  1. Phantom Hourglass is a game that I have had a lot of love for over the years, and to keep things short, I have been interested defining the rules and limitations concerning a 100% speedrun. The main points that need to be decided is what items ought to be included and what methods of obtaining certain items are allowed.
  2.
  3. The two main points of contention are:
  4.
  5. 1.) What ship parts need to be included?
  6. 2.) Should trading over wifi be allowed?
  7.
  8. so let's go over these two points!
  9.
  10. 1.) Pretty much the two main options here are requiring all of the ship parts (which is painful but thorough) or obtain only all of the gold ship parts. All ship parts makes sense because obviously it's very complete in nature. Only golden ship parts also makes sense though because it gives your ship the maximum amount of health when sailing which is 8 hearts. Both of these would probably be pretty annoying depending on how the next part goes.

  12. 2.) There are two things that could be potentially useful involving the wifi capabilities of Phantom Hourglass. This includes trading ship parts with a different system that already has them. This would make getting either all of the golden parts or all the parts in general much easier. Also, there is a battle mode which would also work via download play which if you complete certain objectives in this mode scores you some golden parts. Both of these methods would require another system, and the trading would actually require a second copy of the game. These are some reasons why this is seriously a grey area. Trading via wifi to me feels a whole lot like already having treasures available in Skyward Sword 100% but I can see why many people would have a serious problem with this.

  14. I would love to hear feedback from anyone who has an opinion, on these points or on others in general. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
