- You are Ned, a noble living in the kingdom of Larion. You have a pouch of gold
- and a small dagger. You are awakened by one of your servants who tells you that
- your keep is under attack. You look out the window and see a large army marching
- towards your keep. You quickly grab your pocket watch and set it to go off when
- the enemy arrives
- > prepare the defences
- You hear the drums beating and the trumpets sounding and you know what must be
- happening. The enemy has arrived. You take stock of your forces and decide that
- you will defend yourself with the best you can muster
- > tell the arches to fire at the enemy
- The arches open fire on the approaching horde, but they do not hit anything.
- They miss their target completely. The arches turn away from the enemy and run
- back into the castle. You hear them shout "We failed!" as they fall dead
- > tell my people to pour the hot oil on the attackers
- Your people rush forward and begin pouring the oil over the attackers. It is
- effective, but it takes too long for the enemy to burn through all the oil.
- Soon, the defenders are burning alive. Your own troops are slaughtered by the
- hordes of undead
- > retreat into the castle
- You make your way into the castle and find that the gates are barricaded. You
- think about how you could use the oil to set the barricades alight, but you
- fear that would only delay the enemy and give them time to break through
- > hide in a haystack
- You hide behind a haystack and wait for nightfall. You hope that the enemy does
- not come this way. You feel very alone in this world
- > pray to all the gods
- You pray to all the gods and ask for help. You also pray to the Emperor for mercy.
- You do not get an answer. In the end, you are forced to kill yourself
