Hi, NAME!

3-
Our team just completed the audit of your backlink profile. We did find some lower-quality links that we recommend including in a disavow file via Google's Disavow tool. The disavow file will tell search engines that we are aware of these lower-quality links and instruct them to ignore these links when they evaluate our backlink profile. This is a proactive measure to mitigate any potential negative impact on our site's ranking ability and will help safeguard our site's organic performance in the future.

Our in-house team of link audit experts just completed the review of your backlink profile.

Do you have any questions before we upload the disavow file? We'll plan to upload this file by [DATE].

When we reviewed Google's Latest Links, we found that the links that Semrush identified as "toxic" were not present in Google's Latest Links. {LINK TO FILE}

This is great news! This means that Google is essentially already ignoring these links by not indexing them.

{{You may include additional context on how Google and Semrush/SEO tools index links differently, if you haven't already discussed this}}

You can also upload the disavow file directly to your SEMrush profile, and that will resolve the "toxic" links recorded on your backlink profile. Here's a step-by-step resource on that: https://www.semrush.com/kb/764-disavowing-your-backlinks. Alternatively, I'm happy to upload this file to SEMrush for you.

Based on this finding, we do not recommend creating or uploading a disavow file.
11-
If you don't upload the disavow file to SEMrush, the "toxic" backlinks will still show up on your SEMrush backlink audit, but they will not be causing any potential harm to our site. As a reminder, search engines (Google, Bing, etc.) do not use any third-party backlink profile audits (like SEMrush) for any ranking consideration. So, our site will be covered with the disavow file we upload to Google even without the upload to SEMrush!

We generally do not compile disavows for clients unless they are already experiencing a manual penalty in Google Search Console and have rapidly built unnatural or low-quality links.

More recently, Google's Search Liason, John Mueller, has made multiple comments about how disavows can be damaging to a website's performance.
