| 15 | Background: Cha'Sid was born neither out of love, but out of necessity, pettiness, rivalry, and spite. All of the world's awfulness and the battles between both the forces of good and evil were both put onto him from a child. Two tribes, one of black scales that wished to revel and control the land and a tribe of gold scales that wished to protect it were at war and have been for many decades now. They both fought for a small fertile valley, though small in the long run of kingdoms and empires, was a vast battlefield of ideology. However one year two across from each other, after much bloodshed, neither had the spirit to fight any longer and sought peace. To find peace and coexist within the valley, each tribe gave an heir. The tribe of the black scales gave a daughter and the tribe of gold gave a son. They were forced together, tribe to tribe, son to daughter, to rule together, even though each by nature hated the other but stayed together to protect themselves from further harm and bloodshed. They then bore a child so that peace may reign for many more years, but each side saw themselves and the other in this child, and as he grew he saw the resentment seen from either side and even came to resent himself. As the year came for him to take the heir to the small empire they had, he turned it down and left. Both tribes soon perished as each blamed each other still, and snuffed each other out. | |

| 17 | However Cha'sid still wandered, not worrying ever about his people, knowing they were never meant to last and sought only for his own true place knowing just as those two tribes were never meant to be together he was never meant among them. Eventually he'd find his way to Moswylde. He shared many plights with the people of the land, understanding the troubles that clans can cause and sought to in some way aid their people. From here he would come under tutelage under a wandering old ronin who sought to end the wars between the clans just as him. However, the ronin had long since abandoned this goal, realizing just as Cha'sid did with his own tribes, that these forces are as eternal as day and night and suffering will never end. Though he saw a greater destiny in the young kobold and trained him before his death. Thus, being taught the way of the samurai before his death, Cha'sid sought out again with his master's blade to find his destiny once more. |
