  1. >You get back home from work one day
  2. >As soon as you enter the front door you're immediately greeted by your wife Natsuki
  3. >Today she seems really ecstatic for some reason
  4. >She takes you by the hand and guides you to the bathroom
  5. >There she shows you a used pregnancy test
  6. >It's positive
  7. >You're not sure how to react to this
  8. >In hindsight you suspected it from her getting morning sickness the past few days
  9. >But now you know for sure
  10. >You both quickly embrace each other, knowing that in the future you will have an actual family
  11. >However, Natsuki's mood quickly changes from happiness to worry
  12. >She's not sure how to set everything up, like making a nursery for the baby, or where to send them to school eventually, or how to start a college fund for them
  13. >Or how she'll even deliver it considering her small size
  14. >Before she could think of anything worse, you embrace her again
  15. >You assure her that no matter what you'll both make it work, but only by taking it one step at a time
  16. >That first step being taking her to her doctor to make sure everything is alright
  17.
  18. >Over the resulting months the changes to Natsuki's body become noticeable
  19. >Besides her developing a bump, her chest has also increased in size in order for her to better feed the baby
  20. >Even then though it's still rather small
  21. >Besides that, Natsuki's also been experiencing weird mood swings
  22. >One second she'll be doting on you about how much she loves you, then next she'll get really pouty towards any response you make
  23. >Now that you think about it, you're not sure whether this is actually different from daily life beforehand
  24. >She still teases you a lot though, but the degree it goes to often also depends on the mood she's in
  25. >Another weird symptom she's been experiencing is that for awhile she's stopped liking sweet baked goods as much, and instead have been craving a bunch of different types of fruits as well as salty foods
  26.
  27. >Whenever you get home from work Natsuki is usually a whirlwind of excitement
  28. >She's constantly coming up with ideas on how to decorate the baby's nursery, how to baby-proof the rest of the house, and what food brands or types she'd give them
  29. >Sometimes though, you'll come home to see her very sad, almost sobbing even
  30. >During these times she's constantly second guessing herself, wondering if what she's doing is enough, whether she'll be a good mother
  31. >Whether she'll even be able to deliver the baby, or whether the baby will be healthy or not
  32. >During these times you try to assure her that you'll always be there to help her through it, not matter how difficult it is
  33. >This usually helps her feel better again, at least until her mood passes again
  34. >During the night you'll both cuddle together, trying to coax the baby into moving so you can feel it
  35. >Whenever it does Natsuki quietly squeals at the feeling
  36. >You both also discuss what you'd want to name the baby
  37. >While drifting off to sleep you imagine raising your child with your wife Natsuki
  38.
  39. >While entering her third trimester you began to notice something's a little off about Natsuki
  40. >While she always at least tries to give off the aura of happiness, you can tell she's nervous about something
  41. >Eventually you decide to talk to her and ask her if she's worrying about anything
  42. >She tries to hold her composure, but quickly she breaks down in your arms
  43. >She says she's afraid about the baby, she's worried that she'll have complications during birth due to her small size
  44. >She's afraid that during it she might die, or worse the baby...
  45. >From the way she's acting you know you have to do something more than just comfort her
  46. >You decide to take Natsuki to the doctor to get a checkup and hopefully alleviate at least some of her fears
  47. >After examining her the doctor says that the way she's progressing there shouldn't be any complications during birth
  48. >The doctor also says that if complications do arise for whatever reason they could always perform a c-section
  49. >On the way home you try to assure Natsuki that the doctors will make sure everything will go by fine
  50. >While she does sound better, you can still sense a bit of fear in her when she talks about this
  51.
  52. >As Natsuki's due date approaches you can tell the pregnancy is taking a toll on her
  53. >Due to her now larger midsection clashing with her still relatively small stature she has an awkward time getting around places
  54. >As well she seems a lot more fatigued lately due to carrying the extra weight
  55. >Nowadays when able she likes to just lounge around watching TV or reading
  56. >Preferably with you though
  57. >While she's feels better about the overall birth's outcome, she's still nervous about actually going through it and the pain it'd entail
  58. >You continue to assure her that no matter what happens she'll get through this
  59. >If she could survive what her father put her through growing up, then she can survive this too
  60. >And in the end she'll be rewarded by having her baby in her arms
  61.
  62. >A couple days after the due date you wake up to Natsuki frantically shaking you in the middle of the night
  63. >While still half-asleep all you can make out is Natsuki looks incredibly nervous and you feel her side of the bed is wet
  64. >You immediately realize what this means
  65. >You hurriedly help Natsuki into the car and you both drive off to the hospital
  66. >On the way there her labor pains begin to worsen and she groans in pain
  67. >Thankfully since it's the middle of the night there's barely any traffic on the road, so you get to the hospital rather quickly
  68. >When you finally get to the hospital the nurses rush her to the maternity ward
  69. >While the nurses are preparing her you hold onto Natsuki's hand
  70. >You tell her that everything will be okay
  71. >And for once, you can see in her eyes that she completely believes you
  72.
  73. >5 long, painful hours later the baby is finally born, and it's a girl!
  74. >Unlike what either you or Natsuki expected, the overall process went by rather quickly with no complications
  75. >However, Natsuki did start screaming at you for a bit due to the pain she was in
  76. >Natsuki's mood quickly changed though from pained anger to joyous relief when she heard her baby start to cry for the first time
  77. >After the doctors had finished examining the baby and Natsuki they gave the baby back to her
  78. >She's refused to let her go ever since
  79. >You ask her if you could hold her for a bit
  80. >"Alright Anon, but only because you helped make her..."
  81. >While holding her you notice that she has the same eye color as Natsuki
  82. >Eventually all three of you leave to go back home
  83. >For a few weeks Natsuki is incredibly weak over the whole experience
  84. >However she's just glad that her daughter is alive and healthy
  85. >She's just happy that now you all are a proper family
  86.
  87. (Author's note: Originally this was planned to be just some really elaborate shitpost I was going to post in the thread to everyone's amusement/hateful scorn. I even ended up making a quick photoshop here: https://imgur.com/a/hISxX. However, after seeing I got banned for 3 days for posting a movie clip, I decided I would use the forcibly given time to go over the story and try to make it better/more amusing. As I did it though the drive to make this a shitpost eventually just faded and I just went "fuck it, I'll just go all the way with this one" and just made it into a wholesale fic. I'm still rather new to writing so sorry if this isn't that great or that I've still been sticking to the 4chan greentext format, I just find it easier to write this way.)
