  1. Sea Wizards
  2.
  3. Origins of Sea Wizards
  4.
  5.
  6. When a person dies their mortal soul dies, but not immediately. The soul degrades slowly, “active” soul, known as cita is turned into active energy, known as gal, which is used for magic of regular mortal mages. A Sea Wizard is born when a young man drowns and while his cita is in the process of degrading and the Sea God, Woda gives them new life by transferring part of his divine soul. For mortal mages magic comes from manipulating their cita to control gal, because of this mortal magic is limited by the strength of the cita. Divine Souls are able to control all forms of energy, not just gal, in larger quantities.
  7.
  8. When a human is given a divine soul (a demigod) for all it’s advantages it also comes with disadvantages. Having part of a divine soul means speaking the language of the divine, it makes the demigod unable to communicate with those who are fully mortal. These demigods are also now a part of both the mortal world and the divine world, while they are stronger than all who are mortal they are now on the playing field of the divine, of which they are the weakest.
  9.
  10. Woda’s goal for Sea Wizards are to be the most powerful of the demigods, in case of conflict of other gods or for manipulation of mortal forces as a god can only interact with the mortal world through demigods. Woda’s way of making Sea Wizards more powerful is to dedicate their life to training and fighting. Sea Wizards are forbidden from entering land or seeing land, the more time they spend on the sea the more powerful they get. Attachments besides a teacher and student are also forbidden, a Sea Wizard will only be given one of each by Woda. Most Sea Wizards go their entire life only meeting two people their entire existences. Families are the most taboo for Sea Wizards, children of a demigod have the power to take the divine souls of demigods whom their parent’s divine soul stems from (A child of a Sea Wizard can take the divine souls of all Sea Wizards) without being subject to the God that the divine soul came from originally.
  11.
  12. Worthy of note are Behemoths, Behemoths happen when a Demigod dies. The ratio of cita to divine soul is switched making Behemoths extremely powerful but they lose most of their rationality in the process. Behemoths are much more at the mercy of their parent god but also much harder to control. Most gods give their demigods a much smaller amount of divine soul in order to create much weaker Behemoths. Woda uses his Behemoths to try and kill his Sea Wizards, making those who live stronger.
  13.

  17.
  18. Sea Wizards have specializations in order to give them an edge on Behemoths. Having a specialization gives them the advantage of minute control being that they can’t beat a Behemoth using brute strength.
  19.
  20. Sea Wizards have boats, normally passed down from student too teacher, a boat of a sea wizard is their home and Sea Wizards enchant their boats for various offense, defensive, and supplementary purposes. A boat passed down for generations is enchanted heavily and extremely valuable.
