Erilen: The main and first ‘layer’ of the Lifestream. Erilen is where everything takes place.

3
The Manastream/Lifestream: Massive, blue-green pillar that spears through several planes. The Manastream is never surrounded by life; except for primordial forces constantly spewn forth only to be destroyed a week later. The Lifestream is also a term given to the entire set of planes layered upon eachother. Merely being near -- let alone touching the Lifestream risks madness -- and more commonly, death. Though there are some cases (such as Helvian), where the Lifestream fuels divine power into the individual.
4-
Continental War: For seven years, continent of Ormanal has been wrought into a full war after the assassination of Emperor Anyu's family.

Mana: Mana is a key substance found within the Lifestream. It's known as the 'essence', or 'blood' of the world. Mana is the essence found within a soul, and fuels one with life. Also known as "magic", Mana can be sacraficed from oneself in order to alter reality. Around the Lifestream, one can find a 'liquid' mana, which forms small tributaries that crystallize around the crater it rises out of.

7-
Abyssal Rifts open: The Abyss has been opening to Erilen far more than before. Roughly one rift is found per month, and though Archmages are capable of closing them off, they fear that something is behind them; as The Abyss is seldom opened on its own within every century, let alone month.
7+
Souls: A "core" consisting of tightly bound mana. The soul is found in every living entity, and acts as a sort of engine that fuels humanity, personality, and life itself. Losing ones soul is debated upon, but the accepted result is death

9-
Kidnappings: Religious figures such as priests or priestesses (most notably of Elven descent), are being kidnapped. None seem to be returning, and it's assumed that whatever force behind this doesn't intend on giving them back.

Darkweavers: Long ago, the god Rhysvial invented the dreadful magic known as "Darkweaving,". This magic had the ability to steal and unweave the souls of others, stealing their mana reserves, and halt the process of reincarnation in order to fuel their own power. Darkweavers were, for the most part, sealed away with their master

Discovery of a new world: Dwarves discovered an entrance to an underground complex known as the Underdark. The Underdark consists of several networks, tunnels, and caves that are said to span beneath the entire surface world.

12
Psychosis: Prolonged exposure to the Lifestream causes insanity. This is said to be a result from the numerous souls and entities wandering around the locale of the Manastream; as a totem of reincarnation and birth, those who've managed to survive nearing the Lifestream claim it 'communing' with them.
13-
Dwarves at war: The Dwarves whom discovered the Underdark immediately went to war with the Drow; a race of Elf said to be twisted into evil, and off the Elven caste.

15
Death: Upon death, the soul, if left undisturbed, is often 'recycled' through the Lifestream, which causes the creation of a new creature. Typically; the soul is changed into the same species of what they once were, but there are exceptions. .
16
17
Manatouched: Those who have been exposed to the Lifestream's effect end up being warped; degrading physically as well as mentally. Their bodies will sometimes make them unrecognizable to what they once were.
18
19
Manakin: A breed of mysterious creatures spewn forth by the Lifestream. Most Manakin die within a week of 'birth'. Unlike most, they're composed of pure mana, nothing more.

The Abyss: A separate realm from the Manastream. The Abyss is home to demons; and unfortunately, rears its ugly face on Erilen in the form of rifts or portals.
