- Incensed mists roll in as Saran enters from the up, casting a haunting fog
- nearby.
- You whisper in Saran's ear and recount the memories of lives past, each as
- fleeting and vital as a breath. As you impart the wisdom of the turning cycles,
- spectral silver vines twine your twin forms. New life springs forth in the form
- of ebon and ivory flowers that birth a hale fragrance in the air as they fade
- away.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says to Saran, "Um.... I did a thing I'm not entirely
- comfortable with... Can I trust your wisdom again?"
- Saran tilts his head curiously at Huskii.
- A wry smile spreads across your face.
- The Grey Waykeeper, Saran Strongleaf, Ays Civalior Lyreth says, "Aye, of
- course."
- Your soft voice reaches out to The Grey Waykeeper, Saran Strongleaf, Ays
- Civalior Lyreth, tickling their ear, "Dear Huskii turns to thinking in terms of
- gain and loss when he worries."
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "I went to the glade of the healing Lagoon,
- seeking wisdom. And while I knew She could make no promises, but I did hear that
- others could help if problems happened in Her healing."
- Huskii ponders the situation.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "So, I'm hoping we could make a new friend in the
- Seas, and that the Fae's empowerment could help us."
- Your soft voice reaches out to The Grey Waykeeper, Saran Strongleaf, Ays
- Civalior Lyreth, tickling their ear, "That is, the Healing Mounds where the Lady
- of the Lagoons is cocooned. Huskii was worried about consequences to the Basin."
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says to Saran, "Do you think I made a mistake?"
- Xiran tilts her head.
- Saran ponders the situation.
- You ask, "Fae's empowerment?"
- Huskii nods their head emphatically.
- Blinking, you say, "The wisps?"
- Huskii nods their head at you.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "The wisps are fae, right?"
- You say, "Yes. They aid primarily with Her Healing Mound."
- Huskii tilts their head and listens intently to Saran.
- The Grey Waykeeper, Saran Strongleaf, Ays Civalior Lyreth says, "The Lady of the
- Lagoons was an Awakener, her experiences are what has shaped her. If one can
- ease her mind while she rests at the healing mound, perhaps, aye, there is hope
- that she might be restored in body, mind, and spirit."
- The Grey Waykeeper, Saran Strongleaf, Ays Civalior Lyreth says, "And, perhaps,
- if such healing reminds her of the true beauty and harmony of nature. She may be
- less willing to harm it in future, though I do worry that a Celestian elder
- leads the efforts."
- Huskii nods their head emphatically.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "Even if it doesn't... I'm hoping a show of faith
- will bring help to heal some of Her damage."
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "A lot of those present at the fight weren't
- friends, but it sounds like the Empyreal is willing to take some of the
- responsibility."
- You wince in pain.
- You say, "I don't think we mortals should attempt to extract promises from an
- Elder."
- Huskii nods their head emphatically.
- Saran tilts his head curiously.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "I'm sure Her alone can't fix all the problems,
- but it's good to have friends to help."
- Rubbing her cheek with an open palm, you say, "Mm. To consider an Elder a
- friend..."
- Xiran she drops her hand without saying further.
- The Grey Waykeeper, Saran Strongleaf, Ays Civalior Lyreth says, "My caution
- would be more from implication, we work too closely and potentially assist those
- of Celest, we may provide a weapon for them against the Taint."
- Miakoda, Maiden of the Moonhart tilts her head up towards the skies.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "Oh... Is that wrong? Some of them have helped us
- in the past!"
- Saran ponders the situation.
- The Grey Waykeeper, Saran Strongleaf, Ays Civalior Lyreth says, "Regarding the
- Elders or the Light?"
- Huskii ponders the situation.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "I meant the Elders, but both might apply?"
- Lightning flickers across the treetops in scattered flashes, chased by rolling
- thunder that shakes every branch and bough.
- Xiran chews her lip. She opens her mouth, then closes it again, instead dipping
- her head to Saran, the Grey Waykeeper.
- The Grey Waykeeper, Saran Strongleaf, Ays Civalior Lyreth says, "At this time,
- despite the seeming calmness of such. We are at war with the Light, they work
- with the Wyrd, seek to contest us when we claim villages and aetherbubbles."
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says to Saran, "I hope I didn't make a mistake. I know
- it's hard. I don't want to hurt the Seren, but it's a hard problem."
- Adasser, Wolverine's Mask scratches the back of his head and comments, "I would
- say that the Divine are rather beyond friendship with mortals like us." He
- smiles sheepishly. "They might be friends with One Another. But, I would not
- dare presume to say I am a friend of an Elder, myself."
- A shaft of moonlight shines down from the heavens and bathes the Ellindel
- Arboretum in soft light.
- Huskii ponders the situation.
- The Grey Waykeeper, Saran Strongleaf, Ays Civalior Lyreth says, "We must be
- cautious and navigate the uncertainty of these times."
- You curtsey gracefully before Adasser, Wolverine's Mask.
- Huskii nods their head emphatically.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "Maybe my words were bad."
- Huskii ponders the situation.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says to Saran, "I hope we can find allies in the light
- again. And we can push this new taint and abomination back."
- Saran ponders the situation.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says to Saran, "I will admit to healing the Lagoon. If
- it is wrong, let me know, but if it is, let me make amends."
- The Grey Waykeeper, Saran Strongleaf, Ays Civalior Lyreth says, "Aye perhaps, in
- the end the taint and the light are two sides of the same coin. What is
- important is that we ensure that they remain at war with each other for such
- consumes their focus that might otherwise be turned upon Nature."
- Xiran nods at Saran's words.
- With a smile, Miakoda, Maiden of the Moonhart says, "The Taint and the Light
- allied together once, to bind and to destroy fae. Just as many of the forests
- died to the Light as did to the Taint. Neither are for the healing of the
- lands."
- Xiran flinches.
- Saran nods his head at Miakoda, Maiden of the Moonhart, showing his acceptance.
- Miakoda, Maiden of the Moonhart flashes Saran a joyous smile.
- You think to yourself: Huddled in the Queen Maeve's former court, pleading with
- the Dame to spare her own people in Faethorn.
- Huskii nods their head at Miakoda, Maiden of the Moonhart.
- Miakoda, Maiden of the Moonhart flashes Huskii a joyous smile.
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says to Miakoda, Maiden of the Moonhart, "The fae of
- the Wisp seem to be willing to offer their help to the healing."
- Huskii of the Misty Vale says, "I wish this was an easier problem."
- Huskii slumps down dejectedly.
- Your soft voice reaches out to Huskii of the Misty Vale, tickling their ear, "As
- Adasser put it, relationship between mortal and Elder is not something I would
- describe mundanely as friendship, even with Those who are friendly. They have
- seen and experienced far more than we will ever know, and Their decisions are
- drawn from that. The Lady Empyreal is among the earliest to emerge from Their
- creche, so."
- You say, "A problem that is no one person's burden, Huskii. Stand tall. You are
- with the Seren."
- The Grey Waykeeper, Saran Strongleaf, Ays Civalior Lyreth says to Huskii, "As
- the Blank Stone teaches us, the future is unwritten and unknowable. Aiding the
- Elders has helped the forest in the past, so it may do so again in the future,
- we can only do our best, and it certainly carries weight that you consider your
- path so heavily."
- Saran smiles softly.
