughtful of you." She said looking at Brad for his response, hoping it'd be have way polite, but also knew better given who it was.
Alexithymiaa: -He looked down at the box on the table before looking up at her. "You got me a birthday present?" He asked, a little unsure and in disbelief. He slowly reached out for the box, pulling the lid off to see a knit beanie inside in all dark muted rainbow colors. "You hate the fact that I wear hats." // Ava instinctively moved her hands to smooth out her perfect dark hair, giving a shrug. "Of course I do, but it's not my birthday, it's yours. If you want to look like you're sixteen forever, that's your choice. I'm not going to stop you."-
Covet: "Oh, that's really nice I like the colors of it." Kelsey said, grinning because yay new hat that he could trade out with. She couldn't help but smirk at his comment about being sixteen forever either because that's soooo close to the truth it's hilarious.
Alexithymiaa: "I don't look sixteen." He said defensively, watching as the waiter came over. "I'll have a beer and..." He said, glancing at Kelsey as he started to put the hat back in the box and the box back together. // "Ehhh...." Ava started, folding her hands together neatly in front of her as she patiently waited for them to order their drinks. "And I'll have another merlot, thank you."-
CovetCovet : "I'll take a manhattan, and then just water. " Kelsey said, then gave Brad's hand a squeeze "Hey it's not a bad thing, necessarily. Just think if you look sixteen still, you'll be looking young for a very long time, hun." Kelsey said giving him a wink.
Alexithymiaa: "Not when I'm only twenty three...." He said as the waiter left, glancing at his phone to check the time. He was counting down the minutes until Evan was going to call and interrupt their dinner. "So... you're out here why? Business?" // Ava nodded, lifting her chin. "We had a conference in San Francisco, and then a meeting in Seattle yesterday. Work is so good to me, letting me take a day to come see my baby brother on his birthday." She said sweetly, putting a little too much emphasis on the word 'baby'.-
Covet: "Why it's not like you're actually carded that much anymore." Kelsey said to him, because the sixteen thing wasn't all that true. He looked like a young adult. Kelsey looked over at Ava, " Oh, wow yeah that is nice. It's a good thing you caught us today though, because we're taking off tomorrow to spend a weekend in LA to properly celebrate his birthday properly." She said trying to change the subject a little bit so he wouldn't focus on her baiting.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, nice of work to get you out here." He said, trying to brush it off. He took his beer when the waiter returned with their drinks, taking a long sip. "Yeah, everyones going to be there. It's going to be an epic party of everyone whos anyone in music right now." // Ava raised her brows, sliding her fingers arond heer wine glass. "Oh really? I didnt realize you knew so many industry professionals at this point."-
Covet: "Are you kidding me? He just finished working with Annalise Roth, and He'll be working with Nikki Minaj here soon too. That's just the performers, he's going to be working with some amazing producers and such for my video, that's he's met through his work so far. Bradley's definitely been working hard to make a name for himself, that's for sure." Kelsey said giving him a smile of pure admiration, because she was proud of how far he'd come.
Alexithymiaa: "Yep and probably The Weeknd on the horizon too. It's growing fast." He said with a smug grin, watching his sister's face because he knew it would get to her if she wasnt the more successful one. "And I got to do it pursing art. Funny, right?" // Ava pursed her lips, irritated that her music and painting had taken a backseat to her career because she assumed that's where her future was. In business. "Well that's nice for you. I'm glad you've managed to make yourself the exception and not the rule."-
Covet: "Well, really the both us us are the exception here. Makes me wonder how rare it actually is? Or if people just aren't willing to put for the effort to make it happen. Though for my family, music is more or less our thing, so one of us becoming successful had to happen eventually. Luckily we've got 2. And with Bradley directing our videos, We're practically built for success." She said with her own little humble brag, on Bradley's behalf. "I attribute my biggest successes to Bradley. I wouldn't be where I am without his support." She added squeezing his hand.

Alexithymiaa: "Exactly. Plenty of success for us, right Kels?" He said, beaming before looking back over at Ava. "We support each other. It's a team effort to get to where we are together." // Ava had to resist the urge to yawn, because at this point she knew exactly what they were doing. "I know you're referring to your cousin, but I don't even know the name of that band so I really don't think it counts. However, I'm happy you both were able to make such a name for yourselves."-
Covet: "Well, I'm not exactly surprised that you don't know her, You didn't even know that your brother was working with some big name professionals. I couldn't possibly expect you to know about my cousin yet, but they're gaining a good following here on the west coast. Keep your ears open for Krucial Kittens. They're an awesome group." Kelsey said, unaffected by her change of mood. Where her words were intentional, they were also true, and she would have said them regardless of Ava's response. " Thank you, it's greatly appreciated, Ava."

Alexithymiaa: -Brad hissed through his teeth, unable to not react to the icy burn Kelsey just delivered in her sweet little tone. "It's okay if you don't follow what the young people are listening to nowadays. I know it's difficult when so much nightlife happens after bedtime." Brad was far less subtle. He didnt know how to play this game which is why Ava always won with their parents. // "I usually only pay attention to things that matter." Ava said with a smile, finishing off her wine before staring daggers at Brad. "Excuse you, you don't have to be rude."-
Covet: Kelsey smirked, because where she gave him shit for being young, being young was still better than being old. " What is its to live in this world, where the things that matter are completely subjective to the individual." She said with a smile, before taking a sip of her water. "It's just all playful banter, nobody is being intentionally rude." She said giving Brad a bit of a nudge with her foot under the table, so he'd reel it back and not give Ava any more of a win then she thought she had.
Alexithymiaa: "I mean... I don't really take it back..." He started, feeling his phone vibrate in his pocket, right on time. He pulled it out to see Evan's name, holding a finger up like it looked important. "This is my assistant. I have to take this. He knows I was out tonight and he wouldn't call unless it was important." He asked the call, putting his phone to his ear. "Oh wow, really?" // Evan could very faintly be heard through the phone if you were close enough, speaking in monotone. "Do I even need to say anything, or are you going to have a conversation with yourself?" // "I think I know my baby brother by now." Ava started, pausing when Brad answered his phone.-
Covet: "People change, I mean, look at Bradley. He used to be just a lazy boy who would refuse to roll out of bed at a decent time for class. Now he's a man with a carreer, furthering his education, being a great Dad, and being successful at all of it. He doesn't have a reason to be intentionally rude anymore." Kelsey said, just as politely and pleasantly as she had been waiting to hear what the "news" was from Evan.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, absolutely. We can be over there right now. Thank you so much for calling to let us know about it before things got out of hand." He said dramatically into the phone before hanging up. "There's a problem at the studio with the album. Mr. Roth needs us down there right away." Brad said, beginning to stand and honestly a little too eager to escape. "Sorry to cut this short Ava, but work calls and if we dont get down there soon, it could be a really catastrophe." // "He's still that boy." Ava said blandly, unamused with Kelsey's attempt to defend Brad. When he got off the phone, she frowned. "Oh. Well... I guess if you have to go... work is important, afterall."-
Covet: "Sorry Ava, We're just in a rush to get the album and the video ready to go intime for VMA considerations. And where we're going to be in LA all weekend, we need to make sure everything is golden here before we leave. Thank you for understanding." She said adding in another little dig about their success. She stood up and pulled her dress down again, before making her way towards the door.

Alexithymiaa: -Brad walked around to Ava's side of the table so he could lean down and give her a half hug, depositing some cash on the table. "That should cover the drinks. Have a goodnight." He said, grabbing his birthday box and following Kelsey. "Evan was so unamused." // Ava smiled politely even though she was also relieved to be off the hook for the rest of the evening, going back to finishing her drink.-
Covet: "We'll make sure he's compensated well for his help." Kelsey said as she walked out with him, and made her way to the door. "I think we did well in there tonight, I'm pretty sure you might have just walked out with your first win, Bradley." She told him, grinning. When they got to the car and they climbed in, Kelsey reached into the back seat, from the bag she'd snuck back there early on. It was a small cake box with a personalized cake just for him. "Happy Birthday babe. You'll get the rest of your gifts this weekend."
Alexithymiaa: -Making his way to his car with her, he climbed behind the wheel, twisting to look at the cake she was pulling out. "What is this? I thought we werent celebrating at all until tomorrow?" He asked her even though he was grinning at the cake from ear to ear and clearly appreciated the cake. It's cake.-
Covet: "It's just a cake, you can't not have cake on your birthday, silly. I know it's small, but... It's made with cannabutter... Extra special just for you. I couldn't let your sister take all your Birthday glory." Kelsey told him. "You want to go to the park and enjoy this with me in the backseat and you can look for your other present?" She asked him with a smirk, because if tonight had gone truely shitty, she'd stashed a new set of lingerie in the car as well to make his night at least end on a high note. [pun TOTALLY intended]

Alexithymiaa: "You're the best. The bestest best." He said, leaning over to kiss her lips. "Yes. I do. I do very very much." He said, putting the car into reverse and basically speeding out of the parking lot because birthday boy has SHIT to do.-
