-	๑ em's sole reason for existing was because her mom wanted a "hot summer fling" during her trip to france and her father couldn't resist a doe-eyed korean girl. like the snapping of your fingers, ki jieun was pregnant a week later. nine months after that, em was born into the world. jieun and cedric married in seoul a year later before jieun gave birth again to em's little brother, jaeha (no french name because they were in korea). their parents' marriage had been a rocky one from the start and it wasn't long before they divorced and cedric returned to france. toddler em did not take to this very well as she was a daddy's girl to the core. as she grew older, the phone calls eventually became less blubbery and snotty (she still keeps in regular contact with him even as an adult). when em and jaeha reached preteen years, their mother remarried. em didn't particularly NOT like her new stepfather, but she was hesitant to accept another father figure in her life. although she and her brother bicker CONSTANTLY, she is probably the closest to him. academically, em made average grades. she only really tried in classes that interested her, which were not that many. despite her lackluster report cards, she was very involved socially at school. she was apart of several clubs and was voted "class clown" all four years of high school.

 	๑ yuelan did not think too highly of him at first. after all, anyone who was sicheng's friend was most likely annoying. plus, she just has a general dislike for frat boys due to their notorious reputations. he was hot though and for once, she wished she had a bit of makeup on.
 HIS FIRST IMPRESSIONS :
 	๑ taeyong didn't particularly like or dislike em. sicheng introduced her as his older sister and taeyong recognized her from english. she didn't say much to him and he didn't say much to her either. he did briefly think about complimenting her hair, which was so out of no where for him.
 
 HOW YOU ACT AROUND HIM :
 	๑ BEG - in the beginning, yuelan only refers to taeyong as "the hot one" whenever she speaks about him to sicheng (which creeps him the fuck out) as she can't even recall his name (which is embarrassing because he comes over almost every weekend). she does, however, finally realize that they've been in the same english class this whole time.
 	๑ MID - when they're paired for an english project together, she learns his name again. the first thing she notices about him was that her initial impression of him was extremely wrong. he is so *quiet* and even a bit awkward (which is kind of cute). even though she usually hates being paired types like him, yuelan finds that she and taeyong actually work quite well with each other. his calmness balances out her vivacity perfectly. they quickly become friends through the project (much to sicheng's disgust).

 	๑ MID - when taeyong realizes that yuelan is his partner, he is honestly relieved. at least it is someone he kind of knows rather than a total stranger. he finds it funny watching her flail around for his name before finally showing mercy and telling her. he doesn't mind that she's energetic and loud at all (even though it was a little bit overwhelming at first). in fact, he likes the contrast - though sometimes he can see that she's faking it.
