If you will; no I won't

I always think it's silly when people use the phrase, "if you will" when talking about completely inconsequential things. There's just no point in saying "if you will" because absolutely everyone will. It'd just be rude otherwise.

"Well my car broke down so I'll be over to pick you up in my old truck; my pickup truck, if you will. So I-"

"Hold up! The hell I will! I'm difficult! Fuck you, man!"
