  11. *(WHAT'S THE BET IT WON'T SHOW YOU PAST/HISTORIC VIEWINGS!)*
  12.
  13.
  14.
  15. If it is REAL then you would expect to have the ability to see where it was "in the past".
  16.
  17.
  18.
  19. Why? So that anyone can answer the question: *"Did I see a UFO last night or was it the 'ISS'?"*
  20.
  21.
  22.
  23. But if we cannot see HISTORIC sightings then that adds to the idea of it being a scam.
  24.
  25.
  26.
  27. For example - people might be out one night and see a bright light move across the sky. So they go home later to check if it was the "ISS" but they can't! *So they just assume it was.*
  28.
  29.
  30.
  31. __
  32.
  33.
  34.
  35. The guy at your astronomy club may have known very well you cannot check historic times and so he can say with impunity that it was the "ISS" because you have NO WAY OF CHECKING (and besides in a few hours it would be doing another alleged loop - so it could have been!).
  36.
  37.
  38.
  39. _Let me know if you can look it up!_
  40.
  41.
  42.
  43. __
  44.
  45.
  46.
  47. One POSSIBLE solution is to do some Google Searching and look for "sightings" at your date and time.
  48.
  49.
  50.
  51. While it is highly unlikely you MIGHT find someone Tweeted about it. "Just saw the 'ISS' at 9pm!" etc. with 2012 etc.
  52.
  53.
  54.

  56.
  57.
  58.
  59. If you can do HISTORIC searching then I would say it's REAL.
  60.
  61.
  62.
  63. If you can only do FUTURE searching then I would say it's a SCAM.
  64.
  65.
  66.
  67. __
  68.
  69.
  70.
  71. There remains one possibility but it likely is BS (as in it won't yield an OFFICIAL location of the alleged "ISS" but it is something to try)
  72.
  73.
  74.
  75. Earlier +cabadejo linked us to a video which showed a guy changing his computer's date and time and it moved the alleged "ISS".
  76.
  77.
  78.
  79.
  80. (I.e., it showed where the "ISS" would have been during that time - but then again - actually being able to SEE the "ISS" is different so as I say - this is probably worthless.)
  81.
  82.
  83.
  84.
  85. You could go to the same website and set your computer to the date and time of your astronomy club to see where the alleged "ISS" was. (Of course - as I say - this may be worthless but it is something to try for fun.)

  97. (You only need to watch a little of the video to find out what website he used.)
