Brad makes guys weekend plans

Alexithymiaa: -Brad sat at the counter in the cafe, a half eaten plate of french fries sitting in front of him. His attention was focused on his phone, sliding his fingers across the screen as he typed and sent emails and texted and whatnot, bouncing back and forth between his calendar and his email.-
Covet: Kelsey was coming back from the bathroom with Connor, who immediately climbed up on to the stool he was on and started back in on his fries and chicken strips. Kelsey sat back down to, and crossed one leg over the other. She'd had a busy weekend doing combat training stuff for the video coming up. "Busy busy over there hmm?"
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, trying to schedule Anna's shoot." He said in a bit of a mumble, not looking up from his phone as he blindly reached for another french fry to push it into his mouth.-
Covet: "Oh yeah?" Kelsey said looking over at him as she watched Connor eating and saw Brad continue what he was doing without even looking up. // Connor looked over at Kelsey, "Momma tomorrow Mr. Thomas needs the permshun paper thing to go to the trampoline place for the class party tomorrow, don't forget." He said before shoving some more fries in his mouth.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah. Looking at June to have everything in order and ready to go. It's a pretty intense shoot so I need to be there a little longer than usual. I wanted to wait until finals were over." He shoved another french fry in his mouth before sending a final email and dropping the phone down onto the counter.-
Covet: "Ah, so does that mean you'll be in LA a bit over the next couple of weeks?" Kelsey asked him, then nodded her head at Connor, "Oh? Permissions Slip," She said correcting him, "Don't worry I'll make sure that I put it in your back pack, okay? And if I forget, I'll make sure to bring it in myself." She reached over ant ruffled his hair a bit.// Connor pulled his head away, "Oh Permission slip, Yeah that. Okay, just don't forget though okay. Cause if you forget, I can't go with my class. Momma Stop." He said as he pulled his head away and pushed her hand off his head.
Alexithymiaa: "I'm going to fly out in a few weeks just to make sure everything is set, but most of everything can be done remotely." He twisted on his stool to look down at Connor's face when Kelsey rustled his hair because he was always so amusing when they did that to him.-
Covet: "Oh, well that's good at least. Though won't it be a little weird not being there to direct the shoot on hand?" Kelsey asked him, then chuckled at Connor, "It's my job to do that, Kiddo. Sorry." // Connor looked at Kelsey and gave her a dirty look, "Nuh uh, You sing for your job. Do you get money to mess up my hair?" He asked because clearly... logic.
Alexithymiaa: "I am going out for the shoot in June, but usually there's some prepro check in that needs to be done. So I'll fly out there in a couple weeks once, and then just go back for the shoot in June." He grabbed another french fry to toss into his mouth, raising his brows at Connor. "It's not literal, buddy."-
Covet: "Oh okay, I see what you mean." Kelsey told him with a smile, then laughed at Connor's remark. // "What's literal mean? is that another job?" He asked trying to be a part of this conversation, "Dad can I fly with you? I really like flying."
Alexithymiaa: "Literal means..." He paused, looking to Kelsey for some help because he wasnt quite sure how to explain it. "Uhh.... something that's exactly what it sounds like?" He gave a shrug before shaking his head. "Dad has to work, Little Man. You can't come with me this time."-
Covet: Kelsey looked at Connor and saw the look on his face drop when Brad told him he couldn't go with. "Aww, It's okay Kiddo, maybe you and I will fly out to visit dad while he's working that weekend and we can surprise him." // Connor smiled then looked at Kelsey, "Well it's not gonna be a surprise now Momma."
Alexithymiaa: -He started to laugh, leaning back in his seat. "That's true, it's hard to surprise me if you tell me what you're going to do."-
Covet: "Hey, I never said how we'd do it, that could still be a surprise." Kelsey said sticking her tongue out at Brad. // "But I don't wanna go with you Momma, I wanna go with Dad, no mommas allowed." He said furrowing his brow at her. "I aaaaaaalways do things with you."
Alexithymiaa: "But I have to work, buddy. I can't really spend time with you. And I need to leave before you get out of school so it's better if Momma takes you for a couple days after you get out. That way everyone wins." He said with a warm smile to him, glancing to Kelsey. "It's looking like it's going to be June 6th through 10th."-
Covet: "Yeah, but maybe you guys could find some guy time together once you're not so busy, this summer." Kelsey told them with a smile, hoping that would help console Connor. // "You guys work alot. Working seems like a lot of work." He said which.. he wasn't wrong.
Alexithymiaa: (Connor... wise beyond his years.)
Alexithymiaa: "We can do that. Maybe we'll have a guys weekend. How does that sound?" He asked, directing his question at Connor, but he was kind of asking Kelsey also since he needed her permission.-
Covet: "I supposed I could live without you two for a weekend. Provided you don't give Dad a hard time." Kelsey said looking at Connor. // "Yeah, let's do that. I won't give Dad a hard time. I never give Dad a hard time." Connor said, looking offended.
Alexithymiaa: "That's true, he almost never gives me a hard time. We could drive out to Newport for the weekend. They have a cool aquarium and a marine science center we could go to. Would you want to do that?" He asked, adjusting the beanie on his head.-
Covet: "Oh, that sounds like a lot of fun." Kelsey said looking at Connor, "What do you think? Sound like it would be fun, Kiddo?" // Connor listened to Brad, then nodded his head, "Yeah, I like science." He grinned.
Alexithymiaa: "Science is cool." He said with a grin, grabbing for a french fry to shove into his mouth. "Okay, so after we're done working, we'll plan that."-
Covet: "Sounds like a plan to me. I guess I'll have to figure out what I'm going to do with myself while you guys are gone that weekend then." Kelsey said. "Maybe I'll get some good sleep in?" // Connor smiled, "Is work going to take a long time, Dad?"
Alexithymiaa: "Maybe Katie will want to hangout?" He asked with a raise of his brows, trying to be discreetly suggestive before looking at Connor. "It usually does, yeah."-
Covet: "I could definitely hit her up, we could have our own girls weekend or something." She said smiling then looked at Connor, "Yeah but it will go by quick, I promisse Little Man." // Connor looked at Kelsey and nodded, "Okay, I'll try to do my best to wait."
Alexithymiaa: "Gotta get the work done first before you can have fun. That's the way it goes." He said with a nod, grabbing the last few french fries on his plate and pushing them into his mouth. "Are you ready to head home and get ready for school tomorrow?"-
Covet: Kelsey smiled at them both and went to get up, looking at Connor. // "Connor pushed his plate back away from him and nodded, " Yeah, I guess I could sleep." He said casually.
Alexithymiaa: "Well that's good because you need to get up early in the morning." He said with a laugh, sliding out of his stool to his feet. He shoved his phone down into his pocket, offering a hand to Kelsey to help her up.-
Covet: Kelsey took his hand, and helped Connor jump down, watching him as he headed for the door. Then smiled at Brad, "You're such a good Dad. It always makes me proud of you."
Alexithymiaa: "Did you expect anything less?" He asked her with a smile, lacing his fingers with hers as he walked her to the door while pulling his car keys from his pocket.-
Covet: "No, it's just reall nice to see is all." She told him leaning over to give him a kiss on the cheek as they walked out to head back to the dorm place.
