As a child Latte had a look about him that nearly looked angelic. Pale skin, nearly white hair and pale blue eyes. His mother was completely enamoured by the beauty of her son, but she was equally frightened that the beautyof her son would get tainted by the outside world. And so she kept him locked in for the most of his childhood and on the rare occasion that he was allowed outside, every inch of his skin was covered. She went to such great lengths to keep her son at home, she forced him into home-schooling.

He spent his days being taught by the best tutors money could buy and became quite the intelligent young man, however his mother wouldn't be satisfied with only that, he had to be musical as well. And as such he mastered the piano. The piano became his passion in life. He devoted himself to music entirely and even went as far as to learn the anatomy of the piano.

Then one day, he came to the realization that he loved pianos more than anything in the world. Even more than his mother. He simply could not bear to hear her voice anymore. He wanted to hear... a piano.

So he made her one.

Carving her bones into the masterfully crafted keys of a piano he built himself, he had never heard a sound so beautiful. And once he had heard the beautiful sound from the keys made of bones, he had to do it again, and again, and again....

He used velvet sacks to get rid of the remains of the corpses, the flesh and muscle that he didn't need, then he dumped them in rivers. The sacks floating ashore gave name to the fearsome murderer “The Velveteer”. Identity unknown.
