Corvette vs Verlux
4
5
**Round 1**
6
Verlux
7
* Stat Establishment post
8
* Jason is overwhelmingly more powerful than Raizo. The moment Jason lays a finger on the ninja, he outright dies.
9
* Jason is too tanky for Raizo. Raizo has to be able to output a lot of damage rapidly without being touched to win
10
* Jason has the element of surprise.
11
* Jason has the horror movie SUPRISE STEALTH to counter Raizo's stealth.
12
* "Jason hits too hard, survives any glancing hits until he teleports in and tags Raizo once; Raizo canonically can't deal with this type of threat"
13
14
* Creeper won't leverage the truck
15
* Creeper has no skill
16
* Creeper's bullet resistance doesn't measure up
17
* Preston is too skilled and his guns are too good
18
19
* Lancelot's Endurance is too good
20
* Lancelot is stupidly strong
21
* Lancelot is durable
22
* Lancelot is skilled
23
* The Khanivore is on a time limit
24
* Khanivore is lacking in striking and can't outgrapple Lancelot
25
* Khanivore is dumb IC
26
* Khanivore isn't durable
27
28
Corv
29
* Getting hit by Jason would hurt Raizo. However, Jason will never hit Raizo due to a skill gap
30
* Jason is actively unskilled and slow
31
* Raizo Stealth > Jason teleportation
32
* Jason's stealth is also just bad
33
* Raizo can slice apart Jason
34
35
* The Creeper is unfazed by fire from a 20mm so Preston can't damage him
36
* Creeper's regeneration only can be impeded if foreign objects are preventing him from doing so
37
* The Creeper destroys Preston with any hit because he is much stronger
38
* all of Creeper's offensive options are lethal to Preston
39
* Creeper is not slow
40
41
* Khanivore is stronger than Lancelot, and even if she were weaker or equal in strength, she'd have an easier time moving him than the reverse just as a result of their relative masses favoring her in an exchange
42
* Khanivore is more durable (than Lancelot)
43
* Lancelot's endurance feats are unspecific
44
* a wound losing Lancelot a pint of blood knocks him out.
45
* Lancelot's skill doesn't really translate against Khanivore because she effectively isn't humanoid and doesn't use a weapon
46
47
Round 2
48
Verlux
49
* Raizo does not always take the optimal paths as Corv suggested
50
* Raizo entering the ship plays into the horror trope Jasons feats embody
51
* Jason is in fact, skilled.
52
* Jason DOES dodge.
53
* Jason killing unarmed teens is slow for horror effect. He kills actually threatening people much faster.
54
* Raizo styles on dudes outside their element, this is inside Jasons element
55
56
* Creeper got pierced by a knife
57
* Creeper getting his head damaged isn't 'fine' when he's blatantly injured and limping around.
58
* Creeper doesn't just rip Preston apart and Corv is wrong about how joint manipulation works
59
* Being strong =/= negate skill
60
* Creeper's bullet block feat is kind of dubious in this context
61
* Skill difference
62
63
* Turboraptor fight isn't a good strength indicator
64
* The strength scaling isn't elaborated on
65
* The tentacle strikes aren't really fast
66
* Khanivore can't really touch Lancelot
67
68
Corv
69
* Raizo WILL go into the dark and is also just skilled
70
* Holy shit the anti-feat dump.
71
* Freddy isn't skilled
72
* No feats for regenerating from beheading, no feats for regenerating from actual dismemberment, several feats indicating bad timeframes for what regeneration he does have
73
* Creeper can keep moving with holes in his head.
74
* Khan actually IS fast.
75
76
Takeaways:
77
Jason versus Raizo - I am kind of convinced Jason is a horrible pick. The anti-feat dump Corvette does really sold it for me that there are just a demonstrably high amount of times when Jason is slow as fuck. I don't quite buy that no good feats of Jason's speed are in existence, but the amount of bad easily trumps the good. I am pretty unconvinced about Jason being even remotely skilled and the arguments regarding shadowstep or not going into the carrier felt especially jank. Winner: Jason.
78
79
Preston versus Creeper - In this iteration, I think Creeper isn't *terrible*, but Verlux's argument swayed me a bit more. While Corvette tried defending the idea that Creeper with a goddamn half-head *could* fight, Verlux's link showing Creeper basically just... not moving kind of sold me the idea that if anyone actually got Creeper to that stage, Creeper was functionally incapacitated and would just need his opponent to possess even half a braincell to finish him off. While I buy into the argument Creeper IS stronger by a fat margin than Preston, Preston having ranged, using a weapon and being easily more skilled makes him win it for me. Winner: Preston.
80
81-
Lancelot versus Khan. - So I am solidly convinced Khanivore is stronger than Lancelot for sure and stats-wise, I'd argue that Khanivore probably is probably better in a lot of case. There is however, a huge BUT that I see, which I noticed that Corv actually didn't argue against in his second response. Khanivore... kinda fights like an idiot and is going to just run headlong into Lancelot in basically its only instance of canon tourney fighting, which is something that Verlux even points out. Despite the fact that I think Khan is honestly a better statline for lack of a better term, I think the fact that Khan fighting like an idiot loses it.
