His family can be traced all the way back to the time of the Swedish Empire, ofcourse this means he's of noble blood, even though he doesn't look particularly "swedish". He does speak swedish fluently, but has never actually visited the country. He's lived most of his life in Hong Kong for the simple reason that his parents were offered well-paid jobs there. |
So he's been brought up to behave properly, smile and nod and bow whenever needed. Table manners, proper conversation and all kinds of different etiquette lessons. |
He is in reality incredibly tired of it all, but he fears that if his parents were to find out they would disown him or cut his funds, which he doesn't want to. |
So instead he finds an outlet in his obsession with the murder of the Black Dahlia. |
He's even gone as far as to mimic it, more than once. And much to his joy the papers did catch on to his references (or maybe they just thought it would sell more papers if they gave the murders a catchy name), thus naming him "The Gray Dahlia". He collects every article about his murders in a scrapbook kept secret from his parents. Most of his friends just think he's a weirdo and needs a different hobby. Which is pretty much spot on if you look at it from another light.
