+BACKGROUND : born and raised in busan to a pair of loving (albeit busy) parents, from the moment she was able to even breathe, she has been inseparable from her twin sister, jinah. even through a steady absence of their parents, who lacked not affection, but time with their children, the two girls have been two peas in a pod, a yin and yang situation where noheul's happy-go-lucky streak balanced jinah's seriousness. for the entirety of their elementary and junior high schooling, they tended to stick together and not let anyone or anything distance them -- although, noheul did have a knack for garnering attention from everyone with her overall outgoing and happy personality. once the pair entered high school, they didn't expect anything to change; neither of them expected the stark contrast between how they acted to be the reason they became closer to strangers than best friends, but unfortunately, it was. in freshman year, noheul's boisterous and bright ways caused her to gain MANY new friends, while jinah drifted away and found her own group of friends who shared the same interests as her. and before she knew it, noheul had landed herself a boyfriend: a cute japanese boy named nakamoto daiki. to her, he was perfect: attractive, smart, and athletic, AND he laughed at her jokes! -- sure, he could have been a little less serious, but after a while, that particular trait became endearing. almost everyone was surprised when they announced their relationship, because she isn't exactly the type to focus on boys instead of school. even jinah couldn't hide her shock at first, and it seemed a bit strange to noheul how she couldn't get over it, but eventually she chalked it up to separation anxiety. (she then proceeded to assure her sister that nobody would ever take her place in her heart.) daiki and noheul's relationship lasted for two years -- two blissful years, in which she spent a lot of her time with him, and didn't even notice how the animosity between her sister and her had grown exponentially. she was stuck in a haze, until one day, completely on accident, she discovered the reason the two siblings had a silent sort of fall out. it was because, unbeknownst to noheul, jinah had been completely and totally in love with daiki but didn't say anything because she didn't want to ruin her sister and her relationship. to noheul, her sister had ALWAYS been above her boyfriend in priorities, and as soon as she found out, she broke up with him -- despite being totally in love with him. he protested A LOT when she told him out of the blue that she wanted to break up, for reasons she couldn't disclose; jinah was also extremely confused when she found out they weren't a thing anymore, not knowing that it happened for her sake. after what she considered a messy breakup, noheul made a promise to herself: swear off boys, and focus ONLY on her studies / getting into a good university after high school. no more trouble, right? wrong. because somewhere along the way, daiki's cousin came and "fell in love" with her... and now he won't stop bothering her? honestly, she just wants him to leave her alone for the next 10 centuries. she literally can't stand him, and no, it TOTALLY DOESN'T have anything to do with the fact that every time she sees his face, she's reminded of daiki. no, definitely no connection.

+PERSONALITY : to put it in the simplest terms possible, ahn noheul burns as bright as the sun. she's ALWAYS happy, and everyone knows it -- mostly because she's definitely not afraid to show it. she's never seen without a smile, and her joy is so contagious that it's something akin to the flu. noheul is the type that is so outgoing it's upfront and in your face; she'll never hesistate to start up a conversation with anyone, even if they seem like the type that could be a serial killer. for most people who come into contact with her, she can be a bit overbearing and too much to handle. an accurate (and slightly... interesting) way to describe her is like prescription medicine: great and helpful in small, controlled doses, but when given all at once, can be like a fatal overload. despite her sort of scary (in the unconventional way, of course) persona, noheul can only be described as the type of person who is practically impossible to hate -- no matter how hard you try. she's extremely kind (a trait that has basically nothing to do with the fact that she cannot, for the life of her, say no to anything) and definitely exhibits it to even strangers who she might never talk to more than once in her life, and literally does everything in her power to make sure no one feels left out, no matter the situation. she's the type to get involved in things that aren't even for her to stick her nose in; and sure, she's a bit nosy for wanting to make sure everyone gets the best they can, but that's just the type of person she is, and she has absolutely NO shame in her actions. one thing that practically everyone knows about noheul is how chatty she is. she talks a lot, enough to keep a conversation going with even an inanimate object, and it seems as if she always know what to say (which is why many people say she gives the best advice possible.) talking a lot and being loud usually always go hand in hand, and for noheul, there's no exception. she has a tendency to use her outside voice all the time, and most people close to her have grown accustomed to her yelling when she gets overexcited... which is basically always. she's a very curious person, and is enthused by even the smallest things. because of her fascination with everything and everything, she has a sort of innocence about her that nobody can deny. she might be smart, grades wise, but she's very naive in other matters, which often leads to others (namely her sister) wanting to protect her from particularly nasty truths. its not a lie that among the people who know of her, she's said to shine with a metaphorical pure light, almost as if she's an angel -- and when you consider she knows literally everyone in her school and community, it's a pretty popular opinion. her childlike purity often leads people to coo over how cute she is, and its common knowledge that ahn noheul is synonymous with adorable as hell. despite knowing lots of people, and talking to all of them, she doesn't partake in anything that involves gossip: listening to, sharing, spreading, and so on. she isn't the type to be swayed easily, and contrary to popular opinion, DOESN'T believe everything she reads and/or hears. noheul advocates strongly for equal treatment, and just because those around her discriminate against a certain person, place, thing, etc doesn't mean she will. another HUGE part of her personality is how fucking funny she is. only those select few who are actually, truly close to her learn of this particular trait, but she's actually probably one of the funniest people you will ever meet. she considers "cracking jokes" her only hobby and official job -- and the one's she has up her sleeve are actually funny, and not corny. her favorite part of the day is saying something funny and making others laugh, because it makes her feel as if she's contributing something to their lives. her sense of humor is gr8 with a capital eight, and often even she ends up laughing at her jokes (although she tries to avoid doing that in public because of how cringey it is.) everything noheul does is to make someone else smile, because even the smallest lift of the lips can improve someone's day exponentially -- and hey, if she can do that, then she can do anything, right?

 HIS PERSONALITY : being born and raised in osaka, japan for most of his life, before moving to korea right before high school, to say that nakamoto yuta is the type who adapts easily wouldn't be anything close to a lie. if there's something that he is, it's flexible (in all senses of the world); after only three years in a foreign country, he's become fluent in the language, and risen to the top of his high school's social hierarchy, a fact which may or may not have had something to do with his legendary good looks and prodigal soccer skills. he's considered popular with the girls because of his "strong and silent" persona. unfortunately for them, that stereotype couldn't be further from the truth about him. yuta is actually quite the opposite -- he's just a bit shy at first. he's a very curious child, and is fascinated by a whole new world that he never knew existed outside of his home country of japan. he asks a lot of questions, and even though he knows some of them make him come off as stupid, he's okay with that. he also has a great sense of humor, and although he does love telling jokes, he loves hearing something that makes him laugh much more. this actually isn't that hard for him to come across, though, when you consider he laughs at everything. everything. yuta is the type who, once you really, truly know him, you discover that he's actually lowkey savage. the sass that he possesses is sort of subtle, and displayed inconspicuously in offhanded remarks and sarcasm-laced comments.
 
 HOW YOU ACT AROUND HIM :
    ↝ out of all the things she could have been expecting when they first met, him confessing his love for her was definitely NOT it. she had already been regretting agreeing to tutor the stranger named nakamoto yuta because she knew he was daiki's cousin, and had only agreed because she had a hard time saying no when her teacher approached her about the prospect. but, after he tells her that he's in love with her... and continues to tell her, she decides that even though she's really nice, she won't tutor him anymore. thus, she decides to ignore him and practically runs in the opposite direction every time she sees him. if she was a bystander to the situation, though, she would actually find it quite amusing. it takes a while (and a lot of convincing from her best friend, doyoung) she gives in and continues to tutor him, ONLY if he'll stop declaring his undying love every second and actually pay attention to her.
    ↝ after a while with him, though, she won't lie -- he's actually quite endearing. if she's able to see past the fact that every time she looks at his (very handsome) face, she sees her ex-boyfriend, she'd actually admit she can stand him, and that she considers him a friend. she's still slightly bothered that has a ginormous crush on her (and has for a while) because honestly, she doesn't really see how and why he does. you'd never catch her even muttering it, but she might actually... like him back? the thought itself is preposterous enough to make her shiver, and she avoids even thinking about such an option. the mere idea of such a concept makes her feel as if she's betraying daiki, even though they no longer are a thing and she has moved on since then. instead, she tries to live happily as she watches all the friends around her fall in love with guys they swore they never would. eventually, though, it becomes too much and she feels as if she's suffocating on the feelings -- she's only able to work up the courage to confess HER undying love (a change, for once!) with a very helpful shove from her sister, jinah, and her new boyfriend: daiki. (turns out the whole time noheul had been dating him, he couldn't really decide which twin he wanted... i guess its a good thing she's a forgiving person...)
 
 HOW HE ACTS AROUND YOU :
    ↝ from the moment he entered high school and was greeted by the bright (and very pretty) face of ahn noheul, he'd been infatuated. even before she began dating his cousin, he'd been certain that she was the girl for him, and nothing since that instance had been able to hinder him from such a thought. but, he wasn't the malicious type, and instead of stepping in while she was in a committed relationship, he chose to sit back and watch from afar. once they broke up, though, he saw it as an opening. he had overheard her discussing how she had become a student tutor at the beginning of the year, and decided that it was the perfect opportunity to get close to her. so, he failed a few assignments in bio here and a few tests there until the teacher decided he needed a tutor; even though he was still able to keep a steady d in the class (it wasn't like he didn't ACTUALLY know the subject!) he knew the officials would get him a tutor, specifically the best tutor -- because being the star player and team captain of the soccer team, they couldn't let him fail. when he showed up for their first session, he had been meaning to control himself, honestly. but she had just looked so cute he couldn't resist blurting out his confession. luckily, she took it as a joke and ignored his feelings. unluckily, she decided she couldn't tutor him anymore. thank god he was good friends with doyoung, aka his savior.
    ↝ after spending a lot of time with her (time in which he moved past being the little creep he was upon their first meeting and actually acting like a normal person) and getting to know her beyond the little crush he had on her for two years, yuta is able to confirm that yes, he really, actually IS in love with her. for realsies. unfortunately, this advancements makes his tongue much tighter than it had been previously, and he's adamant not to let her know that he really really really really (like really) likes her. so he continues to dance around the subject and her, while she does the same thing, and they're stuck in an irrefutable cycle known as skinny love. everyone around them ends up falling in love with each other (yeah, go best friends!) while noheul and yuta just... avoid the topic of how they feel for each other. out of all their friends, they're actually the last to get together -- and it takes A LOT OF FUCKING HELP FROM OTHERS to get them to even think about how their relationship could be if they just sucked it up. luckily for them (more like for everyone around them!!!) they finally get over themselves and confess their love. for realsies.
