 PERSONALITY:
  ↪ kim daeun is a beagle through and through, no doubt. as the self proclaimed "main beagle" of her group, it is no doubt that she has a puppy like nature that never fails to shine. daeun is a very excited and energetic person who acts like she's on a permanent sugar high. she absolutely cannot seem to sit still, and it often seems like she has too much energy than she knows what to do with. even at two a.m in the morning when she's spent the last six hours practicing none stop, she's still got a bubbly behaviour and is always trying to life the spirits of those around her. she resembles a curious puppy most of the time, with her innocent expressions and her energetic nature. daeun is a resident chatterbox, and is constantly talking, to the point where it is extremely difficult to shut her up. she talks a mile a minute twenty four seven, to the point where her friends and family physically have to put a hand over her mouth just to get to stop talking. if talking was an olympic sport, kim daeun would be the undefeated champion. however, with her chattiness comes her bluntness. she doesn't often have much of a filter when it comes to speaking her mind. if you want someone to always give their honest opinion, you can count on daeun. if she thinks you look ridiculous in that shirt, she'll straight up tell you. if she thinks that what you're about to do is reckless and will get you killed, she'll voice it. she isn't exactly blunt with a malicious intent, she just likes to voice her opinion. daeun can be described as an honest liar. if she doesn't really tend to blurt out her secrets, but if you straight up ask her, she'll be likely to spill everything. if she's pulled a prank, she won't own up to it, until someone straight up asks her if she's the culprit. yet despite her chatty nature, she takes a complete turn whenever she's tired or emotionally and physically exhausted. it is quite obvious when there's something wrong with daeun, because it is one of the only times she'll ever shut up. when she's tired, she's completely out of it, and you'd almost think that she was a completely different person, if not for her appearance. despite being an adult, daeun acts more like a kid more often than not. she is an aegyo enthusiast, and loves doing aegyo for fan service ALL THE TIME. she has a natural cuteness about her that allows her to be cute without even trying. daeun can be a very clingy person, and has a habit of clingy to those she's closest to. it is not uncommon to see her attached to one of her group mates backstage of music shows, and has a habit of clinging to people to the point where people believe she'll have to be surgically removed. she loves to be babied by people older than her, not that she'll ever admit it, and is known to frequently abuse her position as a member of the maknae line (because despite not being the maknae of her group, she acts like it). daeun has the attention span of a five year old, and tends to get sidetracked very easily, especially if what she's doing does not interest her. it is probably best to keep her in eyesight at all times, incase she decides to wander off and get lost somewhere (which has happened before, much to the panic of her manager and group mates). she is a very artistic person, and has an eye for creativity. she really likes to draw in her free time, and often never leaves the dorm without a pen and her sketch book, which has random doodles and mismatched lyrics scrawled all over it. she is also a fan of having aesthetic social media profiles, and is an enthusiast of colour coordinating her profile and matching all the filters. she is a self proclaimed "selfie queen" and takes a million selfies a day, all of which end up being stored on her phone, or occasionally uploaded onto the group's official fancafe.
 
 
 BACKGROUND:
  ↪ daeun was the third born child to a a couple in seoul, and the only daughter out of their three children. daeun grew up being babied by her parents and her two older brothers, simply because her entire family adored having a little girl to dote over. growing up, daeun had her own two body guards, as her brother's were keen on shielding her from the horrors of the world, and being the embarrassing older brothers who always went around to make sure that people were treating their baby sister right. with two older brothers who were clearly interested in making it in the entertainment industry, it is no surprise that daeun followed in their footsteps. daeun idolises both of her brothers and looks up to them more than anyone else in the world. from a young age, she picked up singing and piano lessons, after watching various music videos on the tv, and deciding that she wanted to learn to sing too. she was always closest with both of her brothers growing up, as they always managed to make time for between school and studying and other various activities. she was never really the best academically in her class at school, as she had a short attention span and got sidetracked easily. maths equations and essay questions just didn't appeal to her and she got bored extremely easily. her oldest brother, gongmyung was the first to enter an entertainment company, surprising the rest of the family, but they still supported him completely with his decision. a few years later, her other brother doyoung, made it into sm entertainment and joined the rookie program. at that point, her parents decided to sit daeun down and ask her where she intended to go with her life. her parents had originally wanted to her become a doctor, but didn't want to force her to do something she didn't want to do. with both brothers in the entertainment industry, daeun made it clear to her parents that she wanted to follow in their footsteps, and debut as a singer. her parents supported her wholeheartedly, and encouraged her to audition, sending her out to the auditions that were held at both FANTAGIO and SM ENTERTAINMENT, but unfortunately, daeun never made it past the first round. devastated, she returned home, convinced that she was never going to make it into the industry that her brothers were a part of. her parents encouraged her not to give up, and persuaded her to go an audition for JELLYFISH ENTERTAINMENT, who were holding auditions a few weeks later. deciding that she had nothing left to lose, daeun agreed to go, not having high hopes at being accepted. much to her shock and surprise, jellyfish entertainment saw potential in her and took her on as a trainee, where she trained for two years, developing her vocal skills, before debuting as one of the main vocalists of GUGUDAN in 2016.

 HOW DOES THEIR RELATIONSHIP DEVELOP THOUGHT THE STORY:
  ↪ daeun and doyoung like to consider themselves with an advantage going into HAVEN. as they're siblings, they pretty much know each other back to front, as daeun has known him her entire life. they're both really close, and are bringing in lots of fans for their sibling interactions. they tend to bicker over ridiculous things and roast each other all the time, with no hard feelings involved. they never get mad at each other, and any argument usually last half an hour at most, before they come crawling back, having forgotten that they even argued in the first place. however, towards the middle of the show, they tend to bicker more and more, and being siblings, they don't often hold back their opinions. siblings are known to fight, but sometimes their arguments get out of hand, leaving both of them grumpy with each other, and daeun complaining to the camera men exasperatedly.
  ↪ it doesn't take long for them to make up even after their arguments anyway, since they're siblings and can't stay mad at each other, especially not when they have to spend so much time together while shooting for the show. they don't have issues being awkward or flustered around each other like other partners might, simply because they grew up together. he quickly begins to act like an overprotective big brother trying to protect his younger sister from the world, and can be seen giving glares to anyone who so much as looks at daeun the wrong way. while being on the show, their relationship strengthens, because when you get lost around the world together, it's kind of hard not to become closer.
