  11. - Although communities have participated actively in public hearings, with regard to its positioning in relation to the implementation of the Belo Monte Hydroelectric Plant, there is no consensus among them.

  14. - There are references that indicate the presence of isolated Indians from Indian lands and Koatinemo Bacajá Trench. To ensure the rights of indigenous peoples, the Funai banned for two years, the entry of people in the area called Indigenous Land Ituna / Itata, with more than 137 000 hectares.

  17. - The protection of individual programs will be strengthened with the Monitoring and Surveillance, Security and Territorial Integrity of indigenous lands, as provided in the EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment). Moreover, the restructuring of FUNAI, were created more than six fronts Ethno-environmental Protection (FPE), of which only one unit will act in Altamira and surroundings. The FPE are the units responsible for Funai's work location and monitoring of isolated indigenous groups and the constant supervision of their territories.

  20. - There is a set of emergency measures and long-term, for which they defined the responsibilities of the State and the entrepreneur. The state's role is to ensure the protection of indigenous lands affected by planning, monitoring and supervision of indigenous lands and protected areas, and surrounding these areas. There is also need to strengthen education and health care in the indigenous region of Altamira, to adjust the layout of roads and specific actions of regularization, in order to fulfill the constitutional obligations of the Brazilian State. When entrepreneur fit different actions to be implemented in accordance with the guidelines outlined in the EIA and discussed with all affected indigenous communities. In partnership with Funai and communities, is the entrepreneur who must develop and implement a plan for monitoring and enforcement in the Xingu River bed, covering the areas of higher incidence of mining. There are also other responsibilities of the entrepreneur as resources to ensure implementation of all programs provided in the EIA.

  23. - The monitoring of mitigation and compensation of impacts will be conducted jointly by FUNAI and IBAMA.

  26. - The opinion is informed by information from the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), whose results were presented to the Funai team responsible for technical studies, with special attention to indigenous component. Funai made an analysis of legal aspects, the processes of occupation in the region of influence of the dam and, specifically, the studies prepared for the environmental licensing as well as the impacts on communities and indigenous lands and compensation measures proposed.
