  1. Jump #251: A Certain Magical Index
  2. >The Hierophant, reversed: Inflexible and dogmatic thinking. A calcified old regime.
  3. Boy, that describes so many things in this jump.
  4. >Age: 28
  5. >Location: London, UK
  6. >Identity: Spy (-100)
  7. >Index (300)
  8. Memetic resistance, the ability to safely memorize hundreds of thousands of grimores, and a perfect memory (whcih I already have ten times over but why not). A fine way to cap off my other mental boost perks.
  9. >Sorcerer (Free, Spy)
  10. Not just a magician, but explicitly able to train new ones. Hm, perhaps I should found the local equivalent of Hogwarts... nah, this world's too messed up for that not to become the battleground for World War V.
  11. >Esper: Telekinesis (0, Spy)
  12. Frankly I can probably already do all of this with the other telekinesis perks I have, but it never hurts to have it spelled out explicitly.
  13. >Cross of the Church of England (Free, Spy)
  14. Shiny. I don't think I'll be using this much, though.
  15.
  16. First things first: Academy City is absolutely nuts and I am not going there. Second, I'm going to abuse every method of teleportation and scrying that I have in order to find every grimore I can, so that I can read them. Which I can do by touching them. Of course, I'm sure many of them are warded against that, but it isn't as if I don't have ways around that through any other number of magical systems.
  17.
  18. And after ten years of making a point of NOT getting involved in the insanity here, I have only one conclusion to come to: I learned absolutely nothing here that I couldn't apply elsewhere.
  19.
  20. I already have telekinesis, both alpha-plus level power and fine control. I already have magical knowledge. Sure, I've learned enough from all these books to screw with the local laws of physics, but those are useless to me outside of here. An unexpectedly underwhelming decade, to be sure.
  21.
  22. Ugh.
  23.
  24. At least Index is useful to mentally catalog the books I've read.
