- After the last decade, putting myself into a more sedate position as a student seemed far better-advised. Izzet was a very good fit for me, even if House Dimir wanted to gain my allegiance. I really wish I'd known that the price of turning Dimir down was having their assassins come for me, but to be fair, I would have turned them down either way. Izzet was just so much more interesting, and my work with artifacts synergized so much better with them.
- Of course, dealing with others in conflict was a bit of a pain. Constant counterspells and interruptions, derailing things as quickly as I built them up. Really wasn't a fan of that, and doubly so when the occasional assassin came with the intent of taking advantage of that fact.
- Honestly, more than anything, it was a tedious decade, but I've had far worse. My primary project over the course of this decade was to figure out the Elderspell so that I could figure out exactly how the damned thing work so I could replicate it, but at the end of the decade I was barely closer to figuring it out than I was when I started.
- Frustrating. But the alternative would have been stealing the scroll from Bolas, and like fun am I going to try THAT. I'm not that suicidal.
