+background: Hyojoo was born in Ontario, Canada by a Canadian mother and a Korean father. She was that child that everyone hates. She was very lazy, staying home everyday and barely hanging out with any of her friends. She would lock herself in her room and either sleep or write lyrics for the rest of the day and sometimes, if she wasn’t sleeping, she would stay up past midnight working on lyrics or just listening to music. She was always late to school, not wanting to get up in the morning ever. At school she was bothersome and didn’t do any of her work. She complained about the bad grades that she got when she never studied anyways. Hyojoo just cared about music and didn’t want to be bothered by dumb school. Her parents hated the way that Hyojoo was so lazy so they encouraged her to take piano lessons, and singing lessons to get out of the house more. Hyojoo was glad that she was able to improve more on her music skills with the lessons, but never actually wanted to go to them because she was too lazy.  At the age of 15, Hyojoo moved to Seoul, South Korea because her father got a job from her grandfather as a cook at the family restaurant. While they were there, Hyojoo attended a performing arts high school that her parents put her into. She was a still the lazy individual that she always was since Canada, but she became more wise in Korea. Since the teachers were way more strict in Korea than in Canada, Hyojoo was forced to work hard to not get kicked out of her dream school. Her favorite class was rap and she loved her teacher. Her teacher thought that Hyojoo had the best raps he’s ever heard. One day, when Hyojoo was least expecting it, Her rap teacher asked Hyojoo to enter the annual talent show where she could win a chance to train at a big entertainment company. Hyojoo was surprised by this offer, and denied it, saying that she wasn’t good enough for this kind of publicity yet. Her teacher was disappointed by that because he thought Hyojoo had the talent to win the prize. A week before the competition, Hyojoo decided that maybe she should take that chance. Her parents believed in her and wanted her to take a career in music anyways. So, Hyojoo entered the contest and rapped a rap that was composed by her. That weekend after the show had finished, Hyojoo got a call from the school. The call was from Hyojoo’s principal saying that she won the prize for the talent show. Hyojoo was to start training that summer at Starship Entertainment and she would continue school at the entertainment building. Hyojoo and her parents were ecstatic that Hyojoo was going to be training to debut with a huge entertainment company as a rapper. It was her dream come true. After a few years with Starship, Hyojoo was sick of the treatment she got and moved into BigHit where she would soon debut ((:

 personality: Hyojoo is the laziest, most hardworking person ever. Yes, I know those two words usually don’t go together, just let me explain. At the dorm she’s always lazing around, either on the couch or in her room. She’s usually sleeping after schedule because she’s exhausted. She gets tired very easily and sometimes falls asleep on the member next to her in the car. In the mornings, when the girls are to start their schedule, Hyojoo’s the last one up. You’re gonna have to work to wake her up because she is a deep sleeper. She’s usually the excuse when Crown is late to schedule. She enjoys her sleep and if you wake her up anytime that’s not in the morning or when there’s an emergency, she’ll flip out and tackle the person who woke her up (not hurting them though). After that she becomes really grouchy and grumpy, usually putting on a pout face and scrunched eyebrows for a good hour or so because she’s so annoyed. Hyojoo is a heavy eater. She eats a lot more than her tiny stomach can handle. She stuffs her face like a pig and is always excited when she sees food. Usually after dinner all the plates are cleared and Hyojoo’s in her room with a mild headache and a bad stomachache. Luckily, she has a fast metabolism, but she does gain some weight every year. Now, when Crown has a schedule, Hyojoo works very hard to make sure her voice sounds good for performances and that she gets the dance down to impress the fans. At dance practice she works the hardest to get the dance correct and she’s usually the first one to become overly tired after they finish. She doesn’t practice late at night when everyone is sleeping, since she’s been sleeping almost the whole day, and improves her skills so that she can show the fans what she’s got. Hyojoo has a sexy feeling on stage, she likes to show off her dance moves and maybe some body rolls, you never know with her. Hyojoo is very horrible at making funny comments or jokes. She usually makes a joke that she thinks is funny and that no one else gets. Then she just embarrasses herself and ends up being made fun of for it. Lastly, Hyojoo is very deep and emotional. Since she likes to write lyrics with the composer of the group, when she locks herself into her room to intend to sleep, sometimes she sits at her desk, listens to her favorite ballads, and starts to write some new lyrics. She always puts in thoughts when in lyric discussions with the composer and enjoys listening to Crown’s songs once they come out for about a week before continuing to write more songs.

They became friends and exchanged numbers. (yikes I just realized that it sounds so unrealistic because their kpop idols.. Sorry 'bout that).
