 <LanceLynel>: The mid-morning shone through the windows of Buck's Academy, as the clock ticked slowly toward lunch break. The students, eager to get the lesson over and done with, have all made their way toward the top floor,where their next class awaited.
 Wrong_Way holds his stomach as he waits outside the classroom
 <Wrong_Way>: "Man...."
 <Gwyd>: "Are you alright?"

 Clara is also hungry, moreso because she hasn't eaten last night as she was in the middle of a breakthrough that went... nowhere. She tiredly floats over to the classroom.
 <Wrong_Way>: "Man, I'm just gonna summon a pizza if this is going to be a boring class..."
 <Gwyd>: Man that sucks but lunch isnt fa-oh hey clara"
 <Clara>: "Hey Gwydion, hey Mark" she says with a yawn, she hasn't bothered landing on the ground so she just thoughtlessly floats in the air

 <LanceLynel>: The teacher opened the door to the classroom, and immediately you could see one thing; he was the same age as the students. He is dressed smartly, though his hair is ruffled and shirt untucked.
 <LanceLynel>: "Oh, right, forgot about the class. Well, c'mon in already."
 Wrong_Way tries to exchange a glance of confusion with Gwyd
 Gwyd heads into class and takes a seat near clara, and wrong way.
 Clara heads on into class, wondering if it would be wrong of her to bring up the fact the teacher is a teenager

 <LanceLynel>: The room looks pretty standard: A selection of shelves sat near the far wall, on them a wide selection of books. Various other books were strewn messily around the room, mostly dictionaries and thesauruses.
 <LanceLynel>: "Oh, uh, right... you there, got a question?" the teacher points at Mark as he asks.
 <Wrong_Way>: "Would you mind if I summon a pizza here?"
 Clara looks over to mark confused

 Wrong_Way manages an embarrassed smile as he's holding his very hungry stomach

 Trick gets up, takes his backpack and sets it down at the table with Clara and Wrong_Way

 Trick takes a slice and leans back in his seat to eat comfortably
 
 Clara "Hello John.." she does her usual sheepish greeting

 Wrong_Way "I doubt I'll finish the whole thing" he says, finishing a slice
 
 Clara waits a second, then takes a piece once she is sure he actually means it.

 Trick "So, I'm John Depascale. 18 years old. Male. Used to play a lot of football, but I was kicked off the team when my mutant powers activated. Y'know, since superpowers aren't fair and all. Moved here with my cousin to stop
 getting shit from half the folks at my old school. I worked most of the time since and I guess I haven't had any room for hobbies."
 
 Trick slumps back down and continues eating pizza.
 LanceLynel "Quite the story. If you don't mind me asking, were you good at football?"

 Clara nods as he tells the story, eats pizza

 <LanceLynel>: "Okay, so a book tells a story, right? And the idea behind the story is to give an experience, make the reader feel something."
 <LanceLynel>: "Whether it's... Joy." he scrawls the word down in his notebook.
 <LanceLynel>: In an instant, he is swarmed by brightly-colored butterflies, and once they disperse, a strange creature is left behind.
 <LanceLynel>: Brightly-colored and human in shape, made from what appeared to be sweet treats, toys, and various other trinkets.
 Wrong_Way looks to the pizza box, worried it was laced with marijuana
 Trick blankly stares at the creature
 <Trick>: [I did a marijuana and saw butterflies, man.]
 Clara looks on quizzically
 <LanceLynel>: When the creature speaks, the voice remains the same, although somewhat softer. "Or perhaps Sadness."
 <LanceLynel>: Again he writes the word in, bringing in a group of dark clouds.
 <LanceLynel>: They remain, and the creature's colors become muted and grey.
 Trick looks to Clara and Wrong_way with a confused expression
 Wrong_Way looks back interested
 Wrong_Way wonders if he should be taking notes on this
 Clara waits to see more
 <LanceLynel>: The creature crosses the words from his notebook, and slowly things return to normal. The creature's body seems to shed off, leaving Lance standing there.
 Trick returns to looking at what's going on
 <LanceLynel>: "Which is why I want to ask you all, what do you want out of a story?"
 <LanceLynel>: "What do you want to see and feel?"
 <LanceLynel>: "Just throw words out, no fear."
 Wrong_Way raises his hand
 <LanceLynel>: "Yes, Mark."
 <Wrong_Way>: "Uh...I want the hero to go somewhere. Like, learn something new and start to change.."
 <LanceLynel>: "Change, Growth, Learning! All very good."
 <Clara>: "I always look for some kind of commentary or message on something greater than the story itself"
 Clara shrugs
 <LanceLynel>: Lance writes the words in, and from his notebook hop out three figures; a young boy swinging a stick like a sword, a teenager training with a proper sword, and an adult man in knights' armor.
 <LanceLynel>: "Commentary, Message, eh? Interesting."
 <LanceLynel>: Lance starts to write the words in, and a miniature city seems to pop up from the floor.
 <Trick>: "It could also use a hook. A unique and interesting set of circumstances."
 <LanceLynel>: "Circumstance, Dilemmas and Events."
 <Wrong_Way>: ["Yeah! And Vampires! And True Love! Like Twilight!"]
 <LanceLynel>: As Lance continues to write, it seems hundreds of events show up; from families on the beach to dragons kidnapping princesses.

 <LanceLynel>: "Now, seriously, just say anything. What do you like seeing in stories?"
 <Trick>: "So what kinda story do you think this should be?"
 <Clara>: "Well, if I remember, things usually fall into tragedy, irony, comedy, or romance"
 <Clara>: "think we should start from there"
 <LanceLynel>: "Okay, we have a foundation."
 <Trick>: "...Can we make it a character drama?"
 <Wrong_Way>: "Sure, if we have a villain."
 <Clara>: "Good end or bad end? Best to decide early"

 <LanceLynel>: "It's all about what works for you. For some, it's better to build as they go along."
 <LanceLynel>: "Others like to plan in advance, be it for one book, a trilogy or even more."
 <Trick>: "Let's do one of those stories where the antagonist was right all along, but you only realize like 3/4ths through the book and it's too late to fix what the main characters have done."
 <Wrong_Way>: "...That sounds really mean to our main characters."
 <LanceLynel>: "And in some ways, that's good."
 <LanceLynel>: "People like to see what the main character is made of."
 <LanceLynel>: "Beat him down, and watch him get back up."
 <LanceLynel>: "A little sadistic, but eh, people have a mean streak."
 <Clara>: "Or, we can build it up as to have the main character come to losing as they do because of their own decisions. A classic tragedy"
 <Wrong_Way>: "Then why would anyone read that? Constantly getting beat up?"
 <Clara>: "Well, the point usually is to sympathize while understanding what the main character has done wrong."
 <Trick>: ["Iunno, but I've been reading Spiderman for however long now so..."]
 <LanceLynel>: "It's not about getting beaten up. Well, it kind of is."
 <Clara>: "Doesn't work for long running stories, but for a self contained story tragedy has made some of the most popular stories out there"
 <LanceLynel>: "But it's about seeing them get up. No matter what life has thrown at them, they don't let up."
 <Trick>: "The term is, uh... catharsis. You get the negative emotions out of your system empathetically through the stories you read."
 <Clara>: "Greek tragedies and Shakespearean ones, big old obvious being Romeo and Juliet"
 <Trick>: "So if you're angry, and you read an angry book, it helps you blow it all off and be done with it. Y'know?"

 Trick contemplates
 Clara scratches her chin, thinking

 <Wrong_Way>: "Vampire. He's a vampire, but he wants to use his vampire powers for good and to get the girl."
