 Alina is sitting in her dorm room in the middle of the floor, a meditative position while there seems to be toads chilling out allover the room. Probably in the middle of some training, but she forgot to turn off her ringer!
 <Alina>: [now begins the game of who calls who first]
 Skyler goes to bed and never talks to Alina again]
 <Alina>: [ggnore]
 <Alina>: [reverb feel free to walk in for a moment to see your dorm filled with amphibians]
 Skyler sighs, overwhelmed by the fact he may be playing a dead man's guitar. Even if it was /perfectly/ in tune
 JohnQuint tosses a ball of paper at Skyler
 Skyler reads it
 <JohnQuint>: "you okay, man?"
 <Skyler>: Ugh, sorry. Not really. This guitar was Tony's.
 JohnQuint tosses two notes at Skyler
 Skyler picks them both up in the order of when they were tossed
 <JohnQuint>: "I'm sure he wouldn't mind you using his guitar"
 <JohnQuint>: "A music critic, on the other hand...."
 Reverb is sitting on her bed, listening to music.
 Alina lightly floats off the floor, a few of the toads taking a hop towards her and one of them landing on top of Reverb. Croak.
 Skyler crumbles up one of the paper balls into a compact ball and throws it back at John with a smirk
 Reverb picks up the toad and puts it down before her cat can reach it.
 <Skyler>: "You should write standup."
 JohnQuint holds Pitters to take the brunt of the paper ball hit
 <Skyler>: "Because I'm gonna stand up and /leeeaaaaaave/~"
 JohnQuint tosses a note at Skyler
 <JohnQuint>: "Oh, alright. I'll just lie here..."
 <Reverb>: "Are the toads important?"
 <JohnQuint>: "With a sleeping bear..."

 <Alina>: "Yes. They're integral" she says, not opening her eyes or turning
 <Skyler>: "You know I've gotta prep myself for an encounter with a plausibly mindfucked Tony. You /saw/ the clearing in the woods. That was him, the minute after being taken in."
 <Skyler>: "Now, imagine what he can do more than a week later."
 <Alina>: "Finding numerous cane toads and bringing them here was.... a challenge, I admit. But its needed to regain something I've lost"
 <JohnQuint>: "Yea, I know. I think I remember saving your ass from one of those things"
 <Reverb>: "Well, keep 'em in check, cause Murasaki's got that hunter glare in her eyes."
 <Skyler>: "Baaaah. I'm playing political now, so you don't have to from now on."
 <JohnQuint>: "suuuuuure. Ya don't need the explosive Gaellic Irish grim reaper, now that you are playing Milk, eh?"
 <Alina>: "They're poisonous when threatened. I... probably should have done this somewhere else"
 <Skyler>: "...Milk? I don't get the reference."

 <Skyler>: "...No. But I'm gonna take that as a compliment."
 <Reverb>: "I'll just get Mumu to wander around the school then. Wake me up if she steals anything again, alright?"
 <Alina>: "Alright. Sweet dreams Frankie. Hopefully I'll be done with this soon if things don't mess up"
 <Reverb>: "Yeah. For all the vampire stuff I still have the normal sleep pattern..." she mumbled, shutting her eyes.
 Skyler walks over to put on - god forbid - a normal t-shirt over his bandages
 <Skyler>: "But, seriously. I think I need to clear my head for a while, and the stench of rotten salmon isn't doing it for me."
 <JohnQuint>: "Rotten Salmon?"
 <Skyler>: "Bear poon."
 <Skyler>: "I'm making fun of the fact we live with a talking bear, John."
 <JohnQuint>: "He's fiiiiiine"
 <Skyler>: "Yeeeeaaaaaah I'm gonna go for a walk, or something."
 Skyler takes his bag and exits with a wave
 JohnQuint sighs, as he pets Pitters
 Skyler goes for a walk and never talks to Alina again for the rest of his life]
 Alina forgets Skyler exists]
 Skyler has a perfectly fine, healthy life now]
 Alina suddenly stops floating, plopping down onto the floor as the toads lose their focus and begin hopping in different directions
 <Alina>: "damnit!" she curses under her breath
 Alina grumbles, picking up her things. "Two hours... two hours until I can try again"

 Skyler decides to do something he TOTALLY WOULDN'T DO UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES
 Skyler picks up his phone and gives Alina a call
 Alina sighs, hearing her phone ringing and calling up
 <Alina>: "Hello?"
 <Skyler>: "...Heeeeeey."
 <Alina>: "Oh, Sky. Been a while since I last saw you. How've you been?"
 Skyler more or less figured this sort of thing had spread around and realizes he hasn't had to fully explain the ordeal more than once or twice
 <Skyler>: "Uh... y-y'know, been better. How are you?"
 <Alina>: "I know what happened to you, all of that. Sounds like it was pretty bad. I am fine" she says a bit coldly as a toad hops by
 <Skyler>: "Right. Sorry, it's just an awkward subject to get on for me. I don't wanna sound like I'm pandering for pity when I talk about it, it sounds a lot worse than it is."
 <Alina>: "Want to meet or something? whatever it is that we're supposed to do"
 <Skyler>: "It may be awkward, and we can still talk for sure, but can we actually keep sparring? I'm still on duty for a special mission."
 <Alina>: "We can talk, if you're really up for it a sparring match wouldn't hurt"
 <Skyler>: "I'd like to get out of my last hoorah alive."
 <Alina>: "Then I'll offer all the help I can. Same place as always?"
 <Skyler>: "Yup. Be there in half an hour."
 <Alina>: "See you then, Sky"
 Alina hangs up, spending some time cleaning up her toad situation before quickly dressed into her fighting gear and heading down to the dojo
 Skyler is there first, due to a lack of toads on his part. He still managed to get clean bandages and his gear in order, too.
 <Alina>: "rahat, those bandages still hurt?" she asks, walking up to him
 <JohnQuint>: rahat?]
 <Alina>: [romanian for crap]
 <Skyler>: "Rahwha? Uh, not as much as they used to."
 <Skyler>: [I always forget to imagine alina with an accent]
 <Alina>: [sound like dracula yo]
 <JohnQuint>: blackula?]
 <Skyler>: [qt]
 <Alina>: "So you won't get hurt too bad from the sparring, eh?" she taps his shoulder as she walks into the dojo
 <JohnQuint>: yeah....]
 <JohnQuint>: Skyler, how long has it been since your surgery?]
 <Alina>: [I am now imagining a sassy black alina]
 <Skyler>: "That's not really what's important right now" he says, rubbing his shoulder gingerly and lacking the usual cocky vaguely flirtatious vibe he (was attempting to) give off before
 <Alina>: "Alright. No nonesense then" she drops her nice sounding voice like a sack of bricks, becoming chillingly serious in an instant
 Skyler nods and presses a button, beginning the gong countdown from 30. He walks to the center of the dojo
 Alina takes her place in the center, closing her eyes and taking a breath before opening them again. They look a lot more soulless and weary than before.
 <Skyler>: "Y'know, maybe some actual lessons would help somewhere down the line."
 Skyler positions himself in his usual fighting stance, looking almost grim as he does
 <Alina>: "I could teach you what I know. Its mostly informal but it'll save you in a pinch"
 <Skyler>: "It's worked well enough for you so far."
 <Skyler>: -GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG-
 Alina immediately leaps forward, landing on a handstand and springing out with a flying dropkick with both of her legs
 Skyler hops to the side, and the tries to elbow drop her while she's on the ground
 Alina rolls out as quickly as she can, narrowly missing the elbow as she comes back to her feet
 Skyler grunts and he hands, deciding not to even get back on his feet but rather following her roll by lunging out for a grapple
 Alina puts her hands out, trying as best she can to minimize his grip as he topples on top of her. She's quick to use her knee to try to knock him away
 Skyler stifles some sort of vocalization as he's kneed off her, rolling back
 Alina flips forward, swinging her leg in a downwards axe kick from above
 Skyler rolls to the side and back onto his feet
 Alina spikes forward, swinging a heavy haymaker at him while he's still getting his barings
 Skyler ducks his head and raises his arms to take the attack
 Alina begins jabbing forward with her other hand, trying to keep the heat on
 Skyler attempts to pull the "POWER THROOUUUGH" maneuver, raises his arm for a fierce haymaker of his own, but involuntarily cringes from a blow to his unprotected pectoral
 Alina gets clipped by the haymaker, making her stumble back and nearly trip
 Skyler recovers in time to rush forward and catch her by the collar, yanking her back and smashing their heads together
 Alina is crashed into his head, sending her into a temporary daze as she tries to regain her senses
 Skyler lets out a highly out of character guttural roar as he keeps his grip on her, transferring it to her shoulder, where he forces her torso down and into his rising knee
 Alina takes the brunt of the hit to the chest, winding her. Strangely enough, though, she grabs hold of his leg and holds it in place. Alina uses it at a grappling point to swerve and throw him down to the ground
 Skyler is rather easily thrown off balance, being grappled to the floor
 Alina presses the edge of her elbow against his throat, putting down a bit of pressure but not enough to fully withdraw air. Her other limbs try to hold him down as best she can
 Skyler tries to writhe out of her grasp and lash out, only to go into a coughing fit as he presses against her elbow too much
 Alina relinquishes her elbow to let him breathe, letting out a low growl
 <Alina>: "Better?"
 Skyler rolls onto his side to continue coughing for a bit, dying down after a few seconds
 <Skyler>: "G-getting there."
 <Alina>: "Good. Put your guard back up then" she reassumes her fighting stance
 Skyler stands himself back up and does exactly that
 Alina approaches, faking him out with a jab to the head before she thrusts out her heel at his knee to throw him completely off balance
 Skyler 's lack of balance has been successfully prayed upon. He falls froward, grabbing onto her shoulders simply to support himself
 Alina grabs him, giving him a slight hug to really mess with him before loosening it and sweeping her leg at his and leveraging his body crashing belly first into the floor
 Skyler is sent through a complicated whirlwind of emotions before he's off his feet and bodyslammed into the floor
 Alina doesn't follow up, stepping back and letting him get up
 Skyler considers all of the various comments he can attempt to make, but he decides that the combination of circumstance and past success when attempting banter to simply get up without a word
 Alina puts up her guard, figuring this fight will not be much help to him if he's constantly having to be on the defending side
 Skyler cracks his back and gets back into a fighting stance. He sends a quick jab at Alina's stomach, and within the same instant his other hand comes from her peripheral to grab the side of her face and throw her into the ground
 CrazyWitch blocks the punch to the stomach with one of her forearms, grunting before she's grabbed by her head out of left field and thrown down to the ground with an umpf
 Skyler steps forward, but then decides not to follow up on this one
 CrazyWitch rolls upwards, wasting no time to retake her offensive after a hit like that and headbutting into his stomach
 Skyler lets out a loud gasp of pain and lurches forward, before wrapping his arms around her torso. He lifts her up, head facing downwards, and does a small hop to bring her down into the mat
 CrazyWitch crashes down onto the mat, grunting as she lays a second to get her senses back then tries to roll away
 Skyler hops after her, leading as he goes to land a successful elbow drop
 CrazyWitch lets out a small yelp, the elbow drop connecting rather well on her
 Skyler continues by flipping her onto her stomach and pinning her arms behind her
 CrazyWitch looks back over her shoulder, gritting her teeth as she tries to wriggle out of his pin
 Skyler foots his foot on her head and uses his other leg to better support his weight over her arms
 <Skyler>: *puts his foot]
 <CrazyWitch>: "d-damn, you've learned" she grumbles, trying to kick her legs out to escape
 Skyler keeps her in the hold for a few seconds to assert the fact her kicking won't help, then lets her go
 <Skyler>: "Out of necessity, sadly."
 CrazyWitch rolls out, standing up and catching her breath. "That was a good move on your part. Against an enemy with no other tricks up their sleeves you would have had them done"
 <Skyler>: "Heh, thanks."
 Skyler takes a moment to regain his serious composure and goes back into a fighting stance
 CrazyWitch spins back around, delivering the swiftest and most concussive backhand to Skyler out of the blue she can
 Skyler blocks it with a raised forearm, suddenly taking a wild expression. Within the same movement he steps forward to position one foot behind hers to keep it from moving while he uses his other arm to clothesline her neck and throw her down on the ground
 CrazyWitch falls backwards to the ground, rolling back up as fast as she can to swing out the edge of her shin into his side
 Skyler coughs a little bit, wiping his mouth off with a groan and losing whatever adrenaline boost he just recieved
 CrazyWitch swings a jab out while he coughs, keeping his head focused on her hands while she spins and swings another kick at him. Alina follows it up with another jab and continues a pattern onslaught
 Skyler is taking the hits like a champ. Which is to say, he's taking all of them, and can only manage to block as he's pushed back further and further
 CrazyWitch in the middle of her assault she sweeps up her leg harshly, completely throwing him into the air
 Skyler falls onto his side with a thud and a grunt
 CrazyWitch swings a punt to send him rolling
 Skyler is sent rolling. He holds his hand out to stop and leans over his knees on the mat to catch his breath, but ends up catching another coughing fit
 CrazyWitch sweeps down with an arm, locking around his torso and lifting him up to throw him to the side
 Skyler lets out a gasp of pain and motions with his hands a variety of signals that generally mean "stop", ad he gets up and leans on the wall to catch his breath with a harsh rasp to his breathing
 <CrazyWitch>: "...Are you alright?" she begins to sound genuinely kind again
 Skyler looks up at her to give a weak smile and a nod, until he suddenly falls onto one knee and vomits a bit of blood
 <Skyler>: "...No. -gasp- N-no, fuck."
 CrazyWitch quickly rushes over to him, leaning down to support him
 <CrazyWitch>: "What hurts?"
 Skyler holds his hand over his mouth for a second, fearful of another batch, before he stops holding his breath and the his breathing dies down to non-concerning volumes
 Skyler then fiddles around on his back and his bandages all unravel neatly, to reveal his scars. At this point they're mostly just large patches of soft, discolored skin, with some healed stitching on them
 <CrazyWitch>: "la naiba" she gently runs her hand along them, a light soothing touch as she tries to feel for what is happening
 <CrazyWitch>: [no that wasn't a spell. la naiba means damnit]
 Skyler is fine on the surface, aside from some very minor bruises.
 <Skyler>: "...Th-that some sort of spell?"
 <CrazyWitch>: "No, I'm just swearing forgive me. Its internal.... Can you lie down?"
 Skyler nods and lies down, positioning himself away from blood vomit for obvious reasons
 CrazyWitch brings her hands together, mumbling some tongue under her breath as they shimmer slightly. Alina runs her hands along his scars, sending a burning sensation that is quickly replaced by a soothing one spreading out through his body. She presses her hands around his chest and back, hitting along small spots where the feeling seems to spike up and spread out
 Skyler does his best to not whimper like a bitch whenever the pain spikes up, but AAAAARRRRGGH
 CrazyWitch seems practiced, being rather quick and efficient. As the feeling spreads the damage on the inside begins to mend, the internal pain inflicted on him starting to fade. Her face is absolutely stone cold as she does it.

 <Skyler>: "You, uh... s-sorry, if you're upset."
 Skyler smiles, which is actually him wincing because >pain tolerance
 <CrazyWitch>: "I'm not. Try to hold still" there's only a bit of worry in her voice, obviously trying to push herself to not seem so grim. Her thoughts drift off to other memories, but she continues to do her "massage" until there isn't an inch of his upper body that doesn't have the sensation flowing through it. Then she stops, thinking contemplatively.
 <CrazyWitch>: "Just lie back. Let the spell do its work for a few minutes"
 <CrazyWitch>: "I hope it wasn't too uncomfortable for you."
 <Skyler>: "Right, no, I'm fine."
 <Skyler>: "In retrospect, this isn't when I should be sparring..."
 <CrazyWitch>: "You pushed to get results and better your survival in the future. Its admirable at least."
 <CrazyWitch>: "You're doing it to help your friends and everybody"
 <CrazyWitch>: "Might not be the best idea but you have a better reason than I can claim to"
 <Skyler>: "You- I'm sure your reason is good enough, if it motivates you the way it seems to."
 Skyler attempts to sit himself upright against the wall
 <CrazyWitch>: "I'm not that good of a gal. Please, just hold still a moment more"
 CrazyWitch sighs, obviously going through some internal panic of some kind but hiding it amazingly well. The burning feeling throughout his body is finally starting to fade
 Skyler clutches his chest as he breathes a sigh of relief
 <Skyler>: "Sorry if I freaked out for a second, though."
 <CrazyWitch>: "Its fine. You need to get your rest" she speaks in a bit shorter sentences now but at least seems happy he's better
 Skyler gives a concerned frown, and decides to drop the subject
 <Skyler>: "So, uh, to make the conversation about /me/ again..."
 <Skyler>: "You know my roommate, Tony? Well, you probably know the whole situation from Francesca by now, huh."
 CrazyWitch sits down next to him, deciding to get her mind off of whatever it was she was thinking about and looking at him
 <CrazyWitch>: "She was hit hard by it, you know"
 Skyler sighs and looks around the room
 <CrazyWitch>: "Tony kind of understood that feeling she had, with the radiowaves. Never got to talk to each other that much but they seemed like friends and she likes him well enough. Having him get snatched away with her helpless to stop it... its not a good feeling is all"
 <CrazyWitch>: "I imagine you knew him much better, though. And he went missing when you did, trying to find you. It weighs some, doesn't it?"
 <Skyler>: "Eugh... honestly, I get the impression he and Francesca might have been closer than him and I. But that's not very important. Well, it might be."
 <Skyler>: "Did she tell you about round 2?"
 <CrazyWitch>: "I heard some of it."
 <CrazyWitch>: "You're going to be taken right into the center of the madness"
 <Skyler>: "Assuming he isn't already aware of what I said and intends to just snuff me out halfway through the trip there."
 <Skyler>: "But he's not the same guy anymore. He's some sort of megalomaniac, and now he's got an army of flesh golems that arrive via. meteor."
 <CrazyWitch>: "And you... you're going in without wings. I'm not embarrassed to say that I'm worried for your life. This is all insane"
 <CrazyWitch>: "But if you do manage to get close to him I might have some advice"
 <Skyler>: "Oh?"
 CrazyWitch undoes her hair, letting it all come down as she looks at the wall blankly with those stoic eyes of hers.
 <CrazyWitch>: "Do everything in your power to make him think you're still his friend"
 <CrazyWitch>: "Feed into the little things that make them happy. Lead them on and give them suggestions"
 <CrazyWitch>: "Make them trust you implicitly because they think you are one of them. And while doing all that, this is the most important part"
 <CrazyWitch>: "...How angry are you Skyler?"
 <Skyler>: "..."
 <Skyler>: "You ever get to the point, where you're so emotional you can actually feel it in your chest, as a physical sensation?"
 <CrazyWitch>: "Yes"
 <Skyler>: "It's a horrible, sharp pain in my chest, at all times."
 <CrazyWitch>: "That's the anger then. Just how much you despise how this all is and how you want it all to go back to normal"
 <CrazyWitch>: "While you are there do not forget that. Let it fuel you, give you the energy to be this kind benefactor to them. Use it to lead them astray and when the time is right unleash it at their weakest"
 <CrazyWitch>: "I wouldn't give this advice to anybody if they weren't in the most dire of situations"
 <CrazyWitch>: "But if you're to make it out of there alive and stop this madman, you need to do this"
 <CrazyWitch>: "When its all over it'll hurt, but you'll be alive. And we'll be there to help you"
 CrazyWitch finally looks back at him, her cold traumatized glare holds a moment before it warms up
 <Skyler>: "I'm gonna have to kill him, aren't I."
 <CrazyWitch>: "No. He can be saved"
 Skyler 's expression is one of tiredness and defeat.
 <CrazyWitch>: "He's not the enemy. The monster controlling him is. Tony is asleep"
 <CrazyWitch>: "You aren't talking to Tony anymore, only the monster who is only barely holding on"
 <CrazyWitch>: "Undermine that monster while still hiding in plain sight. Use its trust. Then when it is weak, take back your friend"
 CrazyWitch waits a moment before she puts an arm around his shoulder, pulling him in for some comfort
 <Skyler>: "So, wha-"
 Skyler is pulled by the shoulder, offering no real resistance
 <Skyler>: "Uh, so, what you're saying is I wait for his ego to go down low, and then I give such a moving morality speech that the parasite can't keep him down anymore."
 <CrazyWitch>: "Let loose all of your anger through that. It should shake it to its core. Keep his trust, lead him to failure, then reveal your work when its at its lowest and wake up the real friend"
 <CrazyWitch>: "You better come back alive or else I'll have to start sparring with Frankie"
 <Skyler>: "Y'know, I hate to gossip, but she seemed impressed that I spar with you at all."
 <CrazyWitch>: "She knows a few things you don't about me. You probably wouldn't have wanted to spar with me if you knew them"
 <Skyler>: "Ominous."
 <Skyler>: "Sounds like a comforting thing to tell someone mid-hug."
 Skyler rests his head on her shoulder to emphasize this point
 <CrazyWitch>: "I... know. I'm not good at this comfort thing. Its something I'll have to tell you in the future, once this is all settled. Just know I haven't been a good person."
 <CrazyWitch>: "Don't die out there."
 <Skyler>: "Eh, if I haven't died in here I figure I'm pretty much set."
 <Skyler>: "And, if it makes you feel any better, I used to stay up late to sneak out of the house and practice flying on my own."
 <CrazyWitch>: "If I wanted you dead you'd have been out in the first five minutes of round one, you cocky pulă"
 <Skyler>: "Y'know, I'm gonna start googling all this Romanian and then you won't be able to make fun of me."
 <CrazyWitch>: "Just take the hug like you boys are supposed to and stop complaining."
 <Skyler>: "I'm not complaining~"
 <CrazyWitch>: "I'll hit you like you are if you keep it up" she seems to lighten up some
 <Skyler>: "I've taken enough of those to not be scared." he nudges her with his elbow
 CrazyWitch grins, still detached as she always is but to a lesser degree now
 <CrazyWitch>: "I'll think of something new to scare you then"
 <Skyler>: "I'm glad this is where our conversations go."
 <CrazyWitch>: "Its a good feeling, prost. Now get up and go get some rest. You need your energy" she loosens the hug and instead wraps her arm around his torso and stands up, lifting him up onto his feet effortlessly

 Skyler is practically just along for the ride at this point

 <Skyler>: [I have theeeeem]

 CrazyWitch basically carries Skyler to his things, finally putting him down
 <CrazyWitch>: "Now try to walk from this point on, băiețel. I'm not walking down the halls carrying you"
 Skyler hands Alina a water bottle. He uses that towel he got earlier [woo continuity~] to wipe himself off before reapplying his bandages and putting a shirt on
 <Skyler>: "Oh, c'mon, no sympathy for the fallen angel?"
 Skyler does a dramatic, dainty fainting motion and falls onto his bag
 <CrazyWitch>: "Just because you lost your wings doesn't mean you lost your legs" she muses, taking a drink
 <Skyler>: "Oh, casteth out of heaven, and forced to dine with witches~"
 Skyler chugs some of his own water now that his stomach is closer to working order, and puts on his shoes
 <CrazyWitch>: "Halt the operatics, I might come up with my scare tactic sooner"
 CrazyWitch picks up her things, wiping her hair with the towel
 <Skyler>: "Yeah, fine."
 CrazyWitch gives his shoulder a playful nudge and leads them out of the dojo
 <CrazyWitch>: "See you around, Sky. Remember the advice and stay alive. I'll kick your ass if you don't"
 <Skyler>: "I'll see you after I save the world."
