 "You mentioned something about the League Federation, that's about all I've got. I checked the number you called from, is this some government something or other?"

 "Pff, yeah. Basically every other region's got one, I don't know why our government is slacki- er, I mean..."

 "No, you're correct. I myself am astounded it has taken this long...but we are to be initializing one ourselves soon, here, in Tudari..and as such, we need candidates worthy of being Gym Leaders, and we're putting teams together to smoke them out. That's where you come in. You are quick, athletic, and most importantly, you know your way around Pokemon. That's rare here. Would you be interested in such a thing?"

 "Of being a gym leader, or being part of a team to help find them?"
 
 Gerome:
 "Either, I suppose. If you could prove yourself worthy, that would save us the trouble of finding another. But the former is what we're more interested in."
 
 Nick:
 "I... don't know, I've really been investing a lot into this whole racing gig. What's the pay like? A man's gotta feed himself, you know."
 
 Gerome:
 "We'll provide you with hotels, food, and the usual business expenses as long as you comply. Pay other than that depends primarily on your performance. Should you do well and find many candidates, then you'll receive bonuses. On the other hand, if you fail...well, at least you'll have a place to stay."

 This is the closest thing to a neckbeard I can find and I hate myself for it. "What do you want?! You're interrupting our match!  "Quite a bit, most of which is classified information. Is this a genuine call? Judging by your tone, I'm getting the feeling you may have called the wrong number...which in my case is a pretty grave mistake to make. This number is usually private outside of specific circles."

 "Naaah, I don't think so...I'm careful about that, yannow? One wrong turn, and whooops, can't go back. So any chance ya could call off some of those engagements? I think I gottsa job for you, from the Tudari League Foundation." You've never heard of this in your life.

 "Hmm..." 18 still reads a bit of suspicion in the air, but she proceeds to play along anyway; Even if this is some kind of trap, it might be worth testing the mettle of just whoever has the stones to pull something like this off.  "Nah, j's me today. Can ya make your way down to the Inky Smeargle? In, I'unno, coupla hours?" From what you know, the Inky Smeargle is a sort of posh art cafe where pompous art-doers go to eat and show off their work.

 "(The Inky Smeargle of all places?) Uh...yeah. Sure." On second thought, she's not entirely sure if she should bother taking precautions here. But she may as well pack her basic equipment anyway.

 "Uh huh...eleven. Fair enough...? Just remember to be on time...and don't try any funny business. Because believe me, I'll know." At this point 18 is a little worried this might just be a bunk call from some really lonely chick doing this for kicks; A far worse outcome than it being a simple sabotage, since those at least make for interesting leads.

 "Got it." 18 hangs up the phone on that, because if there's anything she hates more than crank calls, it's awkwardly extended phone call endings. "*Sigh* Then again, I suppose this has the potential to be a rather stress-free day too. Blargh, what am I saying. I'm too young to start sounding like an old retired veteran."

Along with other stuff. Furthering communication between cities, finding the right cities for the gyms, setting up the contests..." She yawns again, "Man, they couldn't'a picked a more boring speech." She leans back even farther on the couch, and continues scrawling on her pad, "So, whaddaya say? D'ya think you can handle it? It's long-term, yannow."

 "So just a bunch of negotiation then? Seems kinda like common busywork...which is fine by me I suppose. I've had a little too many 'exciting' missions lately for my own good. And Pokemon Leagues are a pretty big business these days, so the pay is probably enough to cover any of my past expenses...*ahem* Anyway, is that all? Any risks or an inevitable catch I should know of?"

 "Oh, it'll be super risky. Not everyone wants a league, yannow? Think it goes against the 'traditional values' of this place or something. And since everyone sucks, I bet they'll attack ya! An' ya never know just what people might want from ya to convince 'em."

 "*siiigh* Oh, yes, you'll have to excuse me. I'm not entirely caught up with the politics that come with this setup. I suppose now it makes a little more sense why you would call me of all people to help carry this out."

See, each of ya is supposed to have your own little area of expertise...an' yours is the politics of the league. Like how the Leaders interact with the goverment, n' stuff."

 "Politics, huh? Yeah, I'm probably the right person for that job....wait, so that means I'm not the only one assigned to this? I suppose that makes some sense..."

 "Well normally you have some kind of quality check, but....well, okay, fine, I won't question you further. Now, a battle? I'm afraid traditional battling isn't really my specialty. I never quite got into that competitive battling mumbo jumbo myself...I'm an agent, you see, we tend to use Pokemon to enhance our own innate abilities."

 "I could try and 'battle' you in my own kind of environment, but I can't guarantee it won't result in one of us not making it out alive."

 "Ya, I feel you. You're like most people, don't think nothin' of Pokemon. I'm the same way. They kinda suck and have no redeeming qualities like everything else. If ya really wanna have a knock-down drag-out fight...eeeeh, I'm not your girl. Try Taryn, he's the only one of us who c'n really fight."

 "I'll keep that in mind... Now, anything else I should know of before plunging into the heart of danger?"

 "Naaaah. I gotsa question for ya, though: how do ya think the League's politics should work? Should th' Gym Leaders be heavily involved? Act like mayors? Should they just focus on protectin' their own city? Should we start up a new police force to handle it?"

 "Heh, well, I'm not normally the type of person you ask for that...but if I have to answer, I'd say it'd be wise to have the gym leaders exert a reasonable amount of power, but leave most of the busywork to people actually qualified to handle running an entire city. Structuring the police force accordingly does sound wise, but this obviously varies on a case-by-case basis."
 
 Kerria:
 "That so, eh? Yannow, I just interviewed someone earlier who said Leaders should have ALL the power...some black-haired fop in a red cape. I like yours better. Wonder how you'll do that police force...anywho, ya got any questions for me?"

 "Quite a few, but I'm not sure if they're ones you're capable of answering, and not your partners...but I'll give it a shot. Do you know of any real public opposition to the establishment of the league? Like, any figureheads I should know about? Additonally, just how far am I allowed to go if push comes to shove?"
 
 Kerria:
 "Eeehh...well, I'm the people person, so I know a little. There's this one guy, Arion, he's the biggest one. Real long family here, doesn't like any change, yannow? But it ain't him ya gotta worry about. He hired some bigshot bodyguard from Iornia, that guy's reeeeaaal strong. I don't even think Taryn'd beat him. They go 'round takin' out technical stuff and stoppin' progress. Kinda annoying to us government folks all around. I think Agares'd say not to kill 'im, cause yannow, paperwork and publicity...but I don't care."

 "So as expected...things would probably be better off if I take things as discreetly as possible...a sneaking mission, you could say. Accomplish my task by however means necessary, so long as I don't get caught...or at least, make that big of a mess. Of course, I would much prefer to simply talk people down, but if I must break the unbreakable, so be it."

 "From what I heard, that exile guy only listens to power...and some girl, but who cares. Now listen, one more thing: Your name and face is gonna be publicized as partta this, so candidates know you're not some kook. Ya can use a fake name if ya want, but you'll have to KEEP using it."
