  1. Master: Makoto Shibusawa
  2. A middle-aged man in a business suit with a slight paunch. Hidden in his suit pocket is a lucky iron needle passed down from his grandmother. He was formerly the head of a construction company which had a lucrative contract to build a luxury hotel on Minami Harbor. However, after a series of deadly accidents during construction, the contract was cancelled, resulting in both the company and himself going bankrupt. In the depths of despair, he remembered his grandmother's folk tale and pricked himself with his lucky needle, making a wish. The sacrifice of his blood and the lives lost in his hotel's construction served as the summoning for the Holy Grail War.
  3. Since the beginning of the Holy Grail War, the phantom of a completed hotel appears on the construction site at night. Shibusawa lives like a celebrity among the shades that populate the hotel. Although he doesn't realize it, the Shibusawa that appears in the hotel is also a phantom. His true body is sealed away in an enchanted egg, along with the all-important iron needle.
  4.
  5. Servant: Caster
  6. Appearance: A gaunt old man dressed in tattered, silvery robes of fishskin. Despite his age, he is surprisingly strong and agile; his physical parameters are above average for a Caster, although still lower than those of battle-oriented classes.
  7. True Name: Koschei
  8. Region: Slavic
  9. Alignment: Neutral Evil
  10. Skills:
  11. Territory Creation A: His territory in this War is the artificial land extension on which the partially-completed Minami Grand Hotel was to be constructed. At night, spirits of the dead, Koschei's kidnapping victims, and those whose curiosity is roused by the rumors of a phantom hotel are all drawn into his territory and serve as fodder for Koschei's mana. During the day, it is merely a half-finished construction site, and unfortunates who wandered into the hotel vanish along with it.
  12. Spellcasting A: Koschei's magical prowess is second only to that of Baba Yaga. In legends, he can control the weather, transform himself into many shapes including a raven and a whirlwind, command the spirits of the dead, or turn an entire kingdom to stone. As a pre-eminent spellcaster of the northern Slavic sphere, he also has a high affinity for ice magic and can easily use it in battle.
  13. Riding C: Koschei's nighttime rides across the countryside are the subject of legends, and he could qualify for the Rider class. However, since he has been summoned as a Caster, his legendary horse has not appeared, and he prefers to travel in the form of a whirlwind.
  14. Noble Phantasm: False Immortal (A rank). Koschei has the ability to remove the concept of death from his body and store it inside an iron needle. As long as he lacks the concept of death, it is impossible to kill him, and he will swiftly recover from even the most grievous harm. Even complete erasure by a Conceptual Weapon cannot kill something that lacks the concept of death, and he will revive by the next sunset. However, because his concept of death is stored in the needle, breaking it will immediately cause him to die along with it.
