Interferences:
2
3
An Interference is a being who, for a variety of reasons, has left their homeworld and has insinuated themselves within the events of others, often changing the course of events that were meant to happen; intentionally or otherwise. This phenomena is intriguing. Except among External Interferences, almost every Interference has left their world for reasons that are singularly unique. Strange portals, time warps, leaving intentionally if the technology or magic is right. And yet, I have the theory that, no matter the means of leaving in the first place, there is a singular force that draws Interferences out into the multiverse at large. As of yet, I have no evidence to support this hypothesis, and whether or not this force always existed, if it does at all, or was created upon the appearance of the Original Interference, Alexander Karsath. Unfortunately, I have been unable to locate Karsath to discover any more information on this theory.

There are three known types of Interferences: External, Internal, and Canon.

External Interferences appears to be among the most common, and are people from 'the real world' (though what is and is not real becomes much more of a point of view in this multiverse). These people often gain odd powers and magics upon becoming Interferences. This may also be related to the unknown force touched on previously. The first of these, and believed to be the first Interference of all kinds, was Alexander Karsath, the Lockshield Master. It is unknown why no External appeared before him.

Then there are Internal Interferences. Internals are not from the real world, but are in fact from various worlds within the multiverse. These are different from Canons, in that while from the worlds of video games, they are not known characters from those games. In fact, many are completely unconnected to the protagonists of their homeworlds, simply one among many that happen to live on the same world. Like Externals, this type of Interference often seem to have unique abilities, whether or not gained on their homeworld or upon becoming an Interference.

Finally, there are Canon Interferences. Canons are known characters from video games, whether protagonist, antagonist, or minor character. Though, obviously, retaining the abilities they had before, sometimes they are capable of gaining new ones once out among the multiverse, whether through magic or technology.

Awareness:
14
15-
Though having no official name that this author is aware of, I have named them 'The Enlightened' so that their purpose is clear. For unknown reasons, some people have, despite not being Interferences, knowledge of the outside worlds and the Interfereing phenomenon. Though the 'why' is unknown, there is a pattern among them: they are usually among the most wise and knowledgeable among their kind on their homeworld; though morality does not seem to be large factor in this, as there have been several documented villains who are Enlightened. The most prominent of the Enlightened, perhaps, is the sorcerer Yen Sid, who lives in his tower hidden nearby Twilight Town.

Awareness is a concept that applies to only Internal and Canon Interferences, as Externals have awareness immediately due to being from the real world. Awareness is the knowledge that, in the alternate universe that is the 'real world', their world is only a fiction. Interferences have a variety of reactions to this knowledge, and therefore it is this author's advice to be careful about explaining it.

World Properties:
22
23
Different worlds, due to their technological, magical, and even aesthetic standing, may have different affects on Interferences who visit them. This may only be a temporary change in clothing (such as the spookier forms of Halloween Towns) to even an entire change in species, such as a world where only humans exist, sentient creatures of other biological forms may be forced into a human shape, as well as vice versa. A world of high technology and no magic may take away mystical abilities from Interferences, and magical worlds may do the same to those with technology. Some may allow both, and some may allow neither as well. An Interference must be careful when entering worlds such as this, as it could lead to inconvenient situations.
