  1. [18:41] Gaelan Fenrir asks, "T-this do?"
  2. [18:41] Siegfried Fenrir says, "Here is good enough."
  3. [18:48] The kid took his two cousins to the area he commonly trained when the other spots in town were taken. As he walked there he was wondering if Sieg could really fight. Since he hadn't watched him fight at all. Well he has seen him fight... a tad when they were slaughtering the Lupin. That doesn't count though!
  4.
  5. Once they got to the chosen destination, he draws his staff and points it at Sieg.
  6.
  7. A calming cold breeze of air started to cloud around Gaelan. His form seemed to be shrouded in the mist. Another body of mist split from where the kid stood. He is ready for combat now!
  8.
  9. "Go when r-ready."
  10. (Gaelan Fenrir)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12.
  13. [18:57] Sieg was once again amazed at the skill of the younger generation of the House Fenrir. Of course he could technically be considered part of it, but he was slightly older than his cousins. As such as he was surprised whenever he saw their skill. To be able to handle magic so expertly at such an age, Sieg was almost jealous.
  14.
  15. Sieg was well versed in ice magic of course like the rest of his bloodline, but he had never taken to any other form of magic besides ice, and the base elements that worked well with it. Even then he was no expert. Instead Sieg had practiced swordfighting. Deciding he was much more versatile as a battle mage of sorts. He would show that skill to Gaelan now.
  16.
  17. "Well Gaelan I'll be coming then! Just never mention to anyone my skills this day." Sieg then glanced over to Einar.
  18.
  19. "You either Einar. This must be kept secret." With that he turned to Gaelan. Bursting forward with a cold burst of wind. The spar had begun.
  20. (Siegfried Fenrir)
  21. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  22.
  23. [19:17] The mist emitted off the kid, surrounding the forest. It made vision harsh, it was quite dense. Even with him being so young, his control over his mana was wild. It was so refined. The mist was an extrusion of his aura... the one that covered his body. He extended the shroud with his illusionary magicks. Which created a dense, perfectly manifested cloud of mist, hide his movements.
  24.
  25. The kid blinded the man with his power and went in for an attack. The forest here gave him what he needed, shadows! He still wanted to work on controlling them as some sort of attack. So when they were blinded he attempted to make the shadows at his feet grasp on to him. Trying to lock him in place.
  26.
  27. His mana was spread so wide around the field, gave him the ability to pour his power into the shadows within the forest. Attempting to give it life. However that wasn't really helping. Sieg just ran around dashing at him like a madman. He didn't understand how to use them but he was determined to do it!
  28.
  29. As the fight continued he was dancing around his opponents attacks with relative ease. A vision of multiple Gaelan's surrounded his opponent. As he made moves against the wrong one and all the others attacked him. The spell did no physical damage but his mind was stressed. This swiftly made Sieg take a breather.
  30.
  31. "Try harder..." He says calmly and with authority.
  32. (Gaelan Fenrir)
  33. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  34.
  35. [19:30] Sieg was definitely not expecting this from the younger Fenrir. He indeed was a fierce fighter. It did not match up to his shy personality at all. In fact Sieg felt like it was more akin to a chase of tag for him.
  36.
  37. Sieg was struggling to keep up with Gaelan in certain instances. A sigh as he grew increasingly annoyed by the struggle. This was in part in reason why Sieg was not exactly keen on fighting. He hated when things were not in his control, and suddenly he was trapped.
  38.
  39. An illusion no doubt but one which made him stagger. As he withdrew momentarily from Gaelan. Giving himself a breather. He would obviously need to think of another tactic.
  40.
  41. A quick breathe, "Well looks like I got my work cut out for me then. Here I come again." With a grin Sieg once again prepared to rush through.
  42.
  43. This time the air around him grew much colder, and when he sped by the ground beneath him became frosted.
  44. (Siegfried Fenrir)
  45. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  48. [19:49] The kid never showed himself when the fight was on a brief hiatus. He continued to stay deep within the mist. Even his voice was omnidirectional. It made Gaelan sound like he was one with the mist itself. As he continued to do increasingly difficult tasks, stuff like this will become easy for him. This was the first time he had done something to this degree however. The ability was strong, but he couldn't sustain it for long.
  49.
  50. As the second half begun the power from the kid was waning. He needed to end this fast if he intended to continue to fight like this. Spots of the mist would open up with the light breeze. The density remained but to control his mana he needed to reduce the coverage of the mist.
  51.
  52. The kid rushed his opponent with all his might. Trying to end it as fast as possible. He didn't aim to do the same illusion trick as last time so he tried to do something different. That move was ridiculously taxing on him.
  53.
  54. He stuck more towards the shadows that the moon made off the trees. Once again he attempted to wield them with no avail! He truly didn't understand what to do about this. He was missing a clear idea. Why not just use your own shadows. Not the ones around you. It would be much easier to control his own. This thought eludes him for now.
  55.
  56. The fight ended with a quick mana ripple to Sieg's body, and the mist quickly dispersed. Gaelan fell to his knees. He let out a large puff of cold air. It seemed that took a lot out of him.
  57. (Gaelan Fenrir)
  58. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  59.
  60. [20:01] Sieg had never seen such a skill performed, and was once again in awe at the specializations that came from the bloodline of Fenrir. Gaelan would truly be remembered down the line. In short terms however, Gaelan was probably the worst person for Sieg to fight. His ability allowed him to blend in perfectly with the environment. What made matters worse he could easily counter Sieg's own ice magic.
  61.
  62. In the end Sieg was sent flying with a mana ripple straight to the body not able to best Gaelan even once. Surprised at the fact that he was overwhelmed by the young Fenrir, as he skidded across the ground. Coming to stop right before the nearby pond.
  63.
  64. Gaelan had truly shown quite the power, and Sieg had done a truly horrible job of presenting his strength to his two cousins. As he stood slowly rubbing his aching chest he looked over to see Gaelan had taxed himself quite a bit.
  65.
  66. Sieg walked off the pain as he made his way towards Gaelan, offering his young cousin a helping hand.
  67.
  68. "Well Gaelan I can certainly say you outshine me in battle. I look forward to seeing your growth in the future. I'm also sorry I did a horrible job at proving my worth to you. I swear I can and will do better than that in the future. It's my job to help keep you guys safe and I intend to do just that."
  69. (Siegfried Fenrir)
  70. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  71.
  72. [20:12] The young Fenrir looked up at Sieg. His baby blue hues seemed tired. He might've stressed his body out too much. The large bags under his eyes seemed quite predominate. Clearly the past while the kid hasn't gotten much sleep.
  73.
  74. He might've bee practicing his mana control in his free time; And if so than he has shown a lot of progress. Soon even more will be had! This kid never sleeps, he is quite the hard worker. He intends on being the best that he can be. That is on full display.
  75.
  76. He takes the hand from his cousin and gets back to a stand. Another puff of freezing cold air comes from Gaelan's lungs. His shyness isn't really showing right now. Its a strange sight even for Sieg. To be honest he might be one of the few that has never seen him like this. Unless he was around when Gaelan was talking to a female.
  77.
  78. "Yea... if you plan to be called a Fenrir, you need to work on that. I'm not even -that- strong. I need to be better than this... I have too much work to do." He sighs. No rest for the wicked.
  79.
  80. "You wanna go again?" He asked as if he wasn't tired at all.
  81. (Gaelan Fenrir)
