  1. *'''Name:''' [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aeneas Aeneas the True]]
  2. *'''Summoning Age:''' Late thirties
  3. *'''Sex:''' Male
  4. *'''Class:''' Saber
  5. *'''Master:''' To Be Determined; possibly my own
  6. *'''Appearance:''' WHEN I FIND A GOOD PICTURE I SHALL LINK
  7. *'''Personality Blurb:''' The bridge between Greek and Roman mythology, Aeneas is, by necessity, the embodiment of ''pietas'' - the Roman virtue of putting your family, people, and nation before yourself. He prefers negotiation to fighting, and is kind, responsible and levelheaded - he possesses all the qualities needed for a great leader. However, while he is well-aware of the horrors of war, having survived the horrific burning of Troy after ten years of relentless siege, he knows that in some cases battle is inevitable and must be undertaken for the greater good. His belief in the inescapablity of Destiny has left him with several unhealed scars - in particular the loss of his first wife Creusa and lover Dido. He refuses to blame the gods - one of his epithets, and fittingly so, is Pious Aeneas. He is loyal in the extreme to the gods, his family, and his men. He is not the greatest warrior, and he knows it. He had to be rescued by his mother Venus on many occasions when fighting against the Heroes of Greece, and even later in Latium against lesser foes. However, he never faltered in following his Destiny, which was to lead the Trojans to Italy and found what would become the great Roman Empire. Rome has faded away now, but the virtues that made her great still remain. He is a man who went from being a Homeric hero, impulsive and full of temper and arrogance, to a Roman hero, calm, devoted and wise. For as long as he remains a Heroic Spirit, Aeneas will strive to be the embodiment of those virtues.
  8. *'''Parameters'''
  9. **'''Strength:''' A
  10. **'''Endurance:''' B
  11. **'''Agility:''' B
  12. **'''Magical Energy:''' D
  13. **'''Luck:''' B
  14. *'''Class Skill(s):'''
  15. **''Magic Resistance:'' A
  16. ***As one who never combated great sorceries like his Greek contemporaries, Aeneas possesses sub-par Magic Resistance for a Saber Class Servant. However, he still hails from the last days of the Age of Gods and is thus incredibly resistant to Magic. He is practically untouchable to all but the most powerful of modern Magecraft, and even a Caster will find it hard to affect him.
  17. **''Riding:'' B
  18. ***Not famed for his skill with mounts, Aeneas is nevertheless capable of handling most vehicles and animals with above-average skill by virtue of being of the Saber Class. This does not apply to Phantasm Races.
  19. *'''Personal Skill(s):'''
  20. **''Roman Hero:'' NA
  21. ***All of the skills below save Divinity and Beloved of Olympus depend on a delicate balance - namely, that of Aeneas' own emotions. As long as he is levelheaded and minded towards justice, his ''[[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pietas pietas]]'' will be maintained along with his skills. However, as soon as he gives in to ''furor'' or passion and allows his emotions to master him in any way, these skills will be sealed away completely.
  22. **''Bravery:'' A
  23. ***Aeneas never faltered in combat, even when facing opponents far beyond his level like Achilles and Diomedes. He is thus immune to all forms of mental interference and confusion in combat - the fiercer the fight and the lower the odds of victory, the more he will press on to defend those important to him. Has the bonus effect of increasing his Strength when in pitched combat.
  24. **''Charisma:'' B
  25. ***The son of Divine Venus and a man handsome enough to attract her, Aeneas possesses both the inspiring leadership necessary to lead his people and the physical charm to match his goddess-born status.
  26. **''Divinity:'' A
  27. ***Not only was Aeneas a demigod in life, he was also incredibly pious towards all the gods, boosting his Divinity.
  28. **''Guardian Knight:'' B
  29. ***Aeneas is more effective in combat when protecting others - this gives him ''Battle Continuation'' Rank D and ''Eye of the Mind (True)'' Rank C whenever someone he has sworn to protect is in immediate danger.
  30. **''Beloved of Olympus:'' A
  31. ***Aeneas' piety is such that none of the Gods of Olympus could ignore it - his mother warded off many direct blows in his lifetime, and even Neptune, enemy of the Trojans, stepped in to save him from a sure death at Achilles' hand. All skills, abilities and Noble Phantasms directly invoking Greco-Roman divinities are weakened by one Rank in his presence; those Rank C or below are nullified completely.
  32.
  33. *'''Noble Phantasm(s):'''
  34. **'''Armatura Aurea,''' ''Divine-Forged Arms of Vulcan:'' C (Anti-Unit)
  35. ***Aeneas' golden arms; consisting of helmet, breastplate, greaves, spear and sword. All function as Rank C Noble Phantasms, meaning that they are extremely durable - on par with Gilgamesh's armor. They are reconceptualisations of Achilles' own arms - however, given that Aeneas' were forged by the same god and given to him less than twenty years after Achilles received his own, the diminishment is less noticeable. He is quite good with the spear, as he can be summoned as Lancer. Unlike other Sabers, his sword is not his main Noble Phantasm. It is simply a relatively mundane short sword, though he is extremely effective with it in combat.
  36. ** '''Roma Aeterna Protector,''' ''Divine-Forged Shield of Roman Destiny:'' A++ (Anti-Army)
  37. ***The Shield that All the Spears of Latium Could Not Pierce. The realization, promise and incarnation of Aeneas' Destiny, worn on his left arm. The most significant of the arms given to him by Vulcan, this golden shield is embossed with the entirety of Roman history, from Aeneas' son Ascanius to the ascension of Augustus Caesar and the Roman Emperors. A Reconceptualisation of Achilles' Shield, it nonetheless comes to represent much more and thus excels it completely. A Conceptual Weapon of Conceptual Weapons, it embodies all the virtues that made the mightiest of the ancient Empires - all of the blood, sweat and tears placed into her by countless people, as well as the justice, prosperity and peace that came as a result of such selfless sacrifice. When activated with its true name, the shield flares up and becomes a complete 360-degree Bounded Field in the form of an eagle. It is incredibly hard to break through, requiring many times the energy put into it. If Rho Aias has the strength of seven fortress walls, then Roma Aeterna Protector has the strength of seven Rho Aiases. The space covered by this shield can vary from a single person to about ten - however, the shield weakens in proportion to the area it covers. In addition, all attacks Rank D and below are completely nullified by its light. As an embodiment of Rome, the shield is especially effective at guarding against the attacks of those who were once enemies of Rome. There are, however, several extremely significant limitations to this Noble Phantasm. Firstly, it must be used to protect. Aeneas can only use it without furor, and he is honor-bound to show mercy to the utmost possible degree after using it, holding to the ideal Roman virtues. If he does not, he risks losing its use. Secondly, it is much weaker against the attacks stemming from entities who had a significant victory against Rome, although this will depend on the degree of defeat, the rank of the attack and the extent of Rome's recovery afterwards. Thirdly, the strength of the shield relies on Aeneas' own willpower. Breaking his concentration is a much easier way of dispelling the shield, and damage to the shield means damage to him. Fourthly, due to Aeneas' below-average Magical Energy rank, it can only be kept up for a minute at full power, and that will leave him completely drained from full magical capacity. Lowering the power of the Noble Phantasm will allow him to maintain it for slightly longer, though even activating it in short bursts will require significant effort on his part. Fifthly, he cannot move while under the shield, leaving him much more vulnerable to attacks after the shield is dispelled.

  40. Do tell me if anything needs changing. I hope I limited the Protector enough.
