 Bizhawk: Go to Tools -> Cheats -> Code Converter, paste the code in the Cheat Code text box, click Convert, and you should see the values appear in the sheet

 Game info:
 
 Hold down to jump lower. Hold and release B to spit. The latter can push enemies around and generally doesn't do much for you but the third level has a spot that requires it.
 
 To complete each level, collect the star, which is behind a dude who requires collecting the 20 coins in the level. The levels are open-ish so keep track of where you've been. You'll need to visit every accessible screen (or almost all of them at least).
