  1. It still didn't sit right with him. The FIA betrayal was expected, there was no doubting that. But why exactly had they done it? They were a dark organization that reminded him of the man known as Danzo Shimura. A couple of thoughts ran through his mind. The first was the possibility of the FIA neglecting his position as Mizukage. They never heard of his alleged intent to step down. No, that conversation was between Mukotsu, Kei, and the Water Emperor. Leaking such information would lead to a breach in nation security. It would allow for others to capitalize on the nation's brief weakness. They couldn't allow for that to happen. Mukotsu thought about the night that he spent in the dry and humid cell. Near the middle of the night, he was contacted by the agents of this shady organization. Their timing was a little too perfect for his liking. Besides the fact that they were a foreign organization, they sealed the pact of distrust by contacting him out of the blue in such a manner. It didn't matter much now, but it was something he needed to keep in the back of his mind at all times. Starting later this day, he would have to make a counter to this organization. The men that he sent out of the nation were likely already halfway to their destinations, which eased him a tiny bit. The beads of sweat that once adorned his face had all but vanished. Thanks to the two simultaneous rituals, he managed to circumvent any further fatigue from the Biju. Something was still lingering in the back of his mind. The Mizukage felt as if it was necessary to watch his back constantly. He had fleeting suspicions that Aosaginohi may have been in cahoots with this organization. The whole situation reeked of a particular scent. A scent reminiscent of Danzo Shimura. The man who had sought to manipulate Mei Terumi and other Kages during the summit many years ago. History was not going to repeat itself. Mukotsu wouldn't allow the Fire Nation to learn from the mistake Danzo had made and capitalize on them.

  3. The platoon of Anbu and Jonin had come together within five minutes of them being called for. This was relatively quick for men who had been scanning the entirety of the area where the blast had hit. Their primary duty was to ensure that no citizens were hurt while letting the people know that an electrical experiment had led to the blast. The forty men that made up the Mizukage's entourage were scattered. The thirty Anbu followed from the shadows, masking their presences. The remainder of the platoon moved with Mukotsu, ensuring that he was to be protected in the event that something had managed to bypass the Anbu. A faint tap could be heard as Mukotsu walked with his cane. The noise grew louder and more apparent as he neared the estate of the Emperor. For a while now, he had been aware of the chakra signature that was very familiar. It was Dai Terumi, of course. Mukotsu knew that the swords were gone, and the only explanation for this was that Aosaginohi must have done something to summon them to his location. So this was where Dai's loyalty laid. Not with the Mizukage nor the Emperor, but instead, with the swords. Instead of greeting the Terumi with a smile, Mukotsu greeted him with a blank stare that seemed to weigh down the air around them. His lips parted and a violently aggressive tone came forth "Oh, Dai, this is where you ran off to. How unfortunate. Here I was hoping that you'd make sure that I was ok. I guess I was wrong, you filthy dog." As he finished his sentence, his lips curled into a fake smile that taunted the man.

  7. The Mizukage was ready to rip out his jugular there and then. With the same smile, he spoke to the guards who bowed before him. While their allegiance may have been with the Emperor, they knew better than to disrespect the power before them. Instead of being rude and barging in, the man decided that he'd have one of them escort him, or have them bring someone to escort him. "One of you inform the Daimyo that I have arrived. After doing so, either escort me or find someone to. Also, this dog is to stay put like a good boy while I speak to the Daimyo." With that, Mukotsu tapped his cane as a signal for one of them to do as he commanded.
