Mikoto Himiko aka Rehu'ardjersen, Death’s Waiting Hand
Concept: Grand death-priest stuck in the body of a moe teenage girl

Backstory: In the shadows of the pillars of mighty Irem, the man who would become known as Rehu'ardjersen was known for his striking beauty, his keen intelligence and his disdain for worldly concerns. Despite easily being able to get any woman he could want, his only passion was for serving the Judges and the Shan’iatu who spoke for them. After being struck down in his prime by a ravaging illness, he was chosen for his continued faith and devotion to serve as one of the Nameless Empire’s eternal champions

Rehu'ardjersen’s eventual journey to Japan was long and arduous (and better summarized in the 27 page backstory I’ll be linking later) and his story there was no less exciting - among his many exploits he was probably best known for a stint as being advisor to an emperor! Sadly, Fate has not always smiled on Death’s Waiting Hand, and his very existence was threatened when an atom bomb hit Nagasaki and destroyed everything - his cult, his body, even his hidden underground tomb - in one fell swoop. His story in Japan might have ended there had various writings not ended up in the hands of one Shinsaku Uesugi.

Always teased for his lack of good looks and his obession with games, Uesugi had little going for him besides decent grades and being captain of the chess team. After a terrible bout of bullying, he decided to show everyone that he could get a girlfriend, and found his salvation in a bunch of clay tablets his uncle had given him along with the few translations in his notebooks. Upon getting the corpse of a teenage girl (detailed in the 33 page short story to be linked later) he and the rest of his colleagues in the chess team called forth the spirit of Rehu'ardjersen to inhabit that body; it was only a week later that “Mikoto Himiko” “transferred in” from “another school”.

“Himiko” has few friends in her class, but in order to get away from Uesugi at times she’s started hanging around the karate club.
