War Prompt

A quick history: The year is 3XXX, and humans now inhibit Planet X, an alien planet full of exotic life. The whole place is much like a giant rain forest, with rivers, ruins, and strange people named Anima. They are much like jaguar people, and the humans have enslaved them to be the work force in shaping Planet X into the new Earth. Five years ago, a new alien species has attacked and started slaughtering the people in order to remove all life from it. This is where the prompt begins.

Prompt:

The war had been raging for five years. All the great capitals of the world had fallen to the alien race that'd invaded the world, and the armies that still survived were scattered, different regiments barely holding together as they hid in different areas.

The seventy sixth regiment of what used to be the New Arc Army was camping out in an old ruin of the southern continent, consisting of a narcissistic, uncaring general who sent people out if his own life was threatened, and only a handful of soldiers left, most of whom just wanted to live another day, but one who wanted to actually end this war.

A thorough search of the ruins found a series of complicated catacombs under the ground, and some food, but also signs that someone lived there. After another day's search, an escaped Anima slave was found and captured, and dragged up to the surface. It fought quite a bit, but in the end was chained to the wall by a collar fastened about its neck, arms tied behind its back, and a muzzle put on its face.

The Anima looked to be a combination of a jaguar and a human woman. Round crimson eyes glowered from the corner to which it was chained, pale skin slightly bruised from her struggle. Her body was mostly covered in fur, looking like she was wearing a sleeveless turtleneck of black fur that cut off when the ribs ended, then started up again to cover from the hips down. Her legs had an extra joint like an animal's, and a tail lashed constantly from her anger. Her face seemed mostly human, though her mouth was full of sharp carnivore teeth, hence the muzzle. Her hands were long and feminine, but ended in retractable claws. Its stomach, arms, and face were pale skinned from lack of sunlight, but it seemed to tolerate the light well enough.

She watched them with only a few short naps, learning what she could. She bit at them when fed pieces of meat, and was muzzled most of the time. She watched them talk between each other of the enemy. It had the same weak spots as a human- a jugular that could be torn out, tendons that could be cut, vital organs. However, mechanical armor covered a lot of the body with weaknesses in the joints and throat. Another issue was their size, an easy 50 feet tall, making the weak spots near impossible to hit. Their skin was too thick for bullets, and the only way to actually kill them was to bleed them out or cut out their jugulars.

She took an interest with the one who seemed to legitimately want to fight, finding him intriguing. He also wasn't completely cruel to her, sometimes kneeling out of her range and speaking to her, though the creature only replied with low growls and faint feline sounds.

It was the middle of a new day when the alarm was raised. Five of the giant alien bio-mechanoids were visible, and were quickly on the way. Everyone scrambled to gather weapons and find a spot to hide or a vantage point, and her chains rattled as she fought them. Was she going to be abandoned?! She could do something to help!
