+°background; born and raised in daegu, yeongshin is the youngest of three. growing up as a kid, she had to learn to defend herself at a very early age as she had two older brothers who loved to bully her. girls her age at that time all used to all wear pretty, frilly clothes while yeongshin wore hand-me-downs from her brothers. although they weren't poor, the go household believed very strongly in being frugal. at school, most of her friends were boys because she scared away the girls with her rough housing ways. as she got older however, she managed to learn how to befriend females although most of her close friends were still guys. when her school heard that cube was holding auditions, her female friends dragged her to audition with them. yeongshin had never once even thought about being an idol but thought it would be interesting to audition anyway. surprisingly, she made it and had to break it to her parents that she auditioned for cube in the heat of the moment and accidentally made it. naturally, her parents were quite taken aback and were immediately against it. for some reason, yeongshin actually really wanted to do this and begged her parents to let her become a trainee. much to her shock, her brothers were the ones who backed her up and eventually changed their minds.
