speedplans 2020

Had a lot of fun at GDQ, got to hang out with my wonderful friends and Katie for a whole week and I'm ready to get back on the Speedrun grind!

Here are my current [tentative] plans for speedrunning:

1) Black Mesa
	My current plan for Black Mesa is to learn the Earthbound segments for the game and try to get sub 1:30. I will run this game at the very least until the end of this month! I'm going to submit this to SGDQ 2020.

2) Return to Half-Life:
	I want to get a 28 in Half-Life and hopefully go for top 5. I'm gonna do a lot of training, practicing new routes and skips, and all the good stuff like that to try to improve my route and get some better times. Will run this as long as I need to, or until I burn out. I may submit to SGDQ if I feel my improvement at the game will warrant another showcase in my name, if not I'll hold off on that.

3) Half-Life: Alyx?
	Not sure how the speedruns of this will work! I'm gonna be looking into getting a Valve Index in order to run this game as soon as it releases. One issue I may have is space in my streaming room if this ends up needing a lot of room, but I should have some jank-ass workarounds to be able to run the game with whatever the best control setup for it is. I originally planned on sumbitting this to SGDQ 2020, but I'm going to hold off until AGDQ 2021 to ensure that the run has a good amount of development and strats.

4) Half-Life 2
	If things don't pan out as much for HL:A, I'm going to return to Half-Life 2 and attempt to get a sub 55 in no voidclip. With the many new strategies and route improvements, I'm hoping I'll be able to improve rather quickly and get a time that isn't outdated. Will submit to SGDQ 2020 to show off the new routes, strats, and gameplay overall.
