| 3 | Lore: Once, Brom was a famous captain in the military of Aedith, renowned for his battle prowess and sharp mind, and on the verge of being promoted to general. However, a soldier's life is uncertain, and tragedy may strike at any moment. | |
| 4 | It was on the eve of his finest hour that Brom was given his fate changing mission. It was supposed to be a simple mission, more for good publicity than practicality. And so Brom took his platoon of soldiers to investigate reports of missing people and sounds in the night near the ruins of Avenphord's Keep, to the east of Aedith, and clear any lurking creatures of the night. What occurred there is unknown, for Brom will say only four words when asked about the screaming heard that night, or why he was the sole survivor. Returning bitter and weathered, Brom declined his promotion, left the military, and doused himself in ale. Forever seeking death since, yet afraid of bringing farther shame to his family by taking his own life, he works now as a mercenary, rushing headlong into any battle without regard to his own safety. | |
