Combat Talent: [Speedy Thing Go In] The portal no longer differentiates between conscious and automatic transference. Matter on both sides of the portal behave as though there were no window between them. Water flows through, gasses evacuate; pressure equalizes. Elbert is able to open and close the portal on command; if anything was caught in between, it is severed along the portal's edge.

Noncombat Talent: [Nothing Up My Sleeves] Despite being one of the world's foremost stage magicians that no one has heard of, The Great Transfero is terrible at sleight of hand. It was actually easier for him to fulfill his dreams of completing this trick by mystically tapping into the magical aether itself. +2 to Hat Magic

(Racial) Posh: passive; So you’re leaving high society for a life of adventure? It’s dangerous to go alone. Take this. You can start the game with a magical item that gives +1 to a single Spell you know while you hold it, chosen at character creation. [Gold Earring: +1 to Portal] If held by someone without that skill, the item’s residual magic allows that spell to be cast at DC 8.

(Class) Hat Magic: You can pull off amazing tricks with your hat. You conjure anything small enough to fit through the hat out of it, regardless of length. DC6 to pull out a generic object (e.g. a bouquet of flowers), DC8 to pull out a specific object (e.g. the key to this door), DC10 to pull out an object wider than the hat. Rolling too soon for the same object after failing will cause failure regardless of roll because the universe catches wise to your tricks. Enchanted items can’t be pulled out.

-A fantastic hat.
29
-Worn leather traveling gear and cloak.
30
-An ornate trunk of tacky knick-knacks, magically enchanted to fold out into an impromptu tiny stage, play a short introduction for The Great Transfero's act, pack itself up after, and roll itself around behind him as needed. "The Great Transfero" is printed across the front of the case in bright, bold lettering. This was, in fact, a gag gift from his family, and tends to misbehave hilariously.
31
-A purse with a very meager amount of gold, several credit cards (all maxed out already) and several IOUs he has already written out. (The Great Transfero likes to live the good life, and his career has yet to catch up with his expensive tastes.)

Elbert "The Great" Transfero (not his birth name) was always a fan of stage magic. As a kid he watched the likes of David Copperfoal and Harry Hoofdini effortlessly perform miracles on stage. Amazed by their simple ability to "wow" a crowd, he swore to himself that he would follow their hoofprints and become the Greatest Magician in the World. Unfortunately, Elbert has no practical ability at stage magic, and quickly discovered that it would be the path of least resistance to just get really good at just one trick. He made learning to pull any item out of his hat his focus of study for his final year of a certain school for gifted ponies, and earned an A+ for his senior thesis. Unfortunately, crowds quickly tire of his literal one-trick-pony act, and his career as The Greatest Magician in the World has yet to take off. He has been trying to supplement with tricks of varying tackiness to little effect.

The Great Transfero is a particularly young master of stagecraft, and often finds himself sounding a little higher in voice than he intended, coughing, and resuming in a noticeably forced deeper stage voice. It's like he keeps trying to remember 100 tips he's been told all at once, and gives off an air of general helplessness most of the time he's on stage. His eyes are a muddy hazel, his coat a mellow goldenrod lightly dappled with brown. His mane is jet black with a long streak of white, his tail sharing a similar white streak. His wizard hat is royal purple with yellow stars and moons, conical with a very wide brim, and seems to have an iridescent shimmer about it.
