  1. Play the MU from ranged as much as possible. In field, charge j.y is amazing cuz it beats just about everything machamp does. It forces a reaction out of them, and you can use that opportunity to get a safe phase shift. His side step and his b.y are probably gonna be his go-to options; his sidestep is slow and laggy, and his b.y is whiff punishable. Easy projectile phase shifts. If he gets close to you in field, just homing cancel a lot and hope for the best lol.

  3. In Duel, again try to play at a mid/long range. Use 5a even though it can be low stanced. The meter gain is really insignificant. Just don’t 5a when they’re like super close to full meter. If they’re low stancing a lot then use it sparingly, but just don’t take it off the table. 5x is also a great poke to keep him away. If they're jumping a lot to get passed your zoning, call it out with Electroball.

  5. If he does manage to get in, stay low. Low stancing his CA is pretty important. Don’t be afraid to push buttons against him. Taking stray hits is way less damage than getting grabbed. If you have the time and space, you can 8y thunder cancel to create distance, or 8x 6r to mix go for a mixup or escape. 8x 6r also beats Machamps 4x and let’s you jx punish so that’s pretty cool lol.

  7. Lastly, if Machamp is in burst mode… legit just pray. We get FUCKED lol.
