 BACKGROUND ┆ born and raised in goyang, south korea, inha was the eldest of two. as a child, she constantly had the mindset of a winner drilled into her and anything less than number one was not good enough. her father, who used to be a swimmer but quit after an injury, signed her up for swimming classes as soon as she was old enough. during practice breaks, inha would simply sit around and stare at her toes while the other kids talked to each other. she regarded them all as potential rivals/enemies and refused to get close with them in fear of being vulnerable in the future. even in school, she had no friends (until she met the other girls of course) and would just sit at her desk by herself, reading a book or studying. not only did her parents expect her to be the best swimmer, they also expected her to rank number one in the school academically too.

 PERSONALITY ┆ inha is literally the epitome of competitive. she could turn absolutely ANYTHING into a competition and no matter how petty or frivolous it is, she will strive to win. her ultimate goal is to achieve her father's dream and become an olympic swimmer. she most definitely has a superiority complex. she is constantly putting up walls and lying because the last thing she wants is to show some vulnerability. for example, inha is constantly abandoning her health in fear of losing her top ranking in school and at her swim meets but if her friends ask her if she's okay, she will blow a fuse and tell them they're being dramatic despite the fact that is it very obvious that she is not okay. most of the time, she doesn't really talk much. in fact, she's kind of antisocial and even ignores people on occasions. however, if you accidentally touch on a sensitive spot (which she has a lot of), she will explode. inha is also extremely uptight. her daily schedule is always full and she doesn't really know how to loosen up. she is just a high-strung person by nature, sometimes even to the point of paranoia. although she would never admit it, she deeply cares about her friends and is actually trying very hard not to lose them.

 	↪ inha - the moment she laid eyes on him, she felt an overwhelming urge to punch him in the face. he was TOO perfect and that ticked her off. she's worked her entire life only to be close to perfect while this guy looked like he was just born with everything falling into his lap.
 	↪ seokjin - he could literally feel the hatred radiating from her body. it kind of scared him, but he didn't really think much of it since he did nothing wrong and it was likely he was never going to see her again.

 	↪ beginning - just the mention of his name made her blood boil. he had a knack for being able to get under her skin. everything he did seemed better than she did and she began to let her competitive side (and complex) show. she treated him like he was her sworn enemy and couldn't even stand to be in the same room as him without saying some not-so-nice things.
 
 	↪ middle - as they got closer, she decided that maybe he wasn't that bad after all. yes, he was still cocky as hell, but she noticed that if someone actually gave him a genuine compliment, he got embarrassed. she found that to be cute, although she would rather decapitate herself than ever admit it. she still argues with him like crazy, but she treats him just like she treats her friends. she pretends to be really annoyed, but she isn't. she actually respects him a lot.

 	↪ beginning - it was not secret that inha hated him. he wasn't really sure why but he decided to play along anyway. although he was very confident from the beginning, he exaggerated his personality a bit just to provoke her and get a reaction. he thought it was really cute how he could literally see it in her eyes when she was about to blow a fuse.
 
 	↪ middle - at this point, he's kind of dropped his super cocky and arrogant facade and just gone back to being confident-but-not-infuriatingly-so seokjin. he gets really surprised when she actually stops being mean to him and compliments him since he's so used to her spitting insults at him 24/7.
 
 	↪ end - to be honest, seokjin kind of knew he would like her from the very beginning. just the fact that she managed to get a reaction out of him from the very beginning (because he probably wouldn't even have given any other girl the time of day) at the swim meet shocked him. however he never really thought she would reciprocate the feelings. he immediately knows when she starts to like him too, because, honestly. inha is not subtle whatsoever, but he loves that about her.
