- [SBURB Rules and HP]
- SBURB functions with a ‘Base Strength Limiter’, meaning that all of the Characters who enter the game are stripped of their Psionics and any kind of Physical Strength Advantage they might have over another player. Each type of combat is decided by a 1d20 roll, with a Nat 1 Critical Fail, Nat 20 Critical Success system. A Nat 1 means that you do No Damage for the round and your Opponent gets a +1 to their next roll (1d20+1). A Nat 20 means that you have successfully ended the fight in one of two ways depending on Combat Type: Non-Lethal or Willful Murder. Any rolls above a 10 leave a Mark dependant on Combat Type.
- The only Bonuses any person gets is based on their Species and Caste, and this bonus goes to their total HP. There are different ‘Base’ HPs depending on the type of Combat being rolled, but the Modifier will be the same. The modifiers are as follows:
- +1 HP Rustbloods, Bronzebloods
- +2 HP Yellowbloods, Limebloods
- +3 HP Humans, Olivebloods, Jadebloods
- +4 HP Tealbloods, Ceruleanbloods
- +5 HP Bluebloods, Purplebloods
- +6 HP Violetbloods, Fuchsiabloods
- Non-Lethal fighting begins with a Base 20 HP. Willful Murder begins with a Base 50 HP.

- [Types of Combat]
- There are two types of Combat when in SBURB: Non-Lethal Fighting, and Willful Murder. Multiple people can engage in a single Fight, in which the participants will have to declare WHO they’re targeting before rolling each attack. This can lead to multiple characters ganging up on one another, or crazy free-for-alls depending on the dynamic and the scene.
- >>NON-LETHAL FIGHTING<<
- SBURB Characters are allowed to attack others Freely. If two characters engage in a non-lethal fight, the Typists are allowed to either come to a decision of a win amongst themselves, or roll for a non-lethal fight using the following formula:
- Each character fighting is assigned a Number and an equal sided die is rolled to determine who goes first. This continues until all parties have a Roll Order. Example:
- Character A, Character B, and Character C all want to brawl. A=1, B=2, C=3.
- /r 1d3 = 2
- A=1, C=2
- /r 1d2 = 1
- The Roll Order would then become
- Character B, Character A, Character C.
- Each attack is determined by a /r 1d20 to determine how much damage is done. The base HP each character has for the fight is 20HP + HP Modifiers. When rolling, anything above a 10 leaves a mark (Bruise, scrape, cut, scratch, etc). If a Nat 20 is rolled by either party, regardless of HP, it counts as a TKO and the character being attacked is knocked unconscious or is otherwise unable to continue fighting.
- ----------
- >>WILLFUL MURDER<<
- Willful Murder has a few different Rules to Non-Lethal Fighting which will be explained here.
Anything above a 10 leaves a more severe wound depending on how close to 20 the result is, meaning a 10 would be something more like a bruise, a 15 would be something more like a deep laceration or broken bone, and a 19 would be a severe wound like a missing eye or a torn-off arm. Wounds are to be decided by the players, ask for Admin assistance if needed. The Base HP for Willful Murder is 50HP + HP Modifier.
- If a Nat 20 is rolled by either party, regardless of HP, it counts as a Killing Blow and the character being targeted may either be Killed or Spared by the attacker, ending the fight.
- If one character does not want to fight and is being attacked by the other character, the Character not willing to fight must roll 1d3 to determine what happens.
- 1- You escape but get mildly wounded in the process.
- 2- You escape successfully without wounds.
- 3- You cannot escape and must Fight. You may either choose not to fight and take a Death, or begin rolling for Willful Murder.
- At any point, characters may attempt to Flee a Battle and roll to escape instead of rolling an Attack.
