FYI they're not designed to be shared/readable by anyone besides myself, and it won't be for a very long time - it also has very minimal details on map strats.

Clarification on single file:
17
18-
The run must be done off of the single file chain - IMO this is the simplest way to concretely define what's allowed. I'm not a fan of splitting off / copying files then finishing other routes off of copies of the file instead of committing to the same file chain, since the resulting file chain technically never finished every chapter. Notable examples of what's NOT allowed:

The run must be done off of the single file chain - IMO this is the simplest way to concretely define what's allowed. I'm not a fan of splitting off / copying files then finishing other routes off of copies of the file instead of committing to the same file chain. Notable examples:
19
- Setting up a save just before the crimson flower / silver snow route split, then using that save to start whichever of the two routes i haven't done yet, instead of the same file chain.
20
- Creating copies of a NG+ file then starting a route off of each of these - meaning, I can just reset after finishing the last map of a route then immediately start another playthrough off of a copy instead of going through the endgame credits/scenes and building the same chain. (because extra renown counts for the entire profile, not per file).

27
A: No

29
30
Q: Anna / Ashen Wolves?
31
32-
A: No Paid DLC, so I can't recruit them (not that they would be helpful anyways). Their paralogues are not required either.

35
Q: Why Female Byleth?
36
37
A:
38
- Pegasus / Falcon Knight
39
- Recruiting Sylvain in chapter 2 for free
40
- Cute, especially with glasses
41
- Dancer Outfit
42
- Has something to believe in
43
44
45
Q: Why Blue Lions First?
46
47
A:
48-
- Only route where you can get multiple dancing battalions: Blue Lion Dancers & Opera Co Volunteers
48+
- Train Sylvain's authority - free to recruit by chapter 2 in other routes as female Byleth. Most convenient early A-rank NG+ unit.
49-
- Train Sylvain's authority ASAP - past the first playthrough, he's the most convenient and earliest Blue Lion Dancer / Opera Co Volunteers user due to his free recruitment as female Byleth.
49+
- Only route where you can get more than one battalion with the OP Dance of the Goddess gambit: Blue Lion Dancers & Opera Co Volunteers
50-
- Kingdom Archers (D rank Retribution) and Kingdom Heavy Knights (B rank Sacred Shield) are unique to Blue Lions
50+
- Kingdom Archers (D rank Retribution) and Kingdom Heavy Knights (B rank Sacred Shield) are also unique to Blue Lions

52
53
Q: Which recurring units are used in this runthrough?
54
55
A:
56
57-
- Byleth - I raise and carry over her lance/flying ranks for pegasus / falcon knight certifications, bow rank for archer, and authority for the higher rank flying battalions: Immortal Corps, Galatea Peg. Co, Cichol Wyvern Co. Also want B rank lance/bow for brave weapons.
57+
- Byleth - Duh. I raise and carry over her lance/flying ranks for pegasus / falcon knight certifications, bow rank for archer, and authority for the higher rank flying battalions: Immortal Corps, Galatea Peg. Co, Cichol Wyvern Co. Also want B rank lance/bow for eventual Brave Lance/Brave Bow access.
58
59-
- Sylvain - The main part 1 dancer for most playthroughs. He's the earliest recruitable out of house unit in the game - without NG+, nobody can realistically have B authority or higher by Ch02 to use Opera Co Volunteers.

- Sylvain - The main dancer for most playthroughs. He's the earliest character we can recruit out of house for basically free. He's the easiest way to get a Dance of the Goddess user as early as chapter 2, since nobody can realistically have B authority or higher by then besides Byleth via NG+.
60
61-
- Ignatz - Main rallybot (str/dex/spd) and second dancer for some playthroughs. Easy early recruitment as well (chapter 3, 10 dex & B auth, second floor). Buying S Authority on later playthroughs is worth the high renown cost: +4 strength/speed and +8 hit/+4 crit is such a huge boost to reliability throughout the entire run or a way to compensate for unlucky level-ups. By extension, he also has easy access to higher rank support battalions.

By extension, he also has easy access to higher rank support battalions.
62
63-
- Lysithea - Warper. She's actually not as important as you'd think, since warping is slow and usually not worth going out of your way for. The one exception is Ch05, so we want to have her with B Faith by then to warp skip it. If it weren't for this chapter alone, it would not be worth building a B support with her to recruit her in the 3rd and 4th playthroughs.

64
65
- Flayn - Recruited for free, Rescuer through part 1. Dancer in Azure Moon. Rescue is usually faster than Warp since Rescue doesn't require picking a target manually (Warp does). She takes up space in part 2 otherwise, so she's usually killed off by the end of part 1 :(
66
67-
- Shamir & Seteth & Ingrid - Free / easy to recruit units in most routes with good combat and/or flying classes. Used for both combat and for support battalions.

70
Q: Are supports relevant? If so, what supports do you build?
71
72
A:
73-
- Byleth x Lysithea B - recruit her out of house in later routes (10% chance per week for her to ask to join)
73+
- Byleth x Lysithea B - recruit her out of house in later routes (10% chance for her to ask to join per week)
74
- Byleth x Marianne C - required for paralogue
75
- Annette x Gilbert C - required for paralogue
76
- Byleth x Seteth C - I accept this support since otherwise he'll just ask to talk to me twice in verdant wind because I do his paralogue.
77
- Byleth x Edelgard C+ - required for Crimson Flower
78
- Byleth x Mercedes C - lowers recruitment requirement from 15 magic to 12 magic
79
- Byleth x Ashe C - lowers recruitment requirement from 15 charm to 12 charm
80
- Byleth x Rhea C - required for paralogue
81
82
83
Q: When do you do which paralogues?
84
85
A:
86
87
Solo paralogues require having the associated unit in your class (duh).
88
Paired paralogues in part 1 require having at least one of the two units in your class - if the other unit is not in you class, they must have NOT fallen in combat as part of your class or via mission assistance.
89
Paired paralogues in part 2 require having both units in your class.
90
91
AZURE MOON
92
93-
- Sothis - Earlier knowledge gem to train Byleth's Lance + Flying + Authority and Archer/Pegasus Knight mastery
93+
- Sothis - Earlier knowledge gem to get Byleth's Lance + Flying + Authority up more.
94
- Dedue - Exclusive
95
- Felix - Bad to recruit out of house (B+ Sword)
96-
- Hanneman & Manuela - Manuela is the only easily available warper in Azure Moon. She or Dorothea are required to get the Opera Co Volunteers battalion in Enbarr. Get this out of the way so we don't have to re-recruit her or Hanneman in later routes.

97
98
- Annette & Gilbert - Exclusive. Requires an Annette x Gilbert C Support.
99
- Dimitri - Exclusive
100
101
102
VERDANT WIND
103
104
- Lorenz - Bad to recruit out of house (C Reason)
105-
- Dorothea & Ingrid - No Azure Moon because Ingrid isn't a free flier. No Crimson Flower / Silver Snow, because that requires keeping Dorothea alive. Verdant Wind lets me recruit Ingrid as a pegasus knight - she's helpful as a third combat flier for the paralogues. Also must have Ingrid in the party to get the Galatea Pegasus Co battalion from her paralogue (B rank flying)
105+
- Dorothea & Ingrid - No Azure Moon because Ingrid isn't a free flier. No Crimson Flower / Silver Snow, because that requires keeping Dorothea alive. Verdant Wind lets me recruit Ingrid already as a pegasus knight, who is also helpful as a third combat flier for the paralogues. Also must have Ingrid in the party to get the Galatea Pegasus Co battalion (B rank flying)
106-
- Seteth & Flayn - Cichol Wyvern Co battalion (A rank flying, the best offensive flying battalion in the game). The rout objective is more convenient to do with Ingrid in the party.
106+
- Seteth & Flayn - Convenient rout chapter to train Byleth's ranks. Cichol Wyvern Co battalion (A rank flying, the best flying battalion in the game for offense)
107-
- Hilda & Cyril - Hilda is bad to recruit out of house (30 charm & C Axe). Cyril alone does not unlock this paralogue.
107+
- Hilda & Cyril - Crimson Flower / Silver Snow routes are not options due to being unable to recruit either at all or for most of part 1. Hilda is bad to recruit in Azure Moon (30 charm & C Axe). Keeping Hilda around in Verdant Wind is more efficient than recruiting Cyril in Azure Moon.
108
109
- Marianne - Bad to recruit out of house (C Riding). Requires a Byleth x Marianne C Support.
110
- Claude - Exclusive
111
112
113
CRIMSON FLOWER
114
115
- Raphael & Ignatz - Doing this in Verdant Wind requires keeping both alive. We recruit Ignatz anyways in Crimson Flower / Silver Snow.
116
- Alois & Shamir - Can do this in any route. Just a good time to do this on the same weekend as Raphael & Ignatz's.
117
118
- Hubert - Exclusive
119
- Edelgard - Exclusive
120
- Petra & Bernadetta - Petra is bad to recruit out of house (C Riding), and we need both of them for their part 2 paralogue.
121
122
123
SILVER SNOW
124
125
- Sylvain - Giving the Lance of Ruin to Rhea skips a cutscene, gives Rhea support points, and I don't need it for part 1 so I can wait on it and get it in Sylvain's paralogue.
126
- Ashe & Catherine - Ashe is easy to recruit (need 12 charm with a C Support). Doing this here means I can kill him off in Azure Moon. Shoes of the Wind will help the most in this route.
127
128-
- Mercedes & Caspar - Unavailable on Crimrushed Flower. Mercedes is easy to recruit (C bows & 12 magic w/ C Support)
128+
- Mercedes & Caspar - Unavailable on Crimrushed Flower. Recruiting Mercedes is easy (C bows & 12 magic w/ C Support)
129-
- Rhea - C Support with Rhea is most convenient in Silver Snow since I don't have any other targets for my gifts in this route.
129+
- Rhea - C Support with Rhea is most convenient in Silver Snow since I don't have any other use for my gifts in this route.
130
- Ferdinand & Lysithea - Unavailable on Crimrushed Flower. Bad to recruit Ferdinand von Aegir out of house (C Armor)
131-
- Linhardt & Leonie - Leonie is easy to recruit (C Lance & 15 strength). We start with Linhardt.
