You had barely survived the Royal Guard’s attempt to kill you and found yourself entering a long, bleak corridor that was filled with cobwebs, and for some reason the smell of baked goods. They smelled so good and before you knew it, your nose was leading your feet forward through the dark hallway, and the only thing on your mind was getting to the source of that delicious smell. Shadows enveloped you and your footsteps seem to become heavier with each step you take but you’re DETERMINED to find out where this hallway takes you. However, despite how DETERMINED you are, you find yourself slowing down, the bottoms of your shoes feel like you’ve stepped into a minefield of gum so you try to flip your shoe to see what’s gotten stuck…

You can’t, your shoe feels as if it’s glued to the floor! But this was an easy fix right? All you had to do was take off your shoes and then pick them up so you can continue to the Core. You slip your foot out of the shoe and set it on the floor to regain your balance. To your surprise as soon as your socked foot touched the floor it gets just as stuck as your shoe was. Just what was this floor made of? Mousetraps? Glue? You struggle against the sticky material until you hear a giggle in the distance

”Uhuhuhu…”

Normally this would strike fear in the regular person, but you were used to things like this happening, after that dumb whoopee cushion joke when you first met Sans you learned not to take the denizens of the Underground too seriously. Still, something about that giggle… kind of frightened you. But your sense of courage is swiped away when you see something very alarming hovering over your head. Five glowing eyes float above you. Taking this as the cue to get the heck out, you try to free yourself but only manage to fall over. You lie on the ground and wait for something to happen. An alluring voice haunts the space around you,”Uhuhuhuhu my dear pet, there’s no reason to be so fussy…”

The eyes that were above you now inch closer and closer towards you, every fiber of your being tells you to look the other way but you’re gripped by a special kind of terror until they’re straight in front of you.

Someone claps and the tunneling hallway is all lit up revealing a girl with five eyes, six arms and one pair of legs who stands in front of you, she wears a little nametag that says “Muffet”. You had to admit, Muffet’s kinda cute. She bows and curtsies towards you, “Welcome to my spider den, would you like a cup of tea? I brewed it myself…” Tea? Tea did sound kinda good, especially after what happened with the Royal Guards so you nod clumsily, it was a little hard being stuck to the floor and all. With a smile she clasps a pair her of hands together and grabs a cup along with a steaming kettle and tilts it into the awaiting cup. A bundle of spiders drop from the kettle and land inside the fine china. Yes, that’s right. Spiders. Muffet doesn’t seem at all bothered by this and is only cheerful to help you, “OH that’s right, silly me! Sorry dearie, I know you’re a little stuck so I’ll help you drink it allll up~” Muffet bends over you, all five of her eyes are now on you as she brings the cup closer and closer to your lips. You have to think of something quick! You quickly rattle off something that comes off the top of your head, people usually drink tea and eat snacks don’t they? And the hallway smelled strongly of sugary treats so there had to be something in here right? She slaps her head and agrees with you, how could she forget? The arachnid girl picks you up from the floor with relative ease and this time she sets a table and pulls the chair out for you. This felt a little better, at least you postponed that teacup full of spiders right? Maybe the treats would be a little better. Your optimism fills you with a little bit of determination as you wait for Muffet to return, maybe if you were lucky the kettle of spiders was a fluke. When you see Muffet descending from the ceiling holding a regular tray of cookies and crumpets you feel your mouth water. The baked treats looked so good, you pick one up and sniff it. Absolutely fresh! You thank your lucky stars and bring it towards your mouth when you feel something poke your lips. The leg of a spider twitches on the flat surface of the cookie. Muffet’s face is absolutely beaming at this point, she’d never gotten anyone to try out her cookies. ”Go ahead, they’re fresh from the oven! Eat as many as you’d like dearie.” Her kind demeanor makes you feel bad, you don’t want to be rude, so you pick one up and bring it close to your mouth again. This time it’s covered in webs and you wear there’s more legs on this one than the other. God no, you can’t do this, so you try to think of something to distract her with…
7
You surprise yourself when you tell Muffet that you’d rather have cookies fresh from her oven, her smile disappears and she blinks at you. “Y-you’d rather what?”
8
Taking advantage of her momentary confusion you nod your head and go on to talk about her eyes, you tell that they’re all pretty and you’re absolutely entranced by them. Muffet is getting visibly more and more flushed, a light pink hue warms up her face as you continue your Casanova speech. You lean across the table to look into her beautiful eyes and you accidentally trip over your shoes.

You’re falling. Falling right into Muffet’s eyes, her blush is the last thing you see. Her soft lips against yours is the next thing you feel, a strange sense of bliss fills your mind. Right after you two are done kissing however, Muffet slaps you with all six of her hands and picks you up by the seat of your pants where she kicks you out of the hallway. Her spiders come crawling after you and carry you the rest of the way to the Core.
