I was greeted by Megumin and Darkness immediately after I opened the door, from the way they sat on the carpet, it seemed like they’ve been waiting for quite a long time.

“Are you alright? I thought you were just going to level up a few times in the dungeon, but I didn’t know you would be gone for more than a whole day. I was really worried you know?”

“That’s right! I told you before to let me be your meat shield… and… … What’s this?”

In front of me, were Megumin who greeted me warmly, and Darkness whose yelled in a low voice just now

Darkness must’ve been quite surprised when she saw the armor I was carrying.

“A present. I brought it because it’s a strong set of crusader armor.”

“Ah, is it an exclusive equipment? Class-exclusive items are usually amazing equipment. Kazuma did you not find any for yourself?

“Haha, What can adventurers possibly wear, I don’t think I’ve ever seen stuff exclusive for me”

Darkness received the armor with shaking hands while I was talking with Megumin

She carefully lifted the armor and hugged it with tears forming in her eyes.

I couldn’t find any equipment for myself, and then I bring one home just to give it away. I didn’t know how to describe this feeling.

“This is a black set of armor. It kind of suits your name Darkness”

“That’s right. And from the way its shaped, I get the feeling that you’ll look like a demon king general once you put it on”

“hmm… Even though I never imagined that a crusader would be wearing black armor, but… never mind. This armor is really beautiful. I can’t wait to see myself inside”

Darkness happily carried the armor to the middle of the living room and started polishing it

She looked really happy with her present.

Just then, Megumin tugged on my sleeves.

“Kazuma Kazuma, where’s my present?”

After eating a few bites, I went to take a bath.

Afterwards, I realized that I didn’t see Darkness around

Maybe she really liked the armor and was posing with it in her room.

On my way back, I saw the rare sight of Megumin in a dark dress instead of her crimson demon robe. She was lying down on the sofa as if waiting for me.

“Megumin, I’m heading to bed. We’re leaving early tomorrow so you should sleep early too okay?”

Our plan is to take the earliest carriage out of town.
