| Past the dashed line is the CURRENT scenario, that must be read. Below is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to be read.

| The world of Nobella is a massive world. It spans out so far and wide that most people are reluctant to head outside of the three main continent's boundaries. These continents are the main super powers, with the other small isles either being considered part of one of the continental nations, or being populated by third world powers that aren't really remarkable enough to have a name for themselves. You all hail from any of these islands; be it from the main continent, or one of the lesser-known isles.

| Magic is very prevalent in the world of Nobella. In fact, technology flourished solely thanks to it, and while we may call the phenomena 'magic', those who live in Nobella often liken it to a science instead. This branch of 'science' is called Thaumaturgy, which relies on carefully breaking down and reshaping the world's various aspects and components into powerful, magical effects. Thanks to Thaumaturgy, technology has advanced heavily to the point where ships for far travel have been invented several years before. Thousands of airships fly across the globe on a daily basis.

| However, with something as powerful as Thaumaturgy, one can guess that something horrible can happen. 50 years ago, a young prince named Kane was orphaned from the assassination of his parents, leading to him losing his right to rule, and subsequently, his exile. Kane escaped with his would-be bride to live this life, and while he went unheard of for some time, whispers of a cult began to spread across the world of Nobella. A religion focused on the empowerment of oneself through Magic began to spread across the land, with promises of Godhood being granted to those most loyal to its supposed 'God'. This cult, often called the 'False Gods', slowly crept into power until Kane and Cecile managed to reveal themselves.

| Within days, they lead an army of Magi to sweep through Atros, quickly reclaiming Kane's rulership, and succeeding in the rebellion. Their lust for power, however, didn't stop there. Kane promised his followers the potential of ascending beyond the mortal limits of man, promising monumental power achieved through Thaumaturgy and magic. This promise later lead to Kane and what he called his Apostles to lead a war unlike any other; with hundreds of Magi standing at the front line.
| ||
| Both sides suffered great losses. Some countries were even scarred permanently; but after about 10 years of war, Kane was finally defeated, which ushered in an entirely new age. This age was called 'The Age of Dawn', signifying the opportunity to finally have respite from the horrible war.
| ||
| 10 years after all these events, the Age of Recovery has been slow, but successful. Peace has been kept among the nations, and they've been rebuilding most of what they've lost.

| - | Though each nation often has a governing body, every country has a single Archmagus whose often regarded as the nation's leader. These Archmagi form a special organization called the Council of Elders, which is dedicated to regulating both the peace, and the usage of magic across the world. Council members, referred collectively as the Archmagi, are exceptionally powerful Thaumaturges that have in some shape way or form, pioneered magic and technology throughout their country. |

| Name: | |
| - | This lead to them being trusted as the head of all Thaumaturgical research; and thanks to them, a series of important laws were established to maintain balance and safety among practitioners of Thaumaturgy. Many nations actually consider the Archmagus as their leader, rather than elect a traditional king or queen. |

| Appearance: | |
| - | A very common tradition practiced by the Archmagi is handpicking young apprentices from different countries to live and train beneath one of the many members of their council. Your character just so happens to be one of these apprentices, plucked out from their country and selected by Izumi Himura herself. |
