   ☽ zehn mingxia was born in beijing, china to muggle parents. she lived a happy life with her tightknit family. had always been the kind and charming girl that she was. and then finally, at the ripe age of 5, she discovered magic. though the term "wizard" was foreign to her then, mingxia knew that she wasn't mundane. she discovered her powers on a random day when she somehow levitated her mother's favorite mug and dropped it on the floor. she didn't tell her parents about it because it's, well, weird, and she didn't want them to think she was some kind of freak. plus, she was 100% sure that her parents were mundane. mingxia was just afraid they were going to kick her out or something. because no one else in the household showed signs of odd abilities, mingxia had very little education regarding magic. she grew up hiding them from her family, coming up with reasons that masked her abilities. it was no wonder just how much of a great liar she is now. she practically grew up lying. often that she didn't know how to control her abilities but thank god it never went overboard. her family only found out when she received the letter, and that was only because she had no other choice. her parents were too dumbfounded to give a proper reaction. in the end, they were okay with it, albeit a little (a lot) mindfucked, but okay with it.
 
   ☽  when she first arrived at hogwarts, mingxia was nothing but confused. it was a whole other world. she didn't know anything or anyone, and was a bit lost (and scared). being muggle-born has a lot of downsides. she had no experience with the wizard culture or anything else, for that matter. the first few weeks were rough for her. she couldn't be the lively girl she had always been. she was afraid of being judge because she was muggleborn, so she didn't mention that to anyone. but eventually she got used to it, she made quite a few friends and slowly, mingxia adjusted to the hogwarts life.

+   ☽  mingxia is as sweet as candy. she's made up of quirks that makes her odd, but in a good way of course.  she's a softie at heart and you'd find her going weak for the smallest things (like puppies). she doesn't know how to say no to people because she's just that nice. people would be surprised at how smart she is. mingxia is really hard working when it comes to her studies. this also because she wants to prove to people, and herself, that a muggle born is just as capable as a pureblood. she actually spends a lot of time studying and she's nowhere near a troublemaker, but there are times where she just needs some fresh air and so she would sneak out of her room late at night and walk around campus. she's very cautious, especially around foes and anything even remotely fishy. she acts on impulse whenever she encounters something bad, which can either lead to a really good scenario to a really bad one. she's charming. she knows how to smooth her words with people, no matter who. some would she's kind of entrancing. there's just this approachable and warm aura that makes it very easy to talk to her. add to the fact that she's quite easy on the eyes, too. however, mingxia is the clumsiest person you can ever meet. she'll literally trip on anything or sometimes it's nothing at all. mingxia's luck when it comes to guys is to be envied because she's somehow always stuck in a drama worthy situation and it's not even on purpose. it just comes out of nowhere that she has girls dying to be her. her encounters with (quite attractive) guys has always been downright teeth rotting and cliche (like tripping and being caught by the school's jock, accidentally falling asleep on the cute guy from transfiguration's shoulder during an assembly, you name it). but despite how easy she has it with boys, mingxia has never been in a serious actual relationship. you'd find her falling on her ass more than falling for guys. though she has countless of knight in shining armor already, mingxia is still waiting for the perfect one. the attention she gets is nice, but sometimes she just has to disregard them. because of that, some would label her as "hard to get", and mingxia doesn't know if she should be proud of this or not.  when it comes to friendship, she is very loyal. you can trust that she'd always have your side no matter what.

 wand: made of boxwood and has a core of sphinx hair. 8 and 3/4 inches long and dark colored. the wand only answers fully and properly to mingxia. it'll still work if someone else uses it. it's rather manipulative. instead of casting the wanted spell by the caster, the wand does a few twists and ends up casting a spell that contradicts the caster's preferred spell. if you're not mingxia, then you'd be fooled by a magical stick. you see, the wand is very loyal to mingxia.

 how you meet: they meet late at night when mingxia is on the rare occasions sneaking out of her room to walk around campus and think. she finds herself outside, more specifically by the quidditch field. mingxia spots a figure flying around and jumps to conclusions. she assumes that it's a foe and goes all [insert spell that makes people off balance here lmao]. long story short, the figure flying around wasn't a foe, but a boy who shouldn't be laughing after she blasted him off his broomstick making him fall on his ass. but yes, he was laughing, too high on the adrenaline mingxia supposed. all she was thinking was "who the fuck flies around the quidditch field in the middle of the night?", but all he did was smile up at her as he lied on the grass and proceeded to ramble about how fun that was and if he could do it again. it was kind of something, she thought, to have an attractive boy fall on his ass because of you.

     ☽  vibrant. all over the place. odd. maybe even odder than her. the good kind of odd though. she's more or less overwhelmed. she thinks that it's the first time a guy has caught her this off guard. they met late at night and yet he still acts as if it's noon. he has the energy of a guy high on caffeine 24/7. she was convinced that he's on drugs and honestly wouldn't be surprised if he is.  she knows just how much of a prankster he is and she tries to be wary around him. she supposes that he's quite... adorable. like a bunny. mingxia likes bunnies.

    ☽  this is going to sound cheesy, but just one look at was enough for him to decide that he wanted to be a costant company in her life. he thought that was cute –– and not just appreance wise. the way she carries herself, talked, giggled when she looked down at him lying on the grass when they first met. he loved that she was charming, but he already knew that even if she payed him attention, she was going to be a tough nut to crack.
 
 how you act around him: mingxia is overwhelmed by his presence. he's too happy that sometimes she thinks he's on crack. she's more or less confused whenever the boy is around. she didn't know if she should pepper spray him or like, put him on a leash. she admits that he is a handful, but she manages to stay unfazed and be her kind and charming. it's not like she hasn't had guys follow her around like a puppy, so when he starts doing it mingxia is unfazed. the problem with him, though, is that he won't stop!!!! it was annoying at first, but mingxia quickly learned to live with it. but she does warm up to him after a while. she finds herself not wanting him to leave her side and smiling at his jokes more often, no matter how cringeworthy they are. even lets him call her ming, that hideous nickname he has for her. she's kind of surprised that he's stuck around this long even with her always dismissing him. that alone makes mingxia more grateful for his presence. and maybe she starts liking it whenever he ruffles her hair, or puts his arm around her, or pinches her cheeks. mingxia starts noticing whenever he acts up and gets kind of verbally aggressive if he doesn't tell her what's wrong. mingxia just likes him a little too much, and she hates herself for it because she doesn't know if he's going to be "the right one".
 
 how he acts around you: boy, he is a  goofball. he is still his usual happy self. whenever he ran into her in the hallways, he would always make a big show of yelling out her name and making sure everyone heard, and then proceeds to follow her around until she's pissed enough. he likes to pinch her cheeks, ruffle her hair, is downright clingy to be honest. as cliche as it sounds, it's just something about her that makes him do even more stupid things. and of course, he makes sure to boast about his awesome and successful pranks. his fondness for her grows as the days goes by and this is where it gets frustrating. he actually gets flustered whenever she's around now, suddenly so self-conscious and scared that he's going to make a fool of himself. he starts looking for her during school hours, makes excuses just so he can see her, looks at her from afar. he tones down the skinship because even the slightest touch is enough to make his stomach do backflips. he's never felt something like this before and it kind of gives him a hard time.

   ☽  let's just say mingxia ended up walking in on him changing and spots the huge ass scar on his shoulder. she asks him how he got it and she goes making a big deal about it. taehyung was reluctant at first but he tells her about the time he got bitten by a werewolf and confesses that he is, in fact, one. this is a touchy subject for him and he's never openly talked about it with anyone. the fact that he told mingxia must mean that he's quite,,,, fond of her. he was afraid that she was going to stop talking to him but she thinks it's pretty cool.
