“Jedi!” screamed the woman. She opened fire, swaying from side to side to spray Porter with a stream of blaster shots, all of them coming from slightly different angles.

He moved.

The blaster shots fizzed, deflected away into the night. All but one, which caught the woman in the forehead, burning a neat hole through the center of her mask, right through the pupil of her painted third eye.

Her body toppled.
